One good restaurant to have kerala cuisines. The taste was awesome and mouthwatering.I especially liked the parotta and chicken curry. You could find varieties of beef, chicken and fish here.Price was also not too high it is average. You will find it difficult to find the way to the restaurant since it is in the first floor and the stairway is narrow and is hindered by the nearby shops.
My usual order from Kerala restaurants are their parotta, beef roast or egg roast.... Never ordered from this restaurant so decided to tryMenu is very simple... Had many options to choose... They also have good combos... Their pricing is comparitively lower than other Kerala restaurants.... Ordered Kerala parrota and egg roast... This review is only based on these 2 dishes....Food arrived on time and the packing was good. The food was still hot which is very rare especially when you order food at home...Kerala parrota was soft and tender... It went extremely well with egg roast... I had ordered a wheat parrota also... It was okay.. became little chewy and hard...Will recommend this place if you want to have a decent meal and not spend a lot
Kalpaka is one of if not the best restaurants in India. Food was better than normal, and already is always perfect. Thank you for the wonderful experience and effort you put in your food. Not many restaurants savor the overall experience anymore, this is one of the classics.
The food tastes awesome.. Quality is excellent. You can try this restaurant which is cheap and best with quality and quantity as well. I liked dragon chicken especially. Give a try... Its worth to go. The only thing I didnt like is sometimes they delay the food rest is all good.
Place is clean but customer walking is less in the restaurant and also food preparation is making delay by staffs and to serve by inviting customers walking.. Need to improve lots more @ restaurant place.
Just okay type food. But very high pricing. For just one veg meal+fish fry bill amount was 250. But the food is not worth that amount. I could have lunch from a premium restaurant at this price.Food - 3 starPrice - 1 starService - 4 starOverall 2.7 star only.
Good
Good food, great prices. its a little on the spicy side as expected. the parottas are amazing too
One of my friend suggested that this place serves the best beef dish. So we headed straight to this place to try it. Its a quite restaurant can seat to a maximum of 20. Beef was fantastic, as my friend said. It was a dry dish. I was absolutely amazed to see the tenderness and infusion spices in the meat. I myself finished the entire portion, it was that good.
Nice choice for kerala food.. traditional taste with reasonable charges
One of the oldest restaurant serving Kerala food. Had veg thali meals with fish fry. It was good
One of the good kerala restaurant in Chennai. Servicing the food in good taste and reasonable price. Especially Parotta as very good in that restaurant.
The food quality is an issue......they used old oil to make porotta so it taste bad..... i wont recommend this hotel.....
A small and decent restaurant for enjoying Kerala style meals and other food preparation. The taste is okayish but the overall experience is satisfying. Their chicken and erachi preparations are good. Have had mixed experiences with fish though!
Good place. Must try omelette.Be prepare to wait quite a lot time before your food served to you.
Beef is so good but fried rice is not bad since they will not use Ajinomoto
Beef fry was good. Meals great. Good customer service. Overall, nice kerala restaurant.
Quaint old style place but great food
Couldnt find Kerala taste. Nice hospitality
Mallu food at reasonable rates..must visit place
Yesterday we had dinner from this restaurant
This ones a favourite for more than 10 years for many who love third Parotta and beef curry. Be sure to try third authentic kerala food and meals. Its a small and average place with no parking. Youll feel lucky to find a spot on the road at times. Taste is really good and is worth your pocket . Dont miss this place if you have not tried so far.
Got beef fry and fish fry. Beef was great. Fish is stale. Maybe not preserved properly or fish is that old. For RS 120 for Ayila asking for a fresh fish is not a big ask. Hope they fix it soon.
Best known for Kerela porotta and beef dishes. Small place but well maintained.
Great place to eat Kerala cuisine at an affordable price. The meals with fish fry and syrian beef is awesome. Seating space is less and might have to wait for your table. Service is fast and staff are friendly.
Tasty meals at a very reasonable price. Quality and quantity is worth as well. Though the place is little, the food out plays it ..... The Payasam is brilliant!
Okay.
Superb service and food also. Especially beef items
If you are fond of having a Kerala food especially Non Veg then one can try this restaurant. Very hygiene preparation. Banjara fish fry is my favourite.
Everything about this eatery is fine. Fish curry was awesome. Beef fry is typical Kerala taste. Worth its money
Nonveg meals did not taste of Kerala but of Bihar! Better you dont serve fish curry
Clean and neat ambiance quiet and calm area customers friendly
Visited the place after about 30 years! Still the quality and neatness at its best!
Very good food lovely service the food is amazing do give it a try they give jerrs water thats not good though they should be little concernd though
Authentic Kerala food and good customer service
The meat items are really good as is traditional mallu veg/egg food. The rates are reasonable too.
Not so cheap...no too expensive... Normal rates with good to have tasty food... Authentic Kerala taste
Kerala style food with very reasonable price
Be it curry or egg dish we ordered there was no life in the dishes... while fish finger was fresh
During 1998 to say 2005, this was one of the best Kerala restaurants, but the quality has come down drastically, as bachelor I used to go to this place every week I think management has changed
Kerala parotta and beef curry for INR200. Tasty as always. Neat and AC fitted. Courteous service.
Food quality is ok ok. Not suggestable to others. This is the first time I am seeing that hand wash area in a hotel is inside hotel kitchen.
The taste was good. The price is also reasonable. But It has small space.
I visit regularly.... Good taste and worth the price... Kerala paratha with beef combo is excellent...
They are vanished in pandemic
If u love kerala food, this is the best place to go to
Superb and authentic Kerala Restaurant. Fish fries are wow. :)Youll get some good Non veg lunch over there. :)

I was a regular customer here in my college days in the 90s. The food is still good, but the Kerala beef fry wasnt as good as before. But overall good food.
Excellent Parotta and good service.
Easily accessible. Yummy food
Chennai best place to get Kerala non veg restaurant located in ROYAPETTAH high road near music academy
A decent kerala restaurant
North Indian food is great, No idea about Kerala style
Simply expensive... not felt good
Good one, a lil more cleaning up is required
Kerala style . A bit of a unique taste than normal.
Though the management has changed , still good Kerala food at very nominal cost , Thalis are good and wash down with warm jeera water . The prawn curry and beef fry also yum . Service is good .
They have the Best Kerala style Paratha.Cost: { Paratha ₹₹,Biryani ₹₹,Curry Items ₹₹₹₹ };Ambience: Good;Hospitality: Good.
Taste is good and reasonable price
Nowhere near what it used to be. But a reasonable deal
Good
It is a place located in the main area of the Chennai. It is a small place with good ambience. Here you can get typical Kerala dishes cooked in Kerala style. The signature dish here is the fish. Also parotta is also awesome and biriyani too. Definitely you can come here with friends and family for a nice lunch and dinner.
Authentic Kerala foods available.. i loved the special parotta and beef fry combo. Other biriyani menu is also good
Telugu photo.. their poor & aloo is great
Average Kerala food. Fish that I had 2 times were not fresh catch but frozen fish fried. Meat consumed in the evening was cooked in the afternoon and reheated and given in the evening. You get Kerala dishes but not Kerala taste.
Traditional food...value for money
Very cheap and tasty kerala food. Love the meals with brown rice
Best place to have most delicious authentic Kerala food.
Packing needs to be improved ! I had to use scissor to open the package and difficult to find which curry is what !! pls think if a person is hungry and ordering the food in Uber eats ! you want him to be ready with plate bowl and sissors ???packing - 2/100food taste - 75/100over all I havent had half of my food !! 🤕🤕

Kerala restaurant with partial Kerala atmosphere.
Good Kerala food. Tried many items and good in almost all and in almost all times as well.
Ok food. Quick service.
Best service .. food is good for d rate
My usual order from any Kerala restaurant will be beef curry and seafoods . I tried this kalpaka restaurant this time ... I ordered parotta with beef curry and a propmrhet fish fry . It was delicious and price worthy . They had lot of combos on the menu . Service was also good with well maintained interiors and clean atmosphere. Comparing to other Kerala restaurants this one comes under must try category for its low pricing and delicious foods with Lott of combo options .
Had a very bad experience was told have parking when i went there they said psrk on the road , went with a grt8 expectation for onam,no banana leaf was told it was expensive, ok thought its fine then the onam sadya horrible had two kinds of chips ,one unniappam, banana, one beans porial ,the only they made for onam was payasam and avialThey charged 250 ,the sambar rasam no salt.It would have been better to have regular meals, the service was poor one server running around .My humble request plz dont fool peopleAnd spoil onam sadya just say mealsHope you guys do a better job
My choice for good authentic kerala cuisine at pocket friendly prices
Good place. Mediam range kerala food. Try beef fry.
Its ok kind of kerala restaurant.. ordered Onam Sandhya but food quality was below average food
The food is just ok... The table cleaning is horrible and worst part is the stinking smell of wet cloth was thr till i finish off my dine...
My pick is Parotta and Chicken Keema masala
Been a favourite restaurant to taste authentic Kerala cuisine without torching your wallet since the past quarter century!
Good and flaky parottas and Kerala beef fry.
Good food reasonable rates
Epic Mutton biryani!. The best so far I had.

Small restaurant with quite ambience serving delicious kerala cuisine. Beef curry and spl kerala parotta is my personal favourite here.
Day by day taste bcom worst
A very good Kerala style restaurant in TTK Road, hidden in the first floor near Music Academy. Its good for the Kerala style Biriyani, Beef starters and Jeera water.
Very nice restaurant especially non veg...
