If you are expecting service with a smile then go elsewhere. If you are looking to have delicious dosa then do not come here either. If you are looking to have tasty starters then this is the place. The service is somewhat cold. The dosas are mighty thin, oily and the potatoe masala inside was some sort of instant mash concoction. All starters including the idlis were super tasty, pipping hot and fresh.

Dosai with a difference. Prepared to a very high standard. Non of the other Dosai shops in Eastham are as good as this one. Must taste. Will definitely go back again.

The quality of food is the best of all the Indian restaurant on East Ham. They have the best variety of chutneys. The prices have been hiked. They are doing some form of Eat Out to Help Out for September.

Great South Indian food. They have another chain in Singapore as well (which I have tried previously). Food didnt disappoint me at all Podi ghee idli is a must try. I would rate their dosas above saravana bhavans.

Probably the best-tasting South Indian food in London. I am happy to ride the tube 35 mins every other weekend to eat there, despite the poor service (e.g. incorrect orders, cold sambhar). However the people there are super nice and fix everything when you ask with a smile. Will continue to visit!6-star food, 2-star service for an average of 4 stars overall.

Quite Authentic Idli/Dosa with 4 different chutneys and excellent hot sambar, small menu will few items prepared well- similar to Murugan Idli of Madurai/Chennai (though there is no black board with available items written in Tamil, banana leaves). Filter coffee was also very good. Accidentally happened to be in East ham today (think they opened yesterday, so decorations still there as you see in the pic). Ofcourse will be visiting many times in the future!! You need to also start take away...

Found out about this place when it first opened. Have a bigger menu now. Place is always clean. Better than the rest of the South Indian restaurants. Food is good but they make it too spicy compared to before. Spoils the taste. Panyaram is my favourite but again too spicy now, even the coconut chutney is not mild anymore. Change the recipes a little please.

Overall, okay good but overpriced considering small portion sizes. At the time of writing this review they are offering 50% if you only have Dosa and Idly. 35% off if you have Dosa and Idly with other items. I would say it was still overpriced considering the discount.Food was okay.. Chilli Paneer 7/10, good taste, well cooked and marinated. Perfectly fried.Dosa : 5/10. The inside masala looked like overcooked soggy mash potato, so not the best filling.Portion size: 2/10 really small in comparison to other south indian restaurants on the same road.Service was good... 9/10Price value: 3/10. Massively overpriced for the small portion sizes.

The 2 star is for food. Quite tasty. Service doesnt exist at all. We went in for dinner. All the tables were busy and they had only one person attending all tables, taking orders and serving. We had to ask for basics like tissues, water etc more than thrice. To get the gentlemans attention was a task. Gentlemen in the table next to us were getting restless due to lack of service. The restroom was very, very dirty. First time and not very impressed. We may give it another try on a not so busy night.

Went here for the first time due the hype and the name. There is nothing special compared to similar places where they serve South Indian food.Portions sizes are tiny and the prices do not reflect that. They dont serve tea. I mean, why not? The Menu is simple with variety of choice of idles, dosas and amongst other South Indian favourites - indo Chinese food. Awful experience. This was our first (and last) visit to try a different place. They cant get their signature dish correct - Idli! One portion of idlis is £2.80 containing two mediocre idlis, thin coloured water with a few cubes of carrots was a sorry excuse for sambar. Unfortunately this was a take away order so we couldnt return the food. Manager was not willing to refund. If you order for more than one portion, ask for individual parcels as the quantity of sambar for four portions was in one container and was only enough for 2 spoons per person. There are plenty of restaurants in the area that have a better quality of food.
