The location is good with marina beach at walking distance. Had a bad experience as the AC wasnt working, however the manager was considerate enough to charge us for NON AC room.

Moderate pricing but small room. Both for A/C as well as non-A/C. You get wifi, T.V., a bed, a bedside table.

First of All I made a reservation through Booking.com at a discounted rate, a very cheap rate. The manager was so rude and did not allowed me check-in. He insisted me for direct booking and told that rooms are not available and he will take direct bookings at higher price. First of all what is the purpose of booking through Booking.com. My personal suggestion if you are in the city then this hotel is strictly avoidable and dont visit this hotel.

Worst hotel, very dirty, no service.I was stayed at suit room but no service, towl not available, drinking water not available... Even TV also not working. No cleaning, when I forced then he just dusting only. Very smells, actually its not a residency... It just a dirty lodge.I never suggest to anybody... Actually a cab driver cheat us for his commission.

I booked the room in this hotel from goibibo even after knowing there are many negative comments on this hotel.When I asked manager for early check in of 2 hours he asked extra money. And then I went to hotel and asked him to show room with out telling goibibo booking, he showed me room thats very good in the first floor, and he said the room cost very high compared to online, then I asked him about the online pricing then he said, there are separate rooms and he shown rooms where bathrooms are broken and rooms full of dust. Then I decided not to pay for goibibo booking, and I negotiated then he has shown room in the third floor, which really smelled bad when I initially entered and the room was not hygiene, any how I adjusted overthere for two days, with my father and during the check out they have seen the time, we are checking out at proper time, they cant be able to charge us extra, so the manager came and started lying that we need to pay extra as we are two members. During the check in time I clearly informed and fixed the cost. He is very rude and he didnt have any manners, we gave the money and when I said Ill write a review then he reacted by saying you cannot do anything with your review, no one knows you or cares your review, just do whatever you want. I havent come across such an unprofessional manager. If you require hotel just call oyo or use any other means, I wouldnt recommend this hotel even in worst cases.

The cost of rooms for a day are too high... ranges around 1200 per day for a double cot room with a TV set... Poor room service and have to find restaurants to eat outside. Suituated from 1.5km from beach and its almost accessible from central station... Needs improvement from the management side.

The worst hotel I have ever stayed in Chennai. The behaviour of the hotel manager is very rude. Their attitude is like they are favouring you as you came there for treatment. This hotel is not at all fit for family as there is a safety related issue. Window are broken and doors are not properly looks. I am sending you the pics as a proof. They are supplying directly sea water. The condition of bathroom is very poor. My request is to avoid this hotel if you are coming with your family. More over they will over charged you..

This hotel was good

When u book online they show better photos but when u reach there its quite inverse and further more manager is sweet to you when u come in but while checking out youll see their true colors. Water in washrooms is salty and they dont even have drinking water facilities. Id say skip it and go to one Im sharing a screenshot of below. Maybe cost is a bit higher but its closer to station and main road and maintenance is far better.

Worst experience had with this hotel. In mid night we didnt have option other than that for car parking which is close to beach so we took a room. Rooms are not clean and its full of mosquitoes. I went with my nine months old baby and we suffered a lot for just one night and imd in morning we checked out the room. No drinking water, not even a mosquito coil. About Bedcovers its not even worth able to talk. Strongly not recommended.

I live in this s hotel for 3 days, just want to share my experience. Till now this is the worst hotel I live in. There is no positive to write but below are the behaviours that staff member don with me:1. We have been provided room in 3rd floor, room is very dirty, in each corner of the room there is black spot all over.2. In wash room there is no lock, when I asked them to change the lock, they just told me that we will change your room but that day never came.3. In washroom, there is western toilet in which flush is not working and we have to use bucket, again we told this to manager, we get same reply hut that day never came. Additionally bucket is also damage.4. If you open the window you will find files of garbage (mostly alchoal bottles) and that was smelling badly. They use room freshner and then they take customer to rooms so that they can stay.5. There is big problem for drinking water,every time you have to do downstairs and take on their own. If you tell them to give water to their it will take a year to reach water in your room.5. We live their 3 days but none of the day they clean the room, so you can understand how dirty that room was.6. And most importantly, they will not give you any bill, I told them you charge GST and give me the original bill but that denied in giving bills.7. We checked in early morning (6 am), and our flight was at 2 pm, so I asked them to stay for 2 hours extra and we will left that at 8 but hey denied that also, in lost of the hotel we find that they allow for 2 to 3 hours extra depending on room booking. Although there is no booking for that room still they denied.8. In their advertise you will see free WI-FI, I can bet you on this you will never get internet. They have 3 routers and they will provide you password which signal is very low at your floor. Is asked them that your internet is not working, but they told my phone has default.THIS IS MY EXPERIENCE OF LIVNG IN THIS HOTEL WHICH IS PATHETIC. THERE IS LOTS OF HOTEL AROUND THIS, TRY ON THAT BUT NEVER ON THIS HOTEL.

I would not recommended this hotel for anyone. This is a worst place I ever had during this holiday in India. Front desk manager was very rude and very unpolite to us, no respect at all. Very bad and dirty rooms. Bathroom was disgusting. Salt water for shower and for personal use. Very hot in the room, fan is Woking but very slowly. We have tried to cancel it but too late..I would not recommended to any one. This building has construction work in inside the hotel and very much dust. This is illegal to rent rooms like that for foreign tourists.

The room were not looks like in the picture they shown in internet. Rooms are very small. Not proper room service. No rooms available as per our wish. No room refresher so the room are smells bad. No landline phone to contact the reception. In non AC room there is only one window even that also surrounded by wall of next building. But the bed was nice. Free wifi and television facilities are good.

The room and location was good and nice staffs. but the room was having broken windows and lots of mosquitos troubled our nights. The bathroom was clean but the water supply seems to be directly from the sea. we can not put the water in our mouth because of severe salt present in it. The bed was of steel and too noisy, not suitable for couples.The mosquitos and the sound of the bed disturbed our nights and the salt in the water make it difficult for fresh ups. the broken windows made it more insecure.

This hotel is not so good because here bed is not good. Here under the bed is spring. U cant sleep well with this bed. Here wifi is poor nd network is good for your mobile phone. Room are not so clean. It has no charging slots. So if you come here so plz first you check the bed nd room. Then you will come here.

I recently booked non AC room in this hotel. So writing review for the same.Cons1. Very small room with no exhaust, youll feel extreme humidity in the room and will not able to breathe only.2. Fan in non AC room is very slow, youll be sweating all day.3. They dont provide cold drinking water, youll have to drink normal water.4. They claim cleaning of room daily, but it didnt happen a single time in my 4 day stay.5. Bed is in pathetic condition, can break any time. They wont change after complain also.6. Hi all. Wish to tell you all one thing. The room is below average. No wifi password they provided even though there is wifi facility. No hot water provided. Single power point only with always on. No regulator is working. Kindly check everything and confirm before you board in.

The photos are only of AC rooms so dont go only by pics. Non Ac rooms are pathetic. I booked through Yatra, after checkin you cant cancel the booking for the rest of the days as told by Yatra customer care. The staff is friendly though. We took a day (outside city) tour package but they made us visit only some of the places out of the listed places.

Its very close to some very popular places in Chennai like Chepauk stadium and Marina beach. Also its not too far from Central railway station. However, the rooms are not that clean, the walls are full of webs. The service is also not bad but the food is costly, its not a problem though because outside of hotel there are a lot of hotels, its like a heaven for food lovers. 😋

Hotel on main Road of Triplicane High Road, very near to Merina Beach. It was nice experience. Reasonable rate with best facilities. Room service was quite good.

I stayed there for 3 days its a 2 room suite for 3 people. Rent is 1200 Rupee per day in non air-conditioning state. Room quality is very good. Bathroom room have bath tub. Good place to stay.

Indian style customer service. This hotel is a good hotel that can stay 24 hours. However, you can not stay 24 hours if you use booking com. I used this place twice but the OPINION of staff change every time. This is Indian style. It is difficult for foreigners and I get bad feel I can not recommend it much.

There is 24 hrs checkout, even its is clearly mention on website as well as their Rate card. But we check In at 10.30 Pm in night they asking to check out at 12.00 Noon. I just asked 1 hrs Extension because my train at 3.00 Pm but they asking extra 1 day charge.5) At night 11.00 Pm they are knocking our door & asking for money, when we said we will pay in morning they are behaving rudely. We asked for drinking water they said go & buy yourself from outside.My experience is Horrible with Hotel Thaj Regency. Please never book this Hotel in Chennai.

Hi Readers Thaj Regency is a good place to stay for. The location is good. The only problem is the sticky smell in washroom and smoking smell in varandah. They can atleast use room fresher inside room. Rest all ok. Its worth for money . 👠👠ğŸ‘

We stayed in this hotel cos it was near to the railway station. First if all there is no power back up and the current goes away very frequently. There is only salt water available in the washroom...Some rooms do not have the geaser facilities so you have to ask the service ppl to supply hot water. There are lots of mosquitos in the rooms. The maintenance is very bad as they do not often clean the room.The room service ppl speak harshly to the customers.My opinion is not to go for this hotel at any cost....

I stayed here for 5 day in an AC room.. room is ok. They didnt give me wifi password for my laptop and told me wifi is only for cell phone.i got into an argument and finally they gave the password and username.. water is free. Laundry is costly.. in this hotel if you choose non Ac then the room will be much hotter than the outside,so plz dont choose non AC rooms.Also all rooms have TV with cable.Water heater is not available,but the bathing water is good
