No pleasent experience with the bank any of the time I visited. I wonder what makes people oppose privatization after experiencing so much of arrogance by the service provider forgetting they are service provider.
No response for the customer properly, no one is picking up the call, always the phone is busy but the bank is not too busy. All the systems are very slow and customer are waiting for long-time for the pass book entry .

Can never get their line. Always says it is busy. Even after bank working time also. That means they intentionally keeping the phone engaged to avoid disturbances from the customer. Then how to contact them?
Went for depositing cash. Poor response. They didnt know the rules well. Kept arguing on what is the limit to take deposits. There is a good withdrawal and deposit machine in the ground floor. It does the job smoothly.
Timings are changed to 10 A.M. to 4.00 P.M Monday through Saturday.2nd & 4th Saturdays are Holidays.
Worst branch . For just changeing a passbook they made me wait for 1 hour . Such an useless branch Arumbakkam. There is 4 cabins . But in that only one staff is wrking . Very bad .poor service.

Typical SBI bad behavior.Like everyone else I wanted to open a SBI account despite the bad service . With all required documents I entered the bank navigated through the crowd and found a gentleman seated next to a huge poster saying Walk In and Walk out with an account in 15mins. For a brief moment my hopes were high. I filled out forms, gave the documents. Then the gentleman started thambi neenga nethu super singer paathingala, yennaama paduna andha chinna ponnu.. OK this went on for the next 40 minutes. I never watch super singer. I was asked to come again with some extra docs which were not necessary. Day 2 same routine repeated. I must have sat in front of that poster atleast 15 times Walk in and Walk Out with an account in 15 mins. It took me 3 days to open an account!

People know very well the reason for such a rating for SBI. No need of explanation.
The cheque takes 6 days to clear pathetic.. I guess they are using our money to do online trading... it is ridiculous.
