One of the worst ever breakfast served in Chennai... Towels and toilet tissue roll is also not kept in room after cleaning... Very old bathroom fittings.... So dont expect to have good shower... You can request for bucket... Posting this review so they can improve with feedback...

Hall capacity only for 70 people and dine-in place also very small but for birthday party it is very nice place, for other occasions like engagement or marriage find another place

Overall experience was good but there was continuous smell in the bathroom and room which was not subsided by room freshener also. food was good. staff was polite, courteous and cooperative.

The hotel was good, but still needs improvement in terms of maintenance. The staffs are well mannered and the seminar rooms still need to be a little big.

Food quality was good and tasty.. though there were only few varieties of dishes, the taste was good.

Nice 3 star hotel.

I had a booking in Blue Iris chennai from the 8 th to the 10th .The hotel had seepage in all corridors which made the rooms stink .I had to change my room ,which was no better than the previous one. There were cockroaches in the room and no Covid precautions when I went for dinner.The servers were sneezing with no masks onI was so disgusted with the place that I checked out 1 thing on the 9 th .Mine was a official trip and I will not recommend this place for any of my colleagues .I would really request if my money is refunded for the 9 th stay .

Good hotel for stay in Chennai

It is a good hotel, nearby to the MGM hospital. Staffs were courteous. Rooms were spacious and well maintained.They will allow you to stay for 2 more hours after the standard checkout time i.e. 12pm.

Initially we faced issue with Mr. sathish, He is not at all a prompt person. We booked a banquet hall by trusting him as he said he will be there and takecare of everything but he didnt turned up at all. The way he spoke was very rough. He doesnt know the meaning of hospitality. Very cunning person please be carefull with him.But my issues was solved later by Mr. Jhonson. He is very kind and prompt person. He made our day special by solving all our needs. He totally changed our negative mindset on blue iris. My special thanks to him.We are happy with his service and food taste of blue iris. Excellent Hotel for both Business and Vacation Travellers.Rooms are quite spacious, in-house amenities are really good. Staffs are courteous yet professional. Location is convenient, nearest Metro being Aminjikarai and bus-stop being Aminjikarai. Good places to eat are also nearby. Located in a quiet residential area. Daily need shops are also at stones throw distance. Ample parking space.

Good location and walking distance from Nelson Manickam Road, there is one restaurant HOT PLATE which also provides in room dining and fifteen percent discount for in room dining. Alot of hospitals and pharmacies on the same road. As per room the fourth floor has wooden floor and glass table which whereas floor two and three has tiles floor and wooden floor, pretty much everything else is same in terms of room size and washroom size. The Hot Plate restaurant is good and is managed by Johnson who is very helpful. He helped us alot during our stay. We highly recommend to checkout this restaurant for their Biryanis.

We used to come to Blue Iris mainly due to the fantastic food, but today the food is very very bad.

Hall is compact and wont fit for more than 100 rooms are neat but needs a lot much things to improve like Ambience, bad odour etc.

With prices starting at 3k per day, its neither a budget hotel nor a luxury hotelIts a premium economy hotel that suits the massesThe entry is nice, the car park however is congested with place only available for 8 cars in the front for parking and about 5 on the sides. The guy who valet parks was an excellent person who was very cordial and parked and unparked our car multiple times, Ive never seen a smile on the valet parking attendants face in any hotel till nowThe check in process was quick and they helped us with the luggage to the room, the room was large with a king size bed, the sofa, leg rest and two tables with a safe in the cupboardThe bathroom was clean too, but the creases between the tiles were a bit dirty suggesting that deep cleaning and steam cleaning wasnt done ( which is way too much to expect from this price range )Shower and personal bathroom kits were providedMilk powder and coffee/tea was kept, the kettle was not present in the room. Called them up and we received a hot kettle within 20 minsRoom service takes some time , they took 40 mins for sending club sandwich and friesWhen outside food is got, they will not provide plates to eat.The windows are large and we get good sunlight from themRecommend the hotel for a short stay

Hotel staff is very good, food is great, service is very good specially Johnson & harry are so good humans.

They made us wait for more than 40 min for the room even after online booking and prior reminder through call. Lots of disturbances in the room. Couldnt able to sleep peacefully.

Rooms are worth for the tarrif mentioned. They should concentrate on room contents. For example, Some what old bedsheets, old towels, broken mug etc. Room service heads should check this. Other fixed interiors are good. Room and restroom are clean and well maintained. Due to covid time I cant comment on food right now. Food, if required they arrange seperately.

We stayed in this hotel for 8 nights. It is not a lavish hotel, the rooms are a bit old fashioned but their service was amazing. Chennai is on a water crisis but whenever we requested some drinking water they provided it without any questions. And never charged extra. The rooms are spacious, clean and maintained every day. The location is in a residential area so not much traffic around the place. They have a nice restaurant, quite famous, on the first floor which serves north n south Indian dishes. Their breakfast is really good. The only problem is - access to their front door by car is not easily possible as it is at the side of the building. Blue Iris management should work on it.

Good hotel. The price seems to be a bit high for the facilities offered.

Good South Indian meals. Place was clean and service was very good.Location was little interior but good place for a quite lunch and maybe dinner.I took my older uncles who prefer South Indian meals and they enjoyed it.

I stayed in the hotel on 13th and 14th of jan 2020. Some basic amenities were missing like slippers etc. Which doesnt do justification with the prices. I had to change my room from 204 to 202 because the ac was malfunctiond. There was not proper hot water for taking shower. There was seepage on room walls. The surrounding residential buildings are too close so you cant open room curtains because you feel someone is peeking.

I was here for a business meeting. The boardroom had all the amenities for a meeting. Little compact but served the purpose. Food was great, the service was good. Overall had a positive experience.

Blu Iris hotel is just off poondamalli high road and in between annan agar arch and sky walk mall. Well built and maintained hotel. Food served are good and tasty. Food rates are competitive. Medium party halls good for 100 to 120 persons. Rooms are nice with all facility. Service are at par.

Neat and tidy place

The air conditioning was not working and the rooms are without openable window after many requests they provided a standing fan. If you book this hotel online don’t be surprised to be treated badly. The front desk will open up their rate cards which is 3 times the actual cost for any hotel of their stature. You must call and check what facility are not provided for online bookings. Most of the 5 star ratings are from their own people. As a business traveler I didn’t stay a single night despite being tired with the night drive I returned to Bangalore the same day.

For those who wish to have access to central and western parts of Chennai, this is an ideally located hotel, even if its situated in a small street. Just a few mins walk from Ampa SkyWalk Mall on the Nelson Manikkam Road, its a well laid out and a thoughtfully designed hotel. An in-house restaurant on the first floor is a much needed service. The CMBT Koyembedu and the Private Omni bus stand are also very close to this place. Anna Nagar, Kilpauk, MMDA, K.K. Nagar, Arumbakkam, Aminjikarai, Nunganbakkam etc, all these areas are pretty close from here.
