I attended a wedding reception in the Parmgrove institute in Island grounds. An amazing atmosphere. This kind of open to sky location is good particularly in this pandemic situation.This is well inside from the busy Anna Salai and we dont feel the hurry burry of the outside world. Ample car parking.There is a big AC hall for dining also available. The rest rooms are neat and clean.The food both Veg and Non veg are good.

This is a Fair located at Besant Nagar beach you can really enjoy this place especially children would love this place as there are many mini games, merry go round, shooting of balloon and throw the ring games.There are toys store and food stalls and park, especially beach that could help children have a good time. There is a huge rush during weekends even during covid times.

Nice place to visit and enjoy with family.The massive 29-acre land parcel remains idle for the entire year, except during the 70-day annual India Tourist and Industrial Fair held between December to February every year. During Deepavali season, cracker shops are set up. Attempts had been made in the past to convert the Island Grounds into a happening place by organising food fair and banana festival a decade ago. It, however, did not continue after change in regime.

Very much crowded. One thing which was surprising is the parking. It was managed good. There was ample parking space available. Lots of informative stalls were available. Overall a good time spent.

The government project stalls visibility is less need attention awareness to all segment of people. Given more for business promotions. Too costly from parking to amusement park events.

Was spent a good time after a long period of time.lot of new rides introduced . Same island ground but with new look. Lot of fun and enjoyment. Laser lights show, snow ride, dark room, Dubai building, 3d&5d show, lot of shops than before. New new kinds of shops are there, lot of toys shops, dress shops, more verities of foods shops, very apt place for spend time with family, but rides are little costly which can be considered to reduce, middle class and low class families cant afford that much costly rides, kindly reduce the costs.

This place has shops set up especially during the holidays, (pongal, independence day, republic day) great place to hang out with family and buy cheap things. Costs 30Rs for adults and 10rs for children. It has parking spaces available.

All departments of Tamil Nadu exhibits their progress and latest developments open to public. Fire department, Police department, corporation put their equipment on display. Appalam is must eat. Kids can enjoy with toy train and rides.

Yearly once my all family members contacting hear only. Very good entertainment area. Lots of parking spacious. Kids enjoy this gameplay area, monster room, devils room, mirror reactions, ball throwing, balloon shutting, etc. Food vice there is one Tamil Nadu hotel in island ground. Good food and hygienic. Main thing is we know about our government services in that ground. Very use full for me and my family. Thank Q.

Many Goverment fairs and other events are conducted here .It is owned by TTDC. Food festivals and other educatoinal and awareness fairs are conducted here. There would lot of food stalls. Some fairs have free entry and for other entry fee will be charged.

The place for exhibition is too good with full car parking slots. But the ride costs were little high, food quality must be improved, and the materials sold were some what costly than the outer....

Its a very big ground suitable for arranging Government programs. 3 days food expo namely Madharasa pattanam Virunthu , from 13.09.19 to 15.09.19 has been inograted by the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu and is going on very nice. Most of the home made preparations like snacks, traditional food products by self help group stalls are available. Aavin has one stall with all milk products. Trinelvely Halwa, palm sugar cookies and coffee also available. Really very useful food expo ever seen.

I had visited this Chennai Trade Fair 2019 almost after 10 years, many things have changed. I was taken back to my childhood. The rides have improved so much, and they still had that memorable giant bombay apalam and molaga Bajji stall. Enthian 2.0, burj khalifa, into the space walk, laser shows were the key highlight stalls.

Visitng Island ground is one of the necessary thing in my lifestyle, whether its good or bad, past 38 years. Now a days its fully wrapped with vinyl printing , very less number artifact stuffs only they use. Need more attention in rides, some of the children rides or really pathetic. The Trade Fare is Chennayin Thiruvizha its Carnival of Chennai.. Concern persons need conectarte on the improvement..

Best time pass for weekend with lovable sweet buddies

The trade fair is a nice economic place to enjoy with family and friends. The State government organizes it every year between December to March. The entrance ticket is at a reasonable price. When compared to visiting shopping malls and theatres, I would say this place is far better place.

Huge government space could have utilised well. Poor maintenance of the trade fair and costs 35Rs for adults. Many shops are not opened and many arent that good too. Only best thing is the departmental stalls.(they havent altered too much same as last year) this year new entry is bhurj khalifa (Dubai).My suggestion is could have properly managed.Utilisation of area is poor. (Centre of the city)

I think the Exhibition was conducted by Ministry of Tourism.Really awesome.The Dog show by police department was marvellous.I think you should not miss this show.And I found many shops and Magic show ext....And finally the expected one,the rides ....yeah...they had giant wheel ext....

Every year this fair is put up on the island grounds there are various shops, food stalls and shows to entertain people from all age groups. People from different cities come in o visit the fair. There are various government exhibitions as well regarding the various departments like tourism, police, textile, railways, industry etc.

Went to buy fireworks during diwali time. There were about 40 stores opened this time due to restrictions. Lot of space for parking. Was able to purchase quality fireworks for reasonable price. More options available at a single location, I recommend this place for purchasing fireworks during diwali time.

Very famous during the period between January and March .....they is a lot of rides for all age groups...and a lot of food counters (big appalam being the famous one ).. this is a seasonal event ....they have go kart which is between 4-7.30 pm...and they have a lot of shows and entertainment shows which kids would enjoy a lot ....they have gaint wheel and other existing rides which cost between 50-80Rs.. might be a bit rush during weekend and hoildays.. they have parking facility too

This place is located on the bank of coovam river , so one can easily expect bad smell . The stalls were okay okay kind of experience. Lot of food stalls were there , you cannot expect hygienic food there , just enjoy the local food if you are risk taker . Amusement park is the major attraction, you can take many rides for lesser cost. Parking is also good to some extent. Entrance fee is ₹35. So it’s a cheap and best entertainment place some cons .

Went for this years exhibition...kids have some cheap rides...Very mismanaged place...Can take kids here... Nothing much...As it was years ago...No proper arrangement for ATM,Restrooms,etc...Police deployment, Ambulance,fire safety was done there but not sure it could manage the crowd...

Huge place. It was my first time and had so much fun visiting so many different shops and their foods.The energy amongst the place was a thrill. Restrooms could be better for women.

Both entry ticket and parking cost are increased 2 fold times which literally blocks so many people entry. People come to these stalls once a year with kids to enjoy the atmosphere and buy things which cannot afford in regular shops. With increased entry ticket without any improvement inside is waste of time and money spent. Nothing has improved these years but cost was minimum which invited the crowd but now even that has reduced. Poor shop keepers inside the ground just stay without any customers. Government think before you increase entry ticket to these places where common people entry is vital for business growth.

Exhibition is going on till March2020 end. Usually more crowded during weekends so if you are planned along with your family or kids better plan during weekdays. Car parking is limited here so you need to park on main road if parking is full. Parking charges for bike 60rupees. Car appox 100rupees (not sure) must try the rides they were awesome

Good location for exhibitions.Autos are there present outsite the island grounds.No problem for transportation.Bur dont go late night since the area is not good.Finish the exhibition at 7.30 and start to leave.If you have to go to bus stop just to the right side of the exhibition entrance buses are stopping.Major buses goes towards Parrys.So take that bus and go to Parrys bus stand and you will get buses very frequently there since it is a very big bus stand and the bus stand is situated at the wholesale market capital of Chennai where all the shopkeepers around the Tamilnadu will come for purchase of goods there only.But it is still best to avoid late night such as above 10 travelling there.

Island ground is now primarily used for government exhibition, trade exhibition and crackers sales during Diwali.Large enough to accommodate stalls and people. located nearby beach so it is airy and have wide roads.Toilet facilities are not available and drinking water also not available.I dont know for what reason it was made, now it is just for exhibition and sales fair.

Good place to visit with your family. Kids can have fun as well as learn. Please be caution while buying food items, ensure the food served is clean and worth for the price else avoid. I suggest to going in the evening, its open on weekends as well.
