Beautiful architecture... Hope it will open and totaly restavratied after the war in Nagorno Karabakh will end and this region will return to Azerbaijan... Hope to visit it...Spesial for Masis Masisyan. This is not a politic field to disscus such topics... also as I understand you are formal Baki ermenisi. You must know that after 20 of January still, there are more than 30000 armenians ONLY in Baku. I personaly know 7 of them. This church was visited in 2010 by armenian patriarch Garagen and he said that church is in really good conditions. Coming to chapele in Nagorni park, i see that u dont know or specially falsificate the history. Because in 1905 there was pogroms of azeri people in Shusha,Shamakhi,Nakhchivan,Dereleyaz,Baku and in Masis region of Irevan gubernya. And victims of this pogrom was buried in nagorniy park. After 13 years in 1918 azeri people will face act of genocide by bolshevicks and dashnock armenians in wich more than 700000 people will die in Baku, Quba, Nakchivan, Shemakha and this people also was buried there. So please dont falsificate history... as always...About the park itself, i remember there was just a statue to Kirov and nothing else... no arm. chapele there...

I think it would be humanly if we touch upon the feelings of civilians of any nationality. This is primarily history. There are a lot of Christians in the world besides Armenia. It is not a tool for divisive relations on religious grounds.

Enlightenment Gregory Church or Baku Armenian ChurchIt is located at 27 N.Rafibeyli Street. The date of construction is 1887. It is in the style of Armenian architecture. It is currently used as the building of the Presidential Library. It is protected by the state as a historical monument of local importance. (National registration reference number 3272)Until 1990, the Armenian Gregorian Church, and in 2002, the architect of the temple, which was the building of the Presidential Library, was the brother of the famous artist Otto Gustavovich, the architect of the Baku province and the city Karl Gippius. In 1903, a church school and a library were built in the yard of the Armenian church. The church ceased operations in 1990. The church was transferred to the Presidential Administration in 2002, and a decision was made to establish a library of the Administrations Office on its basis. 5,000 books and manuscripts are preserved in the church library. In 2010, Garegin II and Cyril I visited the church and prayed.

I left Baku in 1978 when I was 27 years old. I remember this city as the pearl of the Caucasus with its multi-national and rich culture. To my deep regret, the power fighters were able to break and crush the spirit and color of this beautiful city in a short time. And the color of any city in the world is determined by its mongo-ethnic culture, which is created and molded for centuries.Although I am not a believer, I well remember this church, because lived a stones throw from her on Mamedaliev St. It is good to know that in the heat of blind hatred of the Armenians, not everything was swept away and destroyed. I would like to think that this little symbol of the exiled people can serve as a catalyst for future reconciliation.
