The main outlet on 2nd Main Road is generally crowded. However, it is much more convenient to shop at the smaller outlet on 1st cross road, where one can get quick service.

WARNING!!! They sell expired sweets and snacks . We got A KG of mothi ladu and bathusha , When we opened the box it smelled expired.THIS SHOP IS GOING TO DIE ONE DAY FOR SURE.

I used to be a huge fan of the aval porri urandais that is available during Karthigai Deepam. I usually buy many packets bcos i love the taste and flavour. This year, I m very disappointed bcos the urandais taste very ordinary and there is no dry ginger taste and the usual ghee fragrance is missing. I dont know if the quality has gone down or is it the carelessness of the cooks!!

This is a very popular outlet in Chennai. They prepare traditional sweets n snacks with quality n taste.So people throng this shop regularly as well as during festivals.They had a chain of such outlets across Chennai but it has been reported that they have sold all the outlets except this one which was their first n original outlet.It appears they also take orders for weddings n parties n supply. A value for money sweet n snacks outlet.

No item is ever available, and the available snacks are often old, and nearly spoilt.

It’s been my all time favourite hub for veg South Indian food. Their snacks are quality fulfilled . Been a big fan of their food since 1998 and can’t find any one better the man their snacks till date.

Typical another Grand Sweets shop. Shop was totally deserted.... mostly due to Covid19 situation. Just two staff were there and both were friendly.

Had evening tiffin in Grand sweets . There are two grand sweets ( May be partition / split ) in Gandhi Nagar . the one called GSS where we had tiffin was very bad . Rawa dosa was bad and requested a crisp one . They took back the dosa recook the same and gave it back ?? It was horrible ! Poori was very oily and the Sabji was so so . Suggest to avoid or may be you can try the next shop which may be original ??

Gandhinagar Grand Sweets is a new one, and not at all meets the original Adayar GSS standards in taste. Do not advise to go there, as the original one is just a few yards away.

This is a house of Indian sweets and the quality is maintained here for 40years since I know this place. Even after a week the sweets and snacks stay fresh. They have started restaurants also with the sweets sale outlets with good tiffins and rice for lunch

The old charm and the traditional environment is lost. Whilst taste of some items such as mysore pak and kaimuruku were good improvements are required in Sonpapdi and Adirasam. Parking arrangements were adequate.

Awesome chips

I had a very bad experience and quality of the food was literally very low standard and NO aircon in the restaurant and on top of it pricing of all the tiffin items are more than 40% with comparing to their 2nd Main Road, Gandhi Nagar shop. Hence please avoid this shop and better to visit their 2nd Main Road shop.

I had gone to GSS to order onion pakodas ti ship to the US. They didnt provide service immediately, even though nobody else was there. And even when the keeper addressed me, when a few ladies came up, he cut me off and tended to them. This had continued for about 30 minutes, until began to leave the shop (i dont like losing my temper, so I chose to leave instead of causing a ruckus). It was only then that the guy came to stop me from leaving, and enquired of what I wanted. Finally, my order was placed, and I left .I understand that GSS has a big name and all that, but that doesnt mean you can treat your customers like trash. This was the impression I receive from this branch. The other thing is, sine its a new branch, I dont even know how good the pakodas will be!I hope the pakoda atleast makes the experience a little less disappointing.
