The place had a good ambience and decently priced. When people give 5 star rating it means all is well.Same way it was for me at this restaurant from ambience to service and food was all 5 star rated.Snapdragon was the best refreshing drink I had, dumplings were good and specially the way it was presented. Sweetcorn chicken soup qty was too filling.I appreciate the way they asked me to wait and helped to the table which I was later asked to sit and dine in.Cheers to the team and keep up the good work.

Good pan asian food.better to check the portion sizes before ordering so you dont over-order. Choices are between mutton, chicken and prawns for non-veg.

Opted for takeaway and tried theirCrystal dimsum, veg hakka noodles and chunky Caramel sponge cake (must try).Not a fan of the dimsum.Noodles was decent.Taste wise loved the Caramel cake but the quantity is not sufficient.

Visited here on 11th September 2021, hadnt any reservation.The staff were polite and accomodated my wife and I. Id requested a seating area with a sofa, as my wife is pregnant. The staff managed to accomodate this request as well.Wed ordered Honey Chicken, Hong Kong Style Chicken and Spicy fried rice. Everything was served on time and presented well. The food was excellent.We had a great dining experience here and would recommend this place to anyone. Will definitely come back here soon.

Nice place with friendly staff. Menu is limited but outstanding. Fusion of Japanese and various Asian cuisine. Taste-wise, food is really good and every dish has a unique taste and flavour. Portion size is not bad. Located at KNK, the bill is on the higher end. Packaging of food is excellent and branded.

The food was really good. I had ordered the Mamagatos Chicken Broth for the hungry soul and it was exceptional. Not too spicy, and not too bland, the broth was perfect as it wasnt too salty either. I highly recommend the place, the ambience, and the dish. My only gripe was that it was more on the expensive side (around 750 for 1 person)

I’m sure that there are a million awesome reviews about Mamagato and I guess that’s why i never bothered writing one!But, can we also share some space for their amazing delivery service through this entire pandemic!Having searched high and low (or whatever the phrase is in this online ordering times) for a decent Clear Soup, my colleague and I stumbled upon Mamagato and it’s our automatic go-to place now. Today, though, they decided to up their game and sent us food in this lovely paper bag! Truly added to the awesome feeling from the food!

The place was neat and tidy. We went there on a weekday and expected, there was hardly any crowd.The food was quite ok. We ordered a few veg and non veg starters along with a couple of soups. The veg soup was quite nice. Also, the starters on Basil Chicken and Brocolli Peanut salad were quite good. Other items, were ok and nothing to explicitly talk about.For the quality and quantity of food being served, the place was quite overpriced. For the same price, there are better options around the city for good Asian & Chinese food.

I actually fell in love with the place. They have spectacular service, the staff are very nice, helpful and will guide you with everything you need. What I found very interesting is the design inside the restaurant. Above all, their food is top notch. No wonder why they say fun asian eating. Easily the best place in Chennai for South East Asian cuisine. Japanese, Chinese, Thai, Malaysian and Indonesian. Their flavours are awesome. The sushi was ultimate and their crackers are unlimited. Chicken Basil cups has a little Indian local flavour, still with the sauce has a different umami and takes it to a different cuisine. Fiery bowl was again a decent and good bowl.

Mamagoto, an experience worth the time. This classy japanese restaurant offers amazing food and drink selections. Starting with some crunchy complementary starter to a tasty refreshing drink menu, carrying along with sizzling starters, followed by appetizing main courses and finishing off with some succulent desserts. Mamagoto is a Pure Asian Kitchen restaurant, the food what they serve you’ll mesmerise you to the next. The best was honey chicken & traditional lamb, tastes tremendously good. Service was just 5 stars, Price is too higher but food tastes really yummy and tasty. They are nice in service & serving the food in delicate manner. Must try. They have valet parking service which will make you even easier to drop off & have a feast.

I went for lunch with a friend, and we had to wait quite a bit for a table. They ended up giving us seating off the counter, and it really wasnt so bad, The place was kinda small, but the decor and ambience were top notch. The place had amazing lights and paintings all over, and was very colorful. We had some chicken wings and shrimps for starters, along with some watermelon juice. The quantity was insane, and we were really full without main course ! The taste was exuberant and was well cooked. Service was prompt, and presentation was really good. We decided to have some noodles for main course, and it was super filling even though shared. In the end, we had absolutely no space for dessert, and decided to wrap things up. I felt that the menu was a little pricey, but otherwise, the food was insanely good, and I would definitely stop by again for some great lunch.

Complimentary snacks was good and thai platter over here didnt match with my expectations..and starter-corn fritters were tasty..overall its too expensive and not worthy but I like the way they serve us...

The ambience and service is top notch but the price is on the higher side. The food is good. I had the Tofu with Udon noodles. My dad veg fried rice with Red chicken curry. The dessert I chose had a fancy name Home made American style chunky caramel sponge cake and was average.

My brother made big fuzz about the place since he turned vegetarian recently and said the place serves very good Thai food. Tried their KNK Road branch. Food was great loved their interior, all funky and very colourful. I loved their Wasabi Mary a mocktail inspired by Blood Mary.

This restaurant proved to be amazing. With ambience similar to that of Michellin 5 star restaurant, it didnt fail to be mesmerizing. From the wall arts to the cutlery, every inch was really nice. Coming to the food, one word to describe - delicious. Almost every item is heart soothing and surprisingly light on stomach.Now coming to the reason why I gave it 4 stars. The price relative to the quantity was quite expensive. I mean it. But then again the food was so good, I was willing to pay the price for it.

Best place for Oriental Cuisine. The quantity of any item is sufficient for at least two adults. And the dishes are authentic (No Indianized version)

Good place for Thai and Asian food... Soups are really impressive and so is Sangria... Desserts are also good... But the main course isnt the best.. its not that bad but Ive had better... Also when it comes to pricing its kind of on the expensive side (with three people having a light meal at 4000 bucks).. Though the ambiance is really good... :)

Mamagoto is a fantastic restaurant.. Food was superb. We just had main course... however I cam tell you that the food was prepared with the best taste... and staff were very polite. They dont serve alcohol so we had gone to another outlet for having some starters along with drinks. When we came back order was almost ready.Interior was nice.. Welcomed with some rice crackers... outside waiting area is also nice.. Will visit again for sure.

The restaurant is located in the uptown street of nungambakam. With sufficient parking slots the start to the dinner is hassel free. The restaurant walls have the Japanese characters suiting the primary theme of the restaurant. The menu is vast and the taste of most dishes were good. My pick of the dishes were dumplings. They have exoitic Japanese desserts. Overall the experience was good.

Love the decor and ambience.Polite, friendly staff, service is good and quick. Staff know whats on offer in the menu and give helpful suggestions on what dishes to order.The non veg maki platter was good. Well made and presented. The teriyaki chicken rice was sufficient for the three of us, you would require to order more if you are ravenous.For dessert we ordered the caramel cake with a helping of vanilla ice cream and the squishy dark chocolate mud pie.Good place to meet friends and catch up, you wont be rushed.

An Asian restaurant in Chennai. They serve the best noodles. Their pad Thai noodles is a special mention . We had chicken wings and a prawn susi (edi tempora) which was descent . Whenever I am in the mood for broth, I go to mamagato. The noodle soup here is hearty and the quantity is plenty. The price is a bit on the higher side but they make it up with the quantity... 2 people can share a single main course easily. The appetizers are really good and not at all regular fare you get in multi cuisine restaurants. We had the coconut jaggery ice cream and we will surely come back for moreIf the price is a bit low, we would prefer it more often than special occasion.

Visited the place for my friends bday. Nice ambience. The food was good. We loved the sauces there, especially the dried chilli in vinegar. We had Momos and ramen. They were really good. The price is on the higher side. Would recommend for a visit at least once to experience real good Japanese cuisine in Chennai.

Beautiful walls and beautiful balcony garden...this place is worth visiting for a naturistic look and good food. The best part about mamagoto was the first page of their menu card. See the pic. I was moved by the way they tried to connect with their customers by checking with us on our tastes and continuous feedbacks. We ordered momos and Thai green curry and sticky rice...all were amazing.

Great quality food. Quantity was disappointing though. We ordered Udan Noodles and Laksa Noodles on Swiggy for home delivery. The portion was described as sharing portion. In realty, the portion was not enough for a single person. If the description about portion size was accurate, it woudl have helped us plan our meal better.

Lovely food. The Chiang Mai Train station noodles (soupy) is a party if flavours that blow ur mind. The squidgy chocolate mud pie is perfect for a chocoholic like me. Service is a little laidback so absolutely perfect for a nice long chatty catch-up session with your gang.

From the well flavoured Tom Yom soup to the delicate rainbow chicken dumplings and Mamas shrimp dumplings, this place definitely hits your sweet spot. They say a restaurant is defined by the way it handles its fish. Well they put up an extravagant display with their Java Grilled fish in red hot sambal sauce. At the same time the main courses was indeed blissful. They go great heights to tend your needs with great service and decent ambience. If u are looking for some authentic pan asian, then Mamas place it is.

Having had some mediocre experience with the ambience and food at Asian restaurants, I was bit relunctant. But my niece was persistent and we ended up at Mamagoto for lunch.First, the ambience and staff. Wow that was elegant. Nice and easy on the eye wall decors. Very friendly staffs.Second, the food. That was yum 😋 We ordered a refreshment drink, an appetizer, a taco, a rice bowl and a dessert for three of us. And it was filling and tasted amazing. The kiwi drink was something I have never had with the natural bliss of kiwis sourness and sweetness. Honey chicken was simply amazing. Rice bowl tasted good though salt was on the lower side. Not a biggie. Taco was good and the dessert was simply amazing.Third, the price. Well it was a bit expensive for an item as such but one serving of bowl was enough was three of us with an appetizer. In all, it was worth the tag.

Service is excellent, food tastes very average, sweetness can be felt even in the spicy dish, may be thats how the Thai foods tastes like!!!! If you are a foodie who loves spicy, juicy meat, and who hates soy or sweetness in the gravy or in the rice please avoid or do some research on the menu before you place an order. Seafoods are good. Very little options for a vegetarian.

When I went the name of restaurant is changed papagoto. Its a good place to have Chinese Japanese food here, where theyll provide many Japanese dishes here and taste is also good and better than most of the restaurants only reason I have 3 stars is for their restroom. I am not saying their restrooms are untidy but thats a really small restroom. I would recommend them increase the restroom size . The restroom doesnt come on par with the restaurant ambience. Overall its good place to have a Chinese or Japanese food. Moreover its located in the main place

Authentic Japanese, Thai and Chinese food. Ambience is upbeat and quite colourful. It cheers up your mood. Food is very close to as they should really taste like. Service is excellent. I tried momos and thai rice. The Thai rice is as if tasting in Thailand. It also had south east asian music which was refreshing. There is stilt parking available that was a relief in such a busy area
