What to say about Krishna sir , he is legend for me , the very best thing i like about sir ji is the way he is connected to music whenever he comes to class he instantaneously starts humming the ragas WITH HIS EYES CLOSEDthrough 2-3 hr of class you will not find his eyes open, whenever you will make mistakes then he will surely open his eyes to correct you.About my experience its just been 1 month learning from sir, i want to learn throughout my life from him, i started finding control in my high pitch and komal swars.so my advice is if you are serious for music dont waste your time , for what you are not born to..Do what your heart says, make your dreams come true and learn some serious music thats call SHASTIRIYE SANGEET from sir :)

Dear All Indian Classical Music lovers,I would like to share about my experience with Tansen Academy of Music , Chennai and my guru ji Surmani Krishna Ballesh. I am learning Hindustani Classical music Vocal for 2 years (Joined April 2014) and yes this is my destiny. I had no knowledge in Hindustani classical music. When I met my guru ji Krishna sir, I understood this is what I was searching for past 20 plus years. I felt more guilty for not finding the academy and guru ji for nearly 5 years before I join.The first thing I felt comfortable is about the divine place and my guru ji Krishna sir. A very down to earth person (I cant imagine any musician to his humbleness) , who is very patient in accepting every single mistake of every student and helps everyone in all possible ways to understand the nuances of the music and motivates every student in crossing each level in singing. I see him as maa Saraswati herself. And it is only because of my guru ji I feel the blessing of god in this birth.Krishna sir made me to understand what is Hindustani music style , he repeated the compositions (with different style every time) of every raag and made me to understand the colour of each raag. He constantly tells me where I should focus on to improve to next level. And he always insist on one thing to every student and the same he expects from everyone. It is Riyaz (Practice). I would say he will teach 300 percent or even more during the class hours delivering the best of his knowledge to every student. The same energy I see in him for past 2 years.And only Krishna sir made me to understand what a real music divinity is. He made me to understand that this music needs discipline , consistency and practice.
