As per govt website, you can fill the licence renewal form online and than take appointment. But surprised to see they dont consider your online generated form. They force you to buy file of Rs.120/- and fill the form manually.Pros- Large parking space opposite side of RLA office. Usually it takes 30 minutes for work completion.

Now the RLA Chandigarh is coming under a list of bad service provider....we cant able to get online appointment for regular driving test through its web trying since last 05days.Even not giving appointment through calls.Chandigarh administration should take a necessary action for betterment of service for the people. I think 95%Of appointment for regular driving test is already booked by the brokers ,making people fool by the RLA chandigarh.Nobody is bother about it.

Their only Motto is to make things more complicated for general public. They had cancelled all previous appointments for Regular Driving Tests Instead of postponing the test dates to next month. Now online slots are not available phone numbers they have provided are of no use and Learner License about to expire next week. Senior officials & Staff Members once getting Government Jobs their complete focused on Salaries they are getting from Tax Payers Money. Irresponsible officials should be terminated for negligence and under performing their Duties and make General Public lives more miserable. Unfortunately not less than 1 Rating available. Its true bcoz its my personal experience(new vehicle registration) that I didnt face any hurdle in form of bribe.The system is streamlined.New vehicle registration procedureGet ur application (in person or online) and get it filled.Get ur vehicles inspected (in scheduled days and timings)and submit the form with registration fees. Thats itU might get RC within 2 weeks. After that u can apply for high security registration plate.But be on time everywhere.Thanx

You will never be able to connect them on phone its always busy, or they never received, I am calling from 5 days and 20 times per day, not even single time it was free, i gues they just picked up recievers and kept aside.

Third class service. Typical babus office. The RTO is never on time. Long lines outside his office while he is supposed to be in meeting all the time. He appears few minutes before closing and just shouts and screams at people and staff. He doesnt know the meaning of public servant. The phone at RLA is never answered. So you visit it from out of town only to be told to return again and again and again. They should shut down this office and fire everyone and then hire qualified human beings instead of trash.

Excellent service. I deposit renewal of driving licence on 10/06/2019 at Counter no 7 A at 15.40 hrs. Free from full proceedures with 20 minutes. I got message on 11/06/2019 at 14.45 that driving licence despatch speed post . Today 12/06/2019 at 11.55 I got driving licence at home. Thanks to all concerned. Excellent service. Deserve for higher pay to all staff. A K Bhardwaj

This vehicle registration and licencing office is located in sector 17 beside Hotel Shivalik View and opposite of Women Cell. It is easily visible from the main road in normal traffic and there is parking space available. I went to enquire in the afternoon and was satisfied with the response of the staff. Being a government office, honestly I dont expect very good service but the lady answered my question.It is far better than the registration offices in other states. Every counter had hoarding and even computerized system is adopted to avoid touts and crowd. Seating arrangement for customers is available. Toilet, canteen, A/C and water filter make life easier for customers.

Worst people seating over no professional ethics , online system they have introduced is worst too you will get only appointment after one week minimum 8 to 7 days . Only making money through agents nothing else and they never pick your call. 0 professiolism , ethics 0 sensitive to wards public is 0 just make you come again and again nothing else ,do even if you had full papers.

I would have given negative rating if there was on option. Just waste of time in name of online appointment and MOB report. moreover the information provided in application Booklet is old and not updated. There is no mention that MOB report is valid only for 1 month which is totally illogical as their waiting time for online appointment 15-20 days. Just a sensless waste of time and money.

Procastinators recruited and trained for how not to work and how to make someone visit ten times in working hours to get a one minute job done in 5 days. Even handing over rc or licence takes three rounds queues and unnecessary photocopiez and originals.... Utterly hopeless staff

Very easy-to-understand, smart working, friendly co-operative environment and staff We have never seen so much better condition of all Government Autonomous Offices than in any other government place before. We took the online appointment for renewal of driving license (which expired three months back on 08-11-2018) a day before the journey, and it was about the services representing the mind of an IAS officer in ones life I will have a memorable experience. Counter number 2, as given in the designated slot between 12:30 and 13:00, we arrived there at 12:40, as a stranger (Baljit Singh) from Chandigarh Police comes to our car and takes his file. But demands gum to paste the document. We got delayed by 6-7 minutes in the quest for help and checking their documents, so there were already 3 people in the queue at window no. The representative checked our file at 12:52 in 3 minutes and then sent us to the record room for DL ​​authentication. In 1999, the same authority used to make DL with plastic foil studded but without SIM chip. The Record Room is in the basement, one floor downstairs, and before the entrance to other extended counters related to registration and granting of licenses for other services. Within 4-5 minutes the record room keeper checked and found the DL correct. After verification we again go to counter 2 where cashier Seema ji cooperates very politely, even at 12:59 pm, just before lunch time starts, and after aadhar authentication our fee Gave the receipt with the amount ₹ 1520 and the clock was showing 13:05. Post lunch we posed for our fresh picture in room no 8 as asked by the cashier to wait at home for total satisfaction given by the photographer and delivery of DL through speed post. So friends, overall our conclusion is that you can save your valuable time by collecting all the things on time.Very easy, understood, smartly functional, friendly cooperating environment & staff never seen before in any other public dealing place till now i visit all government run offices.
