Management did great to with the organisation of vaccination process to have three different time slots for three different vaccine , refreshments where available wheelchair assistance were available to it was a smooth process and floor, building n everything were clean and maintained well ! less crowd too!

Good arrangement done for Covid vaccination.Had booked the slot through Covin, went at specified time, there was no rush. Token was issued soon and within 20 mins called for payment.Once it was done, vaccination was done immediately.Car parking space was adequate, though I doubt once hospital opens up fully, they may face difficulty here since I suppose part of the basement area is being used for the vaccination drive.One improvement - They should have made a better arrangement for curtains at vaccination kiosk, currently one has to pull it apart while going in and coming out, not an idea situation during covid time. May be a fixed partition which has an angled opening would have been better.

Very polite Doctors and staff, special thanks to Mr.Vimal who guided us well. Hospital is charging only based on govt norms that’s very rare to find these days. Very neat and hygienic Rooms, No second thoughts I totally recommend Fortis Vadapalani 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

Not so great in-patient experience. Found lagging in several areas. Need immediate management attention- Room 7705 is located in a corner and the whole room stinks of sewage. We had to complain & then they shifted to another room. The staff seem to know about the issue and still we were given that room.- Outside food is not allowed which is fine...but when you call at 7:30am for bread toast they say bread is out of stock? Really in such a big hospital- As part of dietician plan tender coconut was to be provided....not until we follow up and escalate to get such simple things.- Trainee nurses who are not well trained or counseled create more pain to patience. Ex: Removing clot in IV line...an experienced nurse did it without pain while there was another who did the opposite.- During discharge they conveniently forgot to add a blood report and doctors advise on the same. To my surprise the nurses did not even know about it until I had to explain and they made us wait for additional 1 hour to get partial report and stating the other test needs to be done outside the hospital and will take time ( They promised to call me back about the report and yet to receive it..) If the hospital is not equipped they they could have very well asked to do the test outside.Overall a very poor patience management.

Highly recommend this place for vaccination. Excellent arrangements were made and hardly waited for my inoculation. The whole process was over in half an hour or so. Time delay in vaccination. I booked for 2.30 pm slot today but got vaccinated only by 3.45 pm .There is a booking open for 1.30 pm slot but Covaxin starts only after 2.30. Hence there is a 1 hr delay piling up . The hosp mgmt should cancel the covaxin booking on Arogyasetu or cowin portal for the 1.30 pm slot

Got admitted here for covid treatment using my health insurance. The doc n the nurse r very good. But the billing n account team r very bad. They didnt send the bill or even forward the explanation for the same.. they disconnect our calls when we can them. For the premium amount that we paid we feel that this hospital is useless

Support staff are very polite & helpful.Proper screening is done. spacious a/c waiting hall with social distancing, sanitizer & automatic door facilities. My first, and perhaps the last, experience with Fortis Vadapalani left a lot to be desired, when I had taken ninety-year-old mother for a consultation.For starters, Fortis Hospital Vadapalani claims that they are “Proud to be a senior-friendly hospital” with certain special privileges thrown in for the senior citizens like free registration, fixed OPD slots with the doctors, discounted preventive health checks, no billing queue and personalised discharge.But when I had taken my nonagenarian mother for the first time, none of these were either told to me nor was I informed by the curt billing desk personnel that I could make use of such privileges meant exclusively for old people. And, I was charged the full registration fee with no discounts or offers provided, as they claimed they do.When I asked for a copy of the ‘senior-friendly hospital’ leaflet that was lying in the billing counter, the cashier refused to give it to me and said they will give it only if I produce my mother’s ‘Aadhaar Card’ to confirm that she is indeed ninety-years-old !! Are they all blind ? Seriously, how much more ridiculous can they get ?The Urologist whom we had met, Dr. Shanmugasundaram Rajaian heard the patent’s complaints and wrote out a battery of investigative tests and an Ultrasound scan to be done, besides prescribing medicines for 5-days.It must be mentioned here that Dr. Shanmugasundaram Rajaian’s handling of the aged patient was unfortunately rather terse and snappy and definitely not caring or comforting.When the test and scan results came, Dr. Shanmugasundaram Rajaian was only too quick to jump to his conclusion. He had assumed the worst and hence advised treatment that would be given to a patient having no other possible recourse.But when we took a second opinion form a veteran Urologist, we came to know that Dr. Shanmugasundaram Rajaian was totally and completely incorrect with his assumptions and wrong with his diagnosis. Besides coming to an erroneous conclusion, Dr. Shanmugasundaram Rajaian also said that the patient’s condition is serious” and the treatment that he had advised “must not be delayed” and must be carried out forthwith.Again, Dr. Shanmugasundaram Rajaian proved beyond any doubt his utter incompetence and clear lack of medical knowledge and experience in his handling of my mother’s case.The seasoned urologist we went to for the second opinion, reversed my mother’s condition to normalcy by prescribing just one single tablet a day. That is all it took to make my mother absolutely normal.When there was such a simple and extremely effective dream remedy available for the problem, I wonder why Dr. Shanmugasundaram Rajaian went straight to the worst case scenario and told us that we must undergo the extreme course of treatment that he wanted us to do, without any further delay.I think it is only be because Dr. Shanmugasundaram Rajaian is deficient in his diagnosis and inefficient in his judgement.Or is it because, Fortis Hospital Vadapalanis objective is to extract the maximum possible money from each and every patient who walks through their doors ?

Couple of days before, I had to visit Fortis Vadapalani, Chennai to sort some confusion in my mothers covid vaccination report. I got full support from them and they sorted the issue for me in an hour. I want to thank Ms. Shanmugapriya and her team in helping me out on this. They heard my problem with patience and dealt with politeness.

No Fans provided for those who come for Covid Vaccination. Very difficult to sit there during this hot climate. For staff they are using Air coolers. Also theyre doing Vaccination at the allotted time slot only. So just go there before 30 minutes. This can be mentioned at the time of booking. So that people will come only on time.

I had my first and second dose of Covishield at Fortis Malar, Vadapalani. Right from Registration to administering doses to patients....everything went on very smoothly without any time delay. Ive been to Fortis Vadapalani 5 times so far - Moms 2 doses Sputnik Vaccine, my own two doses of Sputnik vaccine and a CT Scan to rule out malignancy in my lung with a Pulmonologist follow up. The hospital is very clean, the staff are professional, my doctor took personal interest in my case and the vaccination process was well arranged and in logical order. But what stands out for me is my CT Scan experience - Id like to give a special shoutout to Dr BalaMurugan (Radiologist), Mr.Bhaskar (Radiology), Ms Gitanjali (Coordinating staff), Dr Sindhura (Pulmonologist) and Sister Kavitha. All of them demonstrated highest professional standards whilst also extending a personal friendship and care. I was highly anxious through the scan but Mr.Bhaskar extended utmost personal care and reassurance throughout the procedure. Dr Balamurugan, the radiologist gave a lot of time and attnetion to understand my case history and complications - very professionally without exhibiting any high handedness (which is unfortunately very common across hospitals in Chennai). I thank Dr Balamurugran immensely and with utmost gratitude. Dr Sindhura (pulmonologist) is a class act. She gave me a lot of time - patiently went through my medical history diligently and explained her treatment plan with utmost sincerity. She is very kind, articulate and knowledgeable. Ms Gitanjali (and alsmost every staff member of the hospital) are surprisingly friendly and always ready to extended support - I noticed this through all my visits to Fortis. Sister Kavitha doesnt forget a face - she noticed me through my every visit and asked if I did well with my previous vaccine jabs - I highly appreciate such small yet significant gestures from the staff of Fortis.I am also embarrassed to admit that I extended a tip to one of the hospital staff by force of habit - because it is a norm across hospitals in Chennai. But to my very pleasant surprise, the staff refused it citing professional ethics. I hope and pray Fortis continues to maintain the same level of professionalism, standard and service in the coming years.

I had a great experience in taking vaccination in Fortis hospital today. Took my parent and father in law both 70+ years of age and one of them physically challenged. We reached late and the counter forms and billing section were closed. However looking at the senior citizens coming all the way, they were very considerable and immediately agreed upon request to reopen the counters. They expedited the billing and registration, took careful measures to take BP, pulse checks and upon doctors confirmation that everything looks normal then my parent got vaccinated. For my physically challenged father in law they arranged for Nurse and doctor to come to car park and gave him the vaccination right there. Their service and care is incredible!! Had a wonderful service at Fortis. My daughter-in-law and grandson was about to board in early morning flight yesterday. The QR code has been missing in the report so they couldnt able to board in flight. Special thanks to the receptionist who helped us on time. Dr, Thomas George is wonderful doctor I ever met in my life he is the reason I felt the hospital was complete to me I got a thyroid ,arthritis and many issues I used to go there across many hospital almost 11km from my home though and also when you just call him in person to concern and appointment hes always happy to share regardless of fortis hospital and his best humanity I spend alot too but it worth thank you doctor keep doing great 👍

Had vaccine here. WorSt experience. The nurse who jabbed injection dint even check BP before vaccinating. I asked her, should i check my BP. She asked if i have BP? I said no. Usually before vaccinating most of the hospitals would check right? She said if you want you can check in that counter, that too after i asked. Isnt their responsibility to tell ppl before?

Good experience in terms of treatment , dedication and selection of medicines are limited specific to the issue.No un-necessary medications ,timely doctor ,explains the patient well about the problem and nature of the disease and time required to recover. Very Friendly approach and is a perfectionist.

No proper service. No proper staff. not even proper contact number in Google and their own bills.i have just taken a covid 19 test and to get the results. iam struggling to get connected to know the status.

Poor maintanence of toilet!!! For covid vaccination 1000s of people are coming but the toilet here is very poor!!! We cant even stand outside for vaccination!!!

Really excellent hospital with good atmosphere All staff are nice with pleasing personality I had mentally satisfied while entering hospital I have taken covaccin at your hospital and they did wellTrust all other medical services will be fine

1. They have refused to discharge a patient because discharging patients on Sundays is not in their protocol and hence they would charge for one extra days stay2. When the patient said they will leave because they cant afford this, they are actually bargaining saying we wont charge you extra for room rent but just stay and get this iv done. Dont understand the twisted logic

Noone will pick up the landline and mobile number shown here. We can not relay on any emergency call to Hospital. Landline always busy and no response on mobile number.
