This place has the essence of Bengali dishes. The hope of every homesick Bengalis and their friends. They add varied items every day in their menu as per the availability of fresh ingredients. They can customize the food as per your taste. First-timers, you can eat everything. Youll love this place for sure. They need to change their furniture and some modification is required. Pocket-friendly too.

The food here is good in taste. They dont serve the same menu every day 😃 which is quite good . Every day the menu changes .It is located inside a street so not easily visible from the road. Now talking about the food I love their veg and chicken thali and the fish. Must try Bengali cuisine here. The ambiance is good not that fancy.

Absolutely delicious !! The kasha gravies would look oily.. but every drop of it sings the flavour of that chicken or mutton or prawns. We ordered devil eggs, chicken biryani, mutton kasha, malai prawns & roti. Every recipe was unique ... n carried the taste of non veg very well. Mutton was juicy n tender .. chicken biryani & the gentle rose essence in it, with a boiled n roasted potato reminded me of the one I had from Arsalan in Kolkata. And theyve used the prawns whole.. no removing of head or the deveining .. May be thats whats giving the rich flavour to the gravy.Absolute Bengali cuisine ... Give it a try.. Definitely you wouldnt regret!

Good food. When you are bored with the Chennai food this is a nice place to dine out with your friends. Authentic Bengali food is served here. I have taken many of my non bengali friends and got good response from them. The place looks a bit shabby and doesnt have air conditioning system thus making difficult for some to dine in a place like Chennai where its summer almost all the year round. Good value for money. Bengali people should definitely give it a try.

Great FOOD but Extremely Inconsistent Restaurant. They DO NOT have a large variety of food on menu & only limited items for Delivery and most of the time there’s hardly anything available for delivery. And they run out of stock very fast like within 1-2 hours of Opening. They’re too incompetent in comparison to other restaurants when it comes to management & handling Food delivery. Some days they’re open, somedays NOT. they’ll open during the day time but closed in the evening. Very inconsistent business hours. Also a little bit pricey given its a low end restaurant. For dining they have air conditioning but understaffed. YouIl end up waiting for get somebody to attend you.Msg for the owners -It doesn’t matter if you make Good quality food BUT if you cannot cater to your customers theres NO use. Plz improve your delivery services in order to grow your business. Currently its Horrible.

You like bengali dishes for a reasonable rate, then there is no better place then this. The thali are reasonably priced. Though limited they are good for the meal. If you want extra then also it is not so costly. The food is as prepared with not much effort put to make them look great. There are few sweets as well. Menu is not fixed, though more or less it is similar, they will put the list in whiteboard and one needs to select from that.

It is a typical bengali pice hotel. All the items are priced individually. The portion size is good, however improvements can be brought about in case of taste. Often I felt they heat and serve food prepared earlier during the day, although I am not sure. Waiting time after ordering is minimal. There is no fixed meals/thalis available. You need to order every item individually (although sometimes, it seems, they together add up for a larger bill compared to that of a thali available elsewhere). As in the case of any bengali restaurant in Chennai, you will find crowds of Bengali people visiting the eatery. Sitting area is small, but ambience is great.

We went around 2PM. There were 5-6 Tables. It was full. We were asked to out for 10 minutes. We sat outside. Meanwhile Two guys came from inside and one guy started smoking in front of the restaurant. Never seen in Chennai where people smoke infront of a restaurant. After 10 mins, two people came outside. Then we were asked to come inside. We first ordered a plate of rice (₹30 each), chicken kashna(₹130) and devil egg(₹50). We waited. Felt thirsty. They didnt even kept the water. We had to ask them. Then comes the worst part. The glass was not washed properly. It had gravy smell. Asked if mineral water was available. It wasnt. So We had to drank the water directly from bottle. Order came. Chicken Kashna was good. But the quantity was very liitle. It was served in a plate. Devil egg was huge with lot of masala paste. Then we ordered rice, luchi(₹10), Katla Katla(₹90), Fish Egg Pakora. Had luchi with Katla katla. It was very salty. Rice with Katla katla was good. Again, the gravy was liitle. We were finished. Yet the Fish Egg Pakora wasnot arrived. When I reminded him, the reply and it was over. If it was over, he should have informed us. Fine. Bill amount was ₹357. We informed the staff about the glass. He acknowledged and said yes fish smell would come. Is that a responsible response?.
