Nice collection. Well maintained store

This is government owned company so I would recommend people to shop here to increase potential earnings of government instead spending money on foreign companies. This place provides you handicrafts and other related items to punjab culture. It is one of the good ways to preserve the culture and maintain the heirloom! Prices here are too reasonable. Wanted to shop for some souvenirs there but encountered an ill mannered ,rude, arrogant and frustrated guy at the entrance, probably the owner!!! I think the staff needs to learn relevant skills.

Price as compared to market is almost double dont buy anything in hurry ... From online shopping you can buy same article for almost half of the price 👍👍

While there are a lot of excellent Punjabi handicrafts available at reasonable prices in this store, and the staff are generally friendly and helpful, I had the bad luck to meet a pretty surly employee at the cash counter. It is possible that he was tired, and it is also possible that he was having a bad day at work. Whatever the reason, his attitude spoiled my shopping experience a bit. Hence the four stars.

Its a nice outlet selling various kinds of craft items from Punjab and nearby cultures. Though its a bit costly than local market but you can find various selected craft items under one roof.

An over expensive store for no reason, an article avail at 1/4th price outside is made available there by a government operated store on multiplied price. Collections of home decorative items attracts a resting of two star, nothing else would. One can visit for just an idea, not recommended to buy.

Ethnic Store by the Punjab Government to promote the traditional arts. A bit too pricey, however availability in sector 17 suffices that tag.

Good ambience but.......

Well for the name tag it carries and considering the big showroom it happens to have right in the middle of sector 17 plaza, I found nothing fascinating in phulkari suits or dupattas, the famous weave right from the heart land of Punjab. I actually found it yo be lacking in variable options and also the pricing which i found to be on the higher side. There is one more shop which also deals exclusively in phulkari suits, dupatta and pashmina shawls, which i do feel has more collection to choose from. However I cannot comment on their pricing since I havent personally bought from there.

Government of Punjab emporium with everything from inlaid wooden tables to jootis. The word phulkari literally means flowering. It is a form of craft in which embroidery works with great finishing touch is done. Phulkari are part of Punjabi culture.Many showrooms and emporiums lined up in this city sells a wide range of phulkari products ranging from cushion covers, handkerchiefs, textiles, shawls, dupattas, carpets, furniture, etc. But this the best place to buy traditional phulkari.
