I have ordered cotton yarn. Quality was good and also quick delivery. However, I see there are around 4 to 5 knots for whole ball. Customer service is very prompt and helpful on this matter and assured this will not occur again.I would recommend this yarn, its bit pricey side but worth the quality.

Really good place to learn weaving which offers quality materials and knowledge. I registered myself for a pattern weaving course and without a doubt it was worth every single penny i spent. I even went on to purchase a table loom and have been loving it everyone there is extremely friendly and exceptionally knowledgeable so i really reccomend all of you to visit the place once...and i am sure u will fall in love with the place just like i did...

I visited the studio at Adyar. Excellent place for learning, very approachable and friendly faculty and they also have a shop with wide selection of Ashford looms, yarns and other materials. Most of the Merino wool for my graduation project was bought from them.Its wonderful to see the work happening at the studio.

I spent about 2 weeks at shuttles and Needles learning how to spin my own custom made art yarns using their top of the line equipment to create unique mesmerizing art yarns. It was truly an amazing experience, it helped me to channel my creativity and made me feel calm and relaxed. It was a therapeutic experience. It was a unique experience attending the summer workshop here. Hand weaving is a form of therapy, which gives us satisfaction and also makes us more creative.

I came across Shuttles and Needles in Instagram. I was amazed to see the range of products they could offer. I instantly placed my order and got my order delivered hasslefree. I was super happy about the quality. I have been getting products for my grandmother in Tirunelveli. She has got a way to beat the lockdown boredom with crocheting now... looking forward to visit the store someday and explore more.

I was planning to make a weaving tapestry and was looking for merino wool to add the beautiful lumpiness and texture to it. However no matter how hard I searched, I just couldnt find merino wool that I could source in India at a reasonable price. I had almost given up and decided to request my friend travelling home from the USA to get some for me. However, I luckily stumbled upon Shuttles and Needles website through an instagram post. I was able to find each and every material that I required for the tapestry, especially the wool yarn at a very reasonable price with loads of colour and texture options. I expected some delay in delivery due to the COVID-19 pandemic and lockdowns, but it was delivered well within time and I was able to complete my tapestry. The merino wool had a very rich colour and soft texture which exceeded my expectations. Was very happy that the colour of the yarn looked exactly like the picture on their website. They also hold workshops and classes at their studio in Chennai which I would be very interested in attending.

This lock down, my kids are bored to tears, watching YouTube videos all day. Suddenly, my child asks me for a wool felting set. I have no idea what that even means and educate myself about it (yes, now my algo is confused about what I like haha). Well, Amazon had a set but it was not delivering - cause COVID. I did a general search online and up pops Shuttles & Needles calling it a wool needling set (who knew!). I ordered the set and it was delivered the NEXT day. OMG! The packing, their newsletter, the personal note - We felt so special. My child, having mastered the technique of wool needling by watching hours and hours of YT videos, produced masterpiece after masterpiece. One of which I attach here. I subsequently have ordered some cotton wool from them (it was a huge mistake and Im trying to work with it, but itss so hard - but its MY mistake and i take 100% ownership). IN CONCLUSION .... I have nothing but super good things to say about this store. They are prompt, responsive, and love what they do. Do buy from them and support a local business!

I took the basic weaving class and enjoyed a lot . Mr Naresh explains everything very well and guides you through different types of weaves in four days.

Very interesting place to visit. The total team headed by the MD Mr. Naresh help the visiters to understand the concept of fabric making from fibre using simple hand operated machines and baby looms. Mr. Naresh himself has demonstrated how Innovative designs can be produced in the fabric using different fibres and different types of baby looms they have.They teach us the hobby of making making fashionable fabrics​ as well as the toy making with the kits they have.They provide the resources for you to relax.Worthy place in Centre of the city.
