The ambiance is good and service is very efficient. Dont expect anything fancy with the ambiance - its got just what it needs. If you are looking for proper south Indian food, this is the place to go! Starting from the desserts every dish was authentic and super delicious. The service is amazing and very well behaved staff, flawless service and quick serving of the food, what else do you need?

Ambience is too good and so are the staffs. Veg thaali is the usual one made in a south Indian home (pls dont get that for 750 bucks) rasam is also called soup! Bun parotta and mushroom coconut gravy was gr8. Non veg liked it but was overly spicy and overall very expensive. This place suits for foreigners who would like to try traditional South Indian delicacies the way it is prepared at homes. Not for locals...

My parents are senior citizens and picky on restaurant food. I ordered swiggy delivery for them as the menu looked interesting. They were very happy with all the items. They found the seasoning, taste, freshness and packing were all top notch. I will continue to order for them from here. Glad to find this gem.

Just ok. Ambience is only thing thats good. Good taste was OK.Went with family in onam season. Very small amounts of portions are being served. Had to ask multiple times(some times they forget to bring).Felt expensive... for the service and food they provide.Mainly, Restaurant should have a proper wash area. I see only one wash basin and wash room and customers are waiting in queue to wash hands.Small/ inexpensive restaurants have better hand wash area and wash rooms.

This Restaurant is located on the Gandhi Mandabam road in kotturpuram exactly opposite to AMM Matriculation School and few yards from the Anna Centenary Library...Due to a unique and traditional frontage this place is pretty hard to miss too..Mutton Nenjelumbu Rasam : In recent times i have tried the mutton nenjelumbu rasam quite often and believe me when i say that this was the best i have had in my life time..Man the taste is still lingering on my tongue and just cant get enough of it..Perfectly spiced and bone extract was just perfect too..This would be such a bliss to ppl with sour throat or cold..Vazhai poo Vadai : Hailed from the Kongunadu Cuisine this is one of the best vadai i have had thanks to the perfect texture with a crispy exterior and yummy banana flower and dhal mixture that is served with coconut chutney which is a worthy accompaniment to this yummy vadais..Pallipalayam Mutton : Such soft and succulent pieces of mutton mixed in with coconut in a traditional pallipalayam masalas..Was just perfect in my opinion..yummy and it just left me wanting for more..Urulai Podi Varuval : This belongs to the chettinad cuisine..Small Baby potatoes boiled well and tossed along with a mixture of ground lentils, chili powder and other items...This was the least impressive of the lot IMO..Yeral Varuval : Prawns fried in with chilli powder with a hint of turmeric along with curry leaves and sesame seeds..The Prawns were soft and succulent and seemed so fresh overall..This too belonged to the Chettinad cuisine..Pacha Masala Meen Fry : Seer fish that was grilled on a tawa in a green masala which had hints of curry leaves and also of lemon and other spices..the taste was something that stays on the tongue for a long while and the fish too was perfectly cooked..Kongu Mutton Biryani : As the name suggests this was a typical kongu style mutton biryani with some tender pieces of mutton..The biryani was flavorful and quite aromatic and a must try when you visit the restaurant..Eraichi Ishtew : Man This was one of the richest gravies i have had in a while and all this richness is from the rich coconut milk that was cooked in with the tender pieces of meat...The gravy is lightly spiced due to the addition of black pepper..and i recommend this with the aapams..They also have a veg variant called the Veg Ishtew..Milagu Kozhi Chettinad : A Typical Chettinad dish spicy and yummy with crushed black pepper and lichen along with succulent chicken pieces..went well with the bunparotta..Neichor : Rich rice with flavor of cardamom along with bay leaves...The Aroma of the butter was just top notch and as said the gravy served as the accompaniment did its job pretty well..Drinks : We did try a variety of drinks of which the nannari sharbath was a welcome drink and it was quite perfectly made and good in taste..The neer more was quite decent..Vasantha Neer based of tender coconut was quite average IMO..Panagam was the best of the lot but was not consistent as the 2 drinks we ordered were a lot different in taste..Kokum Mojito and Kulaki Sharbath were also Good..Suleimani Chai : The mix of arab and kerala this sulemani chai was one of the best i have had in recent times and that too in chennai..Desserts : Kavuni Arisi Halwa and elaneer payasam were the ones we tried..The Elaneer payasam was just too good perfectly sweetened and yummy..The Halwa based up with kavuni arisi was really good and topped with cashews..Too good..Savya Rasa did live up to my expectation with some good and yummy tasting food items...Though a couple of items did not meet expectations the majority of the items actually exceeded expectations and a few of them are something i would recommend in chennai for sure..Yes the pricing is on the higher and can be said its at par with star properties but the taste of food items and exceptional service in addition to the top class quality makes it completely worth to try on some special occasions.. A place i would definitely recommend in chennai..

Today me and my friend went to this hotel to have a lunch, without knowing anything about this hotel went there.Ambience is good and the bearers wearing veshti and shirt. The menu is mixed with South Indian dishes (all four states). For starters we ordered Kori Ghee Roast which his Karnataka dish and the taste was awesome. For main dish ordered Kozhi Chatti Biriyani this was also good, but the taste starter didnt match with this. The bearer would have suggested accordingly. The final touch was bettel leaf with seeval paaku wow its a must try one. They have parking space and valet parking.

Good food... good ambiance. The vegetarian thali with a few meat starter dishes are what i would recommend. The veg soup is a bit too spicy but the other dishes are moderately spicy. The thali represents a variety of south indian cuisines and each taste is authentic to that region. The walls could do with a dash of paint (but i guess the pandemic and lockdown hit them hard - they looked OK before that).

The place looks very cool, a proper traditional kind of a restaurant. The waiters are dressed up traditional wears. The ambience is awesome. Food varieties are based on different regions. à la carte is more preferable than meals. When it comes to cost it is expensive. On an average for a person to try starter, main course and a dessert it will cost around ₹1500.

Such a money waste. Too much money, too little taste. Very less quantity. Being a Chettinad restaurant where spice a main ingredient, the mutton biryani tasted bland. Everything veg stuff has betel leaf to it. You need rasam? vetrilai rasam, garlic rice?vetrilai poondu saadham. Nannari Sarbath on a hot day? We serve without ice on a normal soda. Bun parotta was good but their best veg accompaniment mushroom gravy was average. Gosh! We spent ₹6000 for 5 ppl where all of us were unsatisfied and still hungry. Will never return.

Had high hopes of these place initially since its launch. Went for a lunch with the office team and ordered the Veg thali. Though super pricy at 800+ I hoped the quantity, service and quality will match the price. But I was sorely disappointed with the first two. The service was in a way lacklustre. You ask for some Barottas and they bring you exactly a single piece and three people are waiting to have it. And its embarrassing to keep asking every single time get me more get me more. The Elaneer Souffle priced at 250 was brought in a cup thats smaller than the chutney portion served at Saravana Bhavan. Though supposed to be an unlimited thali you keep on have to grab the attention of the waiter to say bring this bring this pls. I asked for a cup of curd in the meals and they kept wondering if I am ordering an exquisite dish specially prepared in the Masterchef kitchens. Some of the dishes had very good taste but somehow the meal wasnt satisfying to any bit and you just feel they could simply overhaul the overall meal and do something better. I dont mind the pricing as long as it justifies the value it brings to the table. Ambience alone doesnt equate to a steep price. So would I go again? Extremely unlikely..

Thanks to the set menu provided by Savya Rasa.As for as location consern they are located just opposite to Amm school, in a busy road. Still they have valet parking.Food they provide are south indian. Savya Rasa means South Indian flavours in Sanskrit.Ambience is very good inside the hotel. Neat and clean. They provide both ala-carte as well as Set menu, there is no buffet. Set menu is only for dinner and provided only for groups with more than 10 people.Set menu cost 1200+10% Service charge +Gst per head, which I think nominal compared to other restaurants .For Set menu they have pre listed items , you can change them while booking. Booking should be made earlier so that they can prepare for Set menu. They have awesome foods. Starting from herbal water to betel leafs at the end.
