The first thing that comes to my mind when I think of crisp cafe, are the red velvet oh-my- God this is heaven pancakes! Its a great place to go to for lunch, an evening snack or dinner! The ambience is really good and the cafe has quirky little quotes and pictures everywhere. The service is really good, and the food is served in a matter of 5 to 10 minutes max. The spaghetti and pasta are relishing. Not to forget, the cake jars are a little too sweet, but are worth a try. The hot chocolate is worth a try. Grab the chicken club sandwich if youre really hungry- it is super filling! Brookie - a combination of brownies and cookies is a great wrap to your meal here. A must try is the cake batter and cookie dough shake. Crisp cafe is a lovely place to drop by with your friends!

The building design is very eye catchy and ambience is pretty decent and simple.And as far as the food is involved, had ordered gooey chocolate cake shake, coffee latte, cheesy fries and Nutella marshmallow sandwich.Everything tasted good apart from the cheesy fries which I feel was a big let down for a cheese lover. The melted cheese neither felt nor tasted like cheese. The consistency was too thin. And the salsa on top didnt go that well with it.Gooey chocolate cake shake was amazing. A small jar of chocolatey goodness.Nutella and marshmallow sandwich is a must try! And who can go wrong with a cup of good hot coffee.

The food as well as the atmosphere is best. Im impressed by the way they treat their customers and the interior decor is mind blowing. I would highly recommend this place.

Its good place to have coffee and some snacks in the evenings. Good ambiance, good music, good quantity and affordable prices being a cafe kinda place. They serve a really strong hot chocolate with a dark chocolate stick which is a must try. I would also recommend the cheesy fresh fries with salsa topping. Also a good place to relax with friends and family.

The food wasn’t all that great. Service was very good but what’s the point. Food needs to be as good as the service again. The dessert was way too sweet making it impossible to finish.

The food is very tasty and the choices are many. Also, all items in their menu were available. We ordered for one quantity of a dish and for some reason the waiter misunderstood as two. We were shocked when we got 2 quantities of the same dish. But the waiter said that even if we cancel we need to pay for it. So we were forced to accept 2. Otherwise, the quality of food was really good.

Very nice cafe. Delicious food. Moderately priced. Prompt service. Good place for a date as you can have a decent conversation without too much interruptions. And the food options as I mentioned are very well planned and tasty.

Anything that comes under your sweet tooth, crisp cafe is pretty Crispy. Probably something to do with the bakers below, must have been a cake walk for them, I’m not sure. The other part of the menu card though, is a let down and they could do much better there. I’d rather hope they served only these sweet dishes and expertise on that, for they’d do pretty well there or let’s just say, they already are.

I have been to nungambakkam a thousand times but never saw this place. I happened to see it today while looking for a new place to eat. I thought trying it out and didnt get to see the reviews too. But, once I entered the place I was confident of the place. The food was incredible, the place was quaint the staff were patient and courteous. If I am in the locality again I will definitely be visiting this place.

Good ambience. A variety of food available and there are some new ones to try. Sandwiches and Burgers are good but never try desserts. Had the worst experience with Red Velvet Mousse. Good service and prices are a bit costly. Good for couples and people who like some privacy.

Food and ambience is good. But service is very poor. There is only one person to attend the customers and when the place is crowded they struggle. We waited for 20 mins and they didnt notice we were there waiting, we just left. Management shld sort out this issue.

Cold coffee must try

Went for dinner and worst decision ever. I think the management changed because I was here a few months back and the food was not comparable to this experience in the least. Lamb chops were swimming in pepper soup, lemon crusted chicken was just fried breast chicken with some scarce lemon sauce. It just felt like they made a 10% effort. Please dont go waste your money!

Went for a birthday party, but was not allowed to cut the cake that was bought even considering that it was bought from Cake walk (its own bakery)The worse part was that even Cake Walk didnt allow cutting a cake bought from their own place... Located on 1st floor above Cakewalk on Sterling Road. Exposed brick here and there . Visible wiring pipes which were painted with the colour of the wall Painted Hardwood Chairs and Tables. No Cushions. Plastic glasses. Theres a theme going on but Im not sure what it is. The entry to the washrooms has a saloon both side swinging door. This place needs more attention it deserves than what it is getting is what I feel or may be I came in at the wrong time. There was just another one another party in there. Music was okay. Food was okay too nothing thatll blow your top off. This Im saying eventhough I went in there very hungry. I wasnt disappointed though. There was just 1 waiter when I went in. And the same was still there when I left. Didnt see anymore of them. You might like the place - you might not too. But this place has been standing there for quite a long time so pretty sure something is going right for it. May be I went in at the wrong time or may be it just wasnt my day. Definitely try.

Located in a quiet nook in Nungambakkam, although easily accessible. If you want to have a long heart-to-heart talk with someone, you can head here.. the food is OKAY..

They close strictly at 10pm. Too much oil and fried food. Ambience is good.

Not very comfortable to sit and spend time. Beverages that i tried were disappointing. Couldnt taste any salt in salted caramel. The appetizer was good but not exceptional.

Editing my review after visiting them 3 times in a month.The cafe is usually empty with less than 2 tables to no tables being occupied. The staff will keep invading you to order food, once you do that and are done eating. They would either ask you to order more or just get the bill even without asking. When I asked if it is not allowed to sit? the staff goes on to argue saying if you dont want to order you have to pay bill. I even told maybe I will order in a while, I dont feel like eating immediately.Waiter told he was instructed by management to give bill if customer doesnt order.This was the most unruly behavior by a staff in hospitality industry.Not visiting a place where customer is not treated well.

We always come for red velvet pancakes. They have the best pancakes. I never found those in anyother place other than crisp cafe chennai. I live in US and when i come back india for vacation, i dont miss these pancakes here. Worth a try.
