Took my pet here for an emergencysince he had seizures. Doctor Vijay was very patient in listening to the details. He took his time and was very careful in diagnosis. He asked for the entire history of my pet. Since we were so worried we had called the clinic multiple times even after going home. We had a lot of questions. Dr Vijay was very kind and patient and answered all our questions. He was following up consistently and guiding us. Very happy with the clinic. The waiting part can be improved but that’s okay considering the best doctors.

This review is based on my first visit with my pug girl Jessie...The receptionist was kind and very responsive... The way he answered to my queries are much satisfactory.When the time I visit Dr. Aravind is not available and we had a chance to meet Dr. Vaishnavi. She is very empathetic and professional. Jessie was frightened at first since she is in a new place but dr vaishnavi was very friendly and made her comfortable to co-operate with the procedures.The paramedical staffs are very kind and even they are very comfortable with tamil english and hindhi too..The best part is Dr. Vaishnavi called me after business hours and ask about our pet and shared the details and observations of the blood test result... Sample of Commitment and professionalism...My first visit to ARK clinic is quite impressive and strongly suggest for a better experience... Thank you team..!

Extremely unprofessional behavior:1. Called the receptionist prior the visit who asked us to report at 7pm. We reached at 06:45pm but nobody attended us.2. Doctor saw that we have been waiting for almost an hour but did not act.3. Receptionist did not care and only tried to stop us as we started leaving.4. It seemed like people who knew the doctor/staff were given preference.I DO NOT recommend this clinic.The main requirement for a doctor is the care towards their patient, and here the doctor didn’t care about the queue rather preference was given to known people.As my pet had become restless and thirsty after waiting for almost an hour we had to leave the place without meeting the doctor.

Surgery done for my cat (age: 1 month | July 2018) and they did it professionally and very well.My cat couldnt even walk using his both rear legs. After the surgery, after 1 month rest (in cage) following vets prescriptions, he recovered completely and started to walk, run using all 4 legs.Now he is 3 years old! and thanks to this vet hospital.Btw, I neutered my cat (same cat) here when he was 2-3 months older and they performed the surgery very well during this time also.

I just got my new pup and my friend recommended The Ark clinic, absolutely loved the way the staffs were taking care of the pets. Special mention of Dr Anushka too approachable and very friendly. They dont unnecessary suggest extra ordinary food or grooming.

The doctors at Ark are undoubtedly very busy and much in demand. This is entirely because of experience and reputation, they dont even have time to promote themselves here. Pets and pet lovers need to be dealt with sensitively, with warmth and care and the doctors are very aware of this and go the extra mile to make sure that pet parents feel heard and never hurried when they want to discuss the concerns of their pets. For most of the pet parents their pets are exactly like children and they would like to go to a doctor who understands that. Apart from their professional expertise, Ark doctors have a pleasant decent personality, kind nature, communicate clearly in good english or Tamil/Hindi and have a clean premises which makes them much in demand among all people, especially those who can afford high quality healthcare for the pet. Both myself and my wife very much enjoy our visits due to the doctors good sense of humour and caring nature, beyond his close attention to our dogs. I am not a person who leaves reviews but unfair and unethical comments by people like Wes Cris makes me really sad. Veterinary surgeons are available at all cost levels so it is wrong to expect this type of top notch professionals to do their hard work as social service or charge less money, just because you cant afford it. Please go somewhere else rather than try to defame hardworking and good human beings. I also sometimes have gone to other clinics in a time or financial crunch and I have given full disclosure to the doctor at Ark. But he has always been welcoming and caring when we go back. And I always go back because I know that they are the benchmark when it comes to the quality of diagnosis, treatment and the 100% involvement of the doctors.

Amazing place , saved the life of our puppy .Conscious and professional staff

My puppy had tick fever and had been treated at a different hospital on March 29,30,31 from where he started walking a bit after his initial collapse on March 29th. On April 1st after taking him to this hospital which was upon the insistence of a person who knew the people in this hospital, it was the deepest regret of my life.1. Doctor sees the dog and was looked very uninterested after knowing his previous treatment history. For questions on efficacy of his past treatment response from the doctor is frown and NO COMMENTS. Even for scientific explanation it is a snap with I already told u. I cant comment on this. I clearly explained Im ready to spend any amount for the treatment and that my puppys condition was very bad.2. Doctor give kitten food to puppy and declares him alright to be treated at home with oral doxy. Even after requesting treatment from hospital as t iam no expert in treating puppy at home she declines to treat my puppy3. After reaching home i give a call to this hospital saying puppy is not having food which he used to have. Doctor advises kitten food.4. Evening blood test result come with platelet count 25000 which is 10 times below normal amount doctor say its all fine. Just continue home treatment and the funny part is they didnt do any diagnosis yet as they say they doubt puppy has something else which they could have diagnosed along with blood test and declares treatment can begin after one week for the puppy.5. Even though i was ready to give blood transfusion for my puppy doctor declared my puppy completely fine6. My puppy collapsed and had seizures and died in another few hours7. Now the person who brought me to this hospital was calling and scolding me for the puppys condition when i should be asking why did this clinic waited till my puppy became this situation. Isnt this negligence from your end and making me hear about your clinics greatness from the person who recommended this clinic when my puppy is serious. My life has completely gone down due to this clinics negligence with the death of my puppy and the way the person shouted at me when my puppy died saying how great your hospital is. I had explained the seriousness of my puppys condition and also said ready to spend any amount. You waste two days of my puppys time and made his condition deteriorate. Im still in mourning phase else i would not have mind to press the chargesAlso this clinic is in a very interior location which made me difficult to take my puppy when he suffered an emergency. With hand shaking while seeing my puppy dying without getting treatment for 2 days unable to drive and mobile charge of 12% i had to take him to previous hospital which treated him back to at least a walking state where he started playing seeing cockroaches as it was extremely important to take him immediately as he showed all signs of dying. After all this hospital never gave any treatment and only wasted two days in the name of treatment. Then comes the call of the person who recommended this clinic saying since i didnt please the doctor here now dont take my puppy to this clinic. This clinic will not treat my puppy even if he is in the stage of dying. Really? I need to beg a clinic to treat a dying puppy who made him in this situation without any treatment when my puppy was recovering! God only knows what kind of people are on earth . This is my first experience where the doctor is the bureaucrat and the patient even on death bed has no respect at least from the person who recommended this clinic which made the negligence. If i continue my review will not display. Dont call me and talk since this wont be my language.

My puppy who was having tick fever and had collapsed had been treated at Sanchu and he was able to walk and have food. Upon insistence of an animal welfare person came here on April 1. They didnt even do any basic treatment. And was that much arrogant doctor whatever I say she gets irritated. And whatever I ask her she has to say no comments even any explanation for vaccination failure it is no comments. And for indian dogs she doesnt care what happens as she said if it is indian dogs u can feed anything. As if they are not worth to be fed properly. I would like to say first have some compassion for the animal. With no compassion and this much arrogance I hardly like to have come here. On second day of no treatment and just oral doxy as insisted by the doctor my puppy collapsed and had seizures. He died the next day. This is negligence and highly inefficiency of the hospital staff as even I was ready to pay anything they are stupid enough to let the puppy go without treatment. Oh or is it that doctor didnt like the puppy was initially treated at Sanchu. Funny how little they care about animals and opened a clinic for them. I would like to say my curse will never leave u

My friend visited this place with his ill puppy. I was impressed by the professional treatment. Good care for your loved one. They treat our pets with great humility. I witnessed something which i wish no pet owner should go through. The news about his pet suffering from tumor in its last stage. It shattered the owners heart. I called to ask if I need to bring my cat in dude to a birth complication, only to be spoken rudely to and said we don’t know what the situation is after I’ve explained the “situation”.The lack of professionalism was displayed at its best.If you want a rude assistant and a rude doctor, I would refer this place ...Or else please go to THE ARK at Ambattur Industrial Estate.They are better human beings who actually care for your pet.

A doctor who explained things to us in clear detail, and took the time to do so in an unhurried manner.Compared to some other clinics that look like pet stores with clinics attached, this one is definitely outfitted to take care of animals, and the doctors are serious about their work. They also seem to expect that the pet owners take appropriate responsibility for their past negligence (if applicable) and insist that they have a role to play in the recovery of the animals.A little expensive, but for good care and their undivided attention, its worth it. We will be coming back.

Typically, without being too harsh, Indian dog owners are ignorant. Its not uncommon to see unhealthy or mistreated privately owned dogs in India, and I suspect that some owners, who are negligent themselves in their duty of care towards their canine companions, are trying to pass the buck here.I havent come across better vets in India, nor a better equipped facility. Theres and x-ray machine, and even a sonogram machine, which makes diagnosis more accurate and reliable. Most of all, in my opinion, both Dr A, and Dr B, genuinely care for the animals they treat. They both speak English to a high level, and are able to effectively communicate whats wrong and what needs to be done.I think the poor rating here reflects the poor standard of life most dog owners provide their pets. Dogs need plenty of excercise, especially medium to large dogs. This means wide open spaces, of which there are few or none, in Chennai at least. Dogs cant eat processed human foods, its poison to them, so dont be surprised when the animal dies miserably despite the best efforts of the vet. Own a big to medium sized dog and get your peon to walk it a couple of times a day? Shame on you. If you buy a dog for yourself or a child, save yourself the heartache by caring for it properly. Perhaps all the poor reviewers should consider why the dog needed a vet in the first place. Own a dog bred for Arctic temperatures in a tropical city? You are the idiot, not the vet.

If you love your pets, Dr.Aravind and Dr. Afzal are the people to go to. They are expensive but won’t make you spend unnecessarily. They treat pets with lot of love.

We brought our pet here after treatment with many doctors. Dr Aravind initially gave us little hope but to our relief The dog responded very well to his treatment and recovered miraculously.Undoubtfully The hospital is the best in the city and the Doctor is also the best. the facilities offered are also adequate. The staff are also responsible and know how to handle the animals.Dr Aravind you remind me of the great Dr James Herriot!

Dr Arvind is an excellent diagnostician and Ive been taking my pets to him since some years now.Would have liked to have a different system for visits - based on appointments so waiting is not long. Would have loved to have a better support system for him in place wrt receptionist, billing etc so he could do unhindered what he is very good at.He loves animals, is very patient, gives a good chunk of time to each animal, has empathy towards the animal owners, does not discriminate against animals wrt breed/size and is equally attentive and caring towards all. My experience is with 4 different dogs of mine.

The Ark is one of the best places to get your furry friend checked up and treated. Dr. Aravind has accurately diagnosed all illnesses so far for our two dogs at the right time and has periodically offered good advice on ensuring good health in the long term. He has also treated many rescue dogs bought in by the team from Chennai Adoption and INCARE.Meanwhile, the clinic infrastructure is standard. They have three doctors, an intern and attending staff working at different shifts through the week. The treatment fees are a bit steep when compared to other clinics in the city, but the quality of treatment more than makes up for it. Saturdays are the busiest, with waiting periods of up to an hour or more. They do have a couple of parking spots within the clinic, but during rush hours you may end up parking on the road.Unlike some of the experiences on this listing so far, we have had the best treatment experience for our dogs. We have also recommended them to our friends and relatives. Some of them have even had their dogs ailments misdiagnosed until they came over to the Ark.

Absolutely callous attitude. Negligence at its peak. They did not tell us the reports in spite of repeated calls. Dr.Arvind never responds to calls or messages. He is never available when you have an emergency. They claim to be open 24 hours while no doctor reaches the clinic before 10.30 am. Dr.Gayatri has nothing called compassion for pets. She walks in and out of the clinic like what may be happens at IT call centres. We did not get a diagnosis and neither the right treatment. Please stay away from this place.

My dogs fav vet. Hes always happy when hes visiting the ark. Super clean place in a quaint neighbourhood. Cordial staff. Dr. Aravind by far the best vet Ive bumped into till date.Id suggest calling ahead of time and going in. If its an emergency go right ahead. They get caught up with surgeries and multiple pets to take care of.I do request the helper staff to avoid touching my dogs and playing with them. It happened to three of my dogs for their visit so far. Everytime I got here I forget to mention it to the helpers. They are used to forcing a dog down on the table during a procedure and as a Behaviorist I see the dogs stressing out more with this Ludacris behavior. Still decent staff. Appreciate what they do. Ive never seen em slacking ever. Dr. Vijay is almost always present for emergencies. Ive Never seen the man sleep.

We were thoroughly impressed with the care our Great Dane puppies received from this clinic. Dr Arvind Kumar seemed genuinely passionate about the well-being of the dogs, and spent 45 mins taking his time to guide us through the issues we were having, even though the waiting room was full. The other staff were friendly and helpful.
