Worst money minded hospital. If you dont know anything about medicine or physiology your life is completely at risk! For a simple pain, they wil order you to take X rays , CT and what not! That too, they will refer you to a worst scan center in the city which is again a forgery money minded center! Apart from all these diagnostic drama, they have prescribed heavy steroids for long duration which is not at all advised for simple pain. If you are not aware of steroids, your going to spoil your own immune system! Just for the sake of selling all costly drugs in their pharmacy. And the reception people will insist you to meet the chief doctor always. He is the master mind behind all these pharmacy business. Just take the medicine prescription and consult any doctor outside, you will know this fact. Beware and stay away from this hospital and their doctors.

Short version: Great doctors, the hospital is comparable to America, the standard of care is outstanding. Gave my mom her leg and life back. I will come back to this hospital.Details: My 73-year old mother slipped in the bathroom and broke her thigh bone. Given the urgency of the situation and COVID-19 challenges, people nearby admitted her at the local F.O.R Ortho Hospital. I was quite concerned with not admitting her at much larger hospitals, but I couldn’t do much since I was in America during the incident. When I came to India the next day, I was astonished by both the doctors and the services at F.O.R. Hospital.The hospital is state-of-the-art, modern, and well-equipped. The doctors are top-notch. They took the time to patiently explain the problem, the complexities of the surgery, how they’d do the procedure. They even showed me examples of other such operations performed before, giving me confidence and hope.The doctors operated on my mother as they’d operate on their mother. They treated the patient like family instead of treating them as a business. Given the location of the fracture and the limited availability of bone for reconstruction due to prior total knee replacement, my mom’s surgery was critical. It took about 2.5 hours to do the procedure and the doctors did a stellar job.The hospital staff is very friendly, kind, and always available to help. The in-house pharmacy, lab, and scanning facilities made it very easy to get all our needs met in the hospital. With the outstanding physiotherapy, my mom is recovering well and we expect her to fully recover the functionality of her leg and be independent soon.The team of doctors at F.O.R took a very critical case and handled it with care. They gave my mom her freedom and life back. F.O.R is as good as the larger hospitals in Chennai and comparable to many American hospitals. Overall, we are very pleased with the care and service we received. Highly recommend this hospital.

Money minded hospital. My husband met accident and got rib and leg fractured. After 5 days from accident, they operated for leg. They prolonged the patient stay and we were there for 17 days. During our stay, i have noticed that two patients were discharged from hospital and after two or three days and they again got admission in emergency. In our case also, after two days from discharge we too got admitted due to their incomplete treatment and diagnosis. For small injury also, they put everybody in ICU. They are providing food to ICU patient is breakfast idly, lunch spicy bisibelebath and dinner again idly, daily no change in the menu, even for diabetic patients (Full carbs). NO CT scan facility. They are sending patient to outside scan center in ambulance. ICU ward is so messy. They issuing the patients discharge summary after 10 days from the date of discharge. This was never happening in any hospitals. Ortho Surgeon Dr. Elangovan is good and other than that everything (infrastructure,food, treatment cost) is worst. I spended nearly 2.8 lakhs for treatment. Everybody called this hospital as Ramana hospital in that area.

Worst Hospital and Money Minded, We visited hospital for back pain and Asst Doctor was there he not even examined the patient wat happened or heard anything properly as soon we entered they asked to do the X-ray n nothing was there, he wrote the prescription for pain killer and tats it. For tat fee 400.RS, X-Ray 800.Rs which is unnecessary n price is far higher then other places, and tablet 300.Rs. the worst part is Pain got much worse not better. after al its zerodol which we would have purchased in medical shop by ourselves. what the use of doctor and hospital over ter just to get money from the people..??

Dr.P.Elangovan is the best orthopedic doctor. He is very kind, patience and highly skilled practitioner. I met with an accident with multiple injury in right leg foot in which my right leg great toe got severely injured. He explained all the aspects about my injury during my first visit and he prioritized the treatment with the aspect to save my right toe. I did the procedure in the F.0.R hospital and after multiple follow up, my right toe saved and able to walk without any support.Receptionists always friendly and make the appointment based on the doctor recommended visit. I am happy with the service provided by skilled nurses in wound dressing, intensive care and ward room.I felt more comfortable with administrative staff and housekeeping where they maintain the clean environment for the patient safety.I would strongly recommend F.O.R.ORTHO & NEURO HOSPITAL which is located in Kolathur, Chennai

For Covid this hospital is not good. They are Money minded and have no facility. Doing extra test without any requirement. Per day cost is 75 thousands. For covid if you staying 10 days ready to pay approx 8 lakhs.

Those given more than 2 rating is totally wrong. Now this hospital turned to Covid ward and fully money minded. Just they are doing treatment based on the package and not to care about patient recovery. If you dont have bed go with this otherwise look for better one...

Hospital is excellent in service from top to bottom. Dr Elongavan, his assistance and staff gives confidence and courage to the patient before and after surgery from that moment you know you are safe hands. Also the theraphy and the therapist are of very high standard. Mr Santhosh who is my therapist knows his duties very well and well mannered and patient in his job. FOR is a highly recommended hospital.One recommendation is to install a call bell for the patient.

Money-minded Doctors out here. Despite visiting for multiple consultations over 3 months, all they prescribed were pain killers, tests, more tests and MRI. The pain only got worse. THE DOCTORS HERE HAVE ZERO KNOWLEDGE OF ORTHO BECAUSE THEY WILL NOT TELL YOU WHAT THE UNDERLYING ISSUES ARE AND THEY WILL KEEP PRESCRIBING TESTS AND SCANS FOR SEVERAL MONTHS. Finally switched to a different clinic.

Dr. Elangovan performed a Knee replacement surgery for my 83 year old mother at this hospital. Since this procedure was taking place during the Covid times, I was very anxious about it. I must say that utmost care was taken and the surgery was successful. The entire team took great care. I am grateful to Dr. Elangovan, the nurses, the physiotherapist and would highly recommend this hospital for a Knee replacement.

Be carefulMoney minded hospital.. For OP, they have charged 500 Rs as a consulting fee for Dr. ELANGOVAN. But for IP, they charged 1500 Rs.. The weird thing is, he didnt meet/see the patient to understand the medical status.. Staffs arent trained well.. They havent seen the In Patients regularly.. Had to brought them forcefully, to check the patient condition/change the glucose bottle..The bed charge per day is comparitively higher than other hospitals.. They will unnecessarily admit the patient for the observation and loot the money (10K to 15K)/day..In addition to that, they charged Rs.1500 as an Consulting fee for just discussing about the patient condition for 2 mins😢😢..so be careful, while you say Hi Hello to the Dr, as you may get charged..

Broke my shoulder bone it was normal...but the hospital which had a mind of business told us have to operation as soon as possible or I wont be able to move hands further...Dont ever get treatment there ...they are cheators... they said I need to keep plate inside my bone ....I felt something fishy...I came to know all these once I had doubt and done my checkup in another hospital (MGM hospital) they said there is no need of any operation just one month rest enuff...Please dont do this to anyone else your cheating the medical ethics...I am too sad..This hospital has a rating for 4stars more..I would suggest noone to go to this hospital for treatment...Please

Doctors are very friendly and helpful for their patients at all circumstances .Staffs and Nurses are very respective to their patients. This Hospital is very neat,clean and hygienic .They have very spacious two wheeler and four wheeler parking area. Its easily visible from a high traffic area.

Very poor response , I am admitting this hospital for treatment mentioned , First last is money only . They are suggest for me MRI scan , same i am taking MRI scan report , its 7500 ruppes , not at all reviewing my report . Its total waste for my money . I am following my Bill last 4 months , in reception simply saying nurse in not in duty . She is on leave.Same any patient came mean they are attend for money collection , its is not good . Any one leave they are plans for alternate person . Simple document also depending on people . Its not good .
