Good place for stray dogs hospitalization

For the treatment of animals it was a good place. They treat stray dogs and cats if they find one.Usually timing is from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm then 6:00 pm - 9:00pm (on Wed - its same for morning but in the evening its from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pmBut in terms of hygiene and numbers of workers was not satisfying..

All the staff is very humble. They all love animals a lot. All of them cares for each and every animal. They know the status of every animal on their tips. There are some volunteers also, who serves the animals with lot of love and care. Hygiene, care, primary medical care is excellent. They also give them very good food. Everybody meets with very polite attitude. They dont get irritated even if you ask them many times.

They are very helpful and i pray to God that He keep showering his blessings on them🙏🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

Staff is good but , they dont adopt stray animals unless they are injured .

I called this place and some guy pickedd it . first of all they talk soooo rudely and badly . they didnt answer my calls at first and then when he did, they said we dont help stray dogs , call the police and blah blah. Guys dont trust this place , i wannted to help a domesticated dog who had been abandoned and injured , but they didnt help. very very dissapointed . this is a show off and money minded place.

We sent three stray dogs from our locality and the two of them got infected by distemper in the hospital and eventually passed away... They gave food and everything but the place is not at all clean and no proper sanitation...The doctors and the workers were good but there are still somethings that can be improved...

The place was not in a good condition. Although people working there i.e doctor, volunteers are doing very good work saving and taking care of animals with whatever resources they have. Shame on the administration for not providing adequate funds/resources to them to work properly in a clean environment.

If u found any animal or bird injured, please do call them and take the pet to this place, they will help them and give treatment, there staff is doing great job indeed

Hospital is well build ...but they dont take care of dogs properly. Even they were giving breakfast to dogs at lunch hours. Moreover no proper sanitation for dogs.

A place for animals, people working here are really kind and efficient.

Its an amazing shelter for all the animals. Also, it has gau shaala. Your funds really help them , so keep contributing. They use it very wisely. They rescue dogs and other animals from all over tricity.

Very irresponsible behaviour recieved. It seemed like the dog rescuers come just for the formality .If someone really want to help some dog , please RECORD their video of capturing dog or make a LIVE video while they rescue the dog.I called them to take a dog whose foot was badly damaged . 2 persons came in a van , out of which only 1 came out with only 1 stick which had a small circular rope attached to it. He was catching him like he wants to make him run . The dog was sitting outside the ground and the person was trying to catch him from inside with his SMALL stick. since , the road was open on both sides , the dog ran.But still it was possible to catch the dog because it was not so far away . But they just sat in the car and went away .I recieved information from 1 neighbour that they come everytime and do the formality and go .And they say catch him in your home or a closed area . We have complained 2-3 times but still they are showing this much irresponsible behaviour .Firstly , how it is possible for only one person to catch the dog . Even if two persons are available the dog was is easily catchable.

This place has lots of animals admitted and they serve good as the very first treatment given to the animals who met with accident. I think it is administration controlled/approved society and the doctors, technicians ready to serve the people who admit the animals for their first treatment. As they have lots of cases, they dont bother much to advanced treatment or a very good treatment but yes if hospitals are closed or far to reach them, just approach here.

The only government shelter in Chandigarh catering to all injured animals. But i do request people to not feed animals without consulting with the veterinarian.Do volunteer as and when possible. Also, adopt an animal and save a life instead of buying one!

Organisation just for the name of itThey hardly take care of animals sent to them. We had sent 4-5 stray dogs to them and no response was given about their wellbeing when asked,also the pictures shown to us are very different from the real environment.

Treatment was very good . I truly believe that people in Chandigarh must donate liberally for the welfare of pets. Dr. Digvijay was extremely helpful even at night and that too after his duty hours.

They are doing great work . This organization helped an injured puppy when I took him to them. But as they have limited resources,animals are caged up and they feel lonely many times.Humble request to all - in case u want to help injured animals please take them with you after treatment,they will recover faster.

At ChanDiGarh UT, the SPCA(Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) is doing a yeomans service. Another place where I had the ringside view of this organitsation was at Goa when I was posted there as 2IC of the GoaPolice. Wherever, there are genuine people they will perform superbly irrespective of the organisation they serve with. That time the overall incharge of this organitsation was Dr John, a Britisher veterinarian, based in North Goa. He was a pure vegetarian, non-drinker and a unique family man. His wife used to live with him whenever he was in Goa. During the summers, they used to go to Britain/Europe for their holidays. Rest of the year they used to live in India. He had his own house in a village in Goa, next to a Church, on a hill slope with big jungle as a backyard. His SPCA centre was a few kilometres away in another village, in the area of Siolim, if I remember correctly? He was very friendly and always tried to protect the animals, in wild as well as pets in an enthusiastic manner. A bold and frank human being, who enjoyed his work to the core of his heart. But, now he is no more as he passed away a few years back, while in Goa. I have fond memories and a deep sense of respect for his departed soul. May his selfless work inspire the coming generations for living in harmony with nature. As we human beings have no alternative. Either we follow the nature or perish as a species from the face of this planet Earth. The planet is not in danger but we definitely are. So, either we live smartly in harmony or die due to our own foolishness. Novel Corona is just a mild trailor to wake us up from our slumber and warn that we genuinely live as humans on top of the evolution pyramid or meet our end unsung and unknown in this beautiful Creation.

They are doing good job but Need cleaning

They are always wonderful caring people. I just took an injured piglet to SPCA 38chd and they quickly got that admitted and started care. Hands up to their wonderful appetite for selfless service to the animal kind. Thank You all of you working there..from senior to junior level all are awesome people, the angels on the Earth for poor animals....

Requesting people to put waters to Dogs and cats when you visit. Because they provide food only to the animals. Maybe they have very limited staff. Most of the time i noticed, Animal were thirsty.

Service can be improved. It doesnt take an ambulance to rescue a kitten. Any volunteer would have come and took her. Shes injured from back followed by a horrible attack by stray dogs. I hope she recovers soon. UT should take such matters more seriously and invest a little more. But overall, Im glad that you guys admitted her. I will come to see her again.

This place has lots of flaws but it is only one of its kind so one cannot really complain.Its the collective effort of volunteers that it is running. But still condition of animals needs tons of improvement.

What they do is actually unconditional care. But I think infrastructure and the living place for animals and the people attending should be more. There is a need more staff and that too dedicated one.... Its the only one in its kind. The local govt should set up a few more shelter for animals

They dont deserve one star.. I fail to understand what is the authority at SPCA doing. No cleanliness, dogs cages are covered in stools, flies all over the place, excessive heat in some areas. A lot of the work including food and renovations (fans, lights, flooring, etc) is being done by hard working volunteers. I cant even imagine what the place would look like if there were no volunteers. Very disappointing to see the useless staff who are sitting in their clean air conditioned offices and getting paid.Please take some actions ASAP .

My friend who lives in 44 D chandigarh had sent 5 street dogs here but we still dont know about their whereabouts whether they are still alive or not as they havent returned.Also it is not so clean which is important as they are taking care of sick dogs but the clutter around them will only make them more sick.

Dont bring birds and animals to them for treatment because they will kill them instead of treating because according to them they dont have enough space and resources to take care of ill/injured birds and animals.Breaks my heart to see how an animal Welfare organisation treat animals!

Always open to new animals, readily available to send animal ambulances for help. Offers recovered animals for adoption!

Very nice place for one to take their pets to . Clean and organised . Very gud vet docs , all facilities for your pets including a vet medicine shop and even a parlour . They have op theatres , x ray , labs . Just take your pet there and all will be well .
