Ask for 100% payment in advance, levy high transportation costs without consultation. And if there is a mistake in the order, they do not care or respond. Order was placed a month in advance too! Reviews here are misleading IMO

Our home is near to the sea shore. So, we searched the best fabricator for designing the Canopy area and finally we found Affa Tile Company. If you are looking for clay tile roofing/wall cladding/any traditional elements to your new home, just visit their showroom without 2nd opinion. In Chennai, they are providing best service. Providing quality materials and roof fabrication work also excellent. My only concern is their time, but due to Covid I am unable to blame them on this. Once all their works finished, I am very much satisfied with the outcome which is most important for every customer:-)

I had the opportunity to use their services quite recently for a mangalore roofing project that we did. Having handled multiple vendors over a period of 20 years for various projects, should say it was nice dealing with Affa tiles. They had a professional approach and while the charges were at par with market rates, their delivery was what caught my attention. They have a professional team of supervisors and workers and they were quite efficient and courteous in their approach. Time lines were maintained and they were prompt in their execution. Minor niggles which were there post installation were also attended to when we called them, to our satisfaction. All in all a very good concern to associate with - both management and staff have a very genial approach. Will definitely associate with them for all my future requirements.

Best place to get all necessary building materials

I went to Affa Tiles Company at Arumbakkam, Chennai based on user reviews in this web site. Based on their high rating I was little liberal in accepting their showroom persons words and showroom samples. However, my experience with Affa Tiles Company was not a happy one.I rate the Affa Tile Company very low for their highly deceiving marketing ways and their after purchase behavior.I went to the place to buy 3,800 9’ by 9’ weathering course terracotta tiles. Various types of sample tiles were shown along with their rates. I narrowed down to a three items and asked for the reason for some variation (Rs. 0.50 to 1.50) in the cost. It was informed that the reason was cost of transportation but quality will be uniform and good.I did not bargain with them, just asked them to give a good price and good product. I agreed with the price they gave. Next day tiles were delivered at my site. It was found that the tiles had many defects unlike sample tiles shown in showroom.1.) Majority of tiles (8 out 10 checked pairs) had warping ie., when two tiles are pressed and held together on one edge a gap of 1 to 3 mm between the tiles was observed on other end indicating tiles were not straight. After laying these tiles it can lead to stagnation of water in the tile itself.2.) In the supplied lot, size of the tiles was not uniform. Some tiles were nearly 2.5 to 4-mm smaller than others.3.) It was also found that nearly 5% to 10% of tiles were not properly baked as they were of much lighter red color or even reddish yellow in color. After laying these tiles can get soften or dissolve in rains.On my compliant, their representative inspected the lot at my place and shockingly informed that “This is the quality what you get for the rate you have paid”, and the “Samples at showroom are specially selected, and it may not represent the lot quality!” It was informed that I should have gone to their godown and selected tiles! That person indirectly inferred “not believe them and need to take care of myself.”If replacement is needed I was asked to pay for loading, transport from my place, go to their godown to select the material and pay the difference in cost of tiles, and again loading, unloading and transport. This leads to an additional cost of 10 to 13K and also stoppage of work for some days.Their office staff gave some excuses and finally when cornered I was told that their owner who had to decide and he not available. He will call back afterwards. The call never came.I had to use only good tiles and throw out defective tiles. Nearly 850 tiles were rejected as they could not be used in any manner.Following is my advise based on my experience with Affa Tile Company.1.) Avoid Affa Tile Company. I feel their high ratings on the web site should be taken with a pinch of salt. Don’t blindly believe in the high ratings.2.) If for some reason you have to get items from Affa Tile Co. then “Be alert to check the actual lot, don’t believe the showroom samples.” Also, be mentally prepared to expect very limited care from the company.
