At a distance of 5.5 km from Chandigarh Bus Station, Japanese Garden is a latest park located in Sector31 in union territory of Chandigarh. This is the first ever garden in Chandigarh with Japanese touch.Japanese Garden has been developed at a cost of Rs. 6 crore by Indian Government. The garden isdesigned using Japanese architecture and each of the elements in the garden is given a unique Japanesetouch. Spread over an area of 13 acres, the park consists of two phases. The Phase-1 of the park wasinaugurated in 2014 and Phase-2 of the park was opened to public in 2016. Both the phases of the parkare connected by an underground tunnel decorated by beautiful Japanese paintings on both sides.This Japanese style park showcase the Japanese culture, art and various types of plants. The mainattractions of this garden include a pagoda tower, meditation hut, Zen garden, statues of Buddha, a smallpond with pretend crocodiles, a bridge over the pond and much more. There are 4 water bodies in thegarden and wooden bridges have been constructed over them. At night, the garden looks astonishing asthe walk-ways have been illuminated with Japanese lanterns.I went to capture the beautifulflowers and trees in the park for some nice b-rolls for our Chandigarh project. Beautiful place.Best in winters on a sunny day.Just keep a simple mat with you.You can also enjoy a small picnic here.Peaceful place for peaceful people.Small restaurant inside the park but I can’t guarantee the hygiene.Better you purchase the packed food like biscuits and chips.All in all a good place for short evening outing with kids.

Japanee garden is awesome and beautiful places. This is the top picnic and camp spot in Chandigarh. 5.5 km from chandigarh bus stand.

The garden is planned with Japanese architecture, and each feature in the garden has a distinct Japanese flair. The garden has been well-kept and is tidy. Its not well-known, so there arent many visitors. Its serene. Its a lovely theme-based garden.

Ideal place to just go for a walk or a stroll, though it’s not well maintained as of now not sure why, but still much better than most of the public parks we have seen and visited.It actually just lists some basic stuff for it to be treated as Japanese park copying some basic stuff from Japanese culture. Ideal for families to take their kids out for stroll and park playing which we have forgotten but not much can be done beyond a hour here..

Less people know about this place. Dont know why. Its a very well maintained park but you may want to ignore few things while to head to it. Except for the touchy touchy couples all over, the place itself has a great vibe but yes as I said Except for t-h-a-t.

This is a best place for family picknik, it needs slight more caring and specially pond area. When i visited this place there was no water in the pond and also paint on statue has become dull.

The fragrance of this place is soothing and relaxing. The design of the garden is extraordinary. This Garden in Chandigarh consists of two phases out of which the first part was inaugurated in 2014 and the second phase was opened for the public in 2016. You can feel you are visiting japan.It’s good place for meditation and yoga but I found so many tiktoker was there at that time and they were ruined the charm of the place.

The place was nice , but you should go there at 5 :30 and there are some tools to play and you all must take the games like football or badminton there you would have an great fun to play .Stay SafeStay healthy 🙂

Always a pleasure to come here. Its a long garden ideal for walk/run. More swings, slides and other exercise machines installed both sides.

A really really great place to enjoy. The park is well designed and taken care of. You can find the Japanese elements like the Japanese Pagoda, The bridges, Lantern lights, Prayer place, etc. Plus their is a track for people to walk on which is really good. You can visit the phase 2 of the park with a underpass that has various sculptures and beautiful paintings. If you are looking for a place to click photographes, look no further. Do visit this place once.
