Butterfly Park in Chandigarh is situated in front of the main entrance of Chandigarh College of Engineering and Technology in sector 26 of Chandigarh. The butterfly park is extended over a region of 7 acres with a meticulous scene. In this garden for making habitat of butterflies special care is taken. This park is full of plants and vegetation with a different variety of trees with a huge pond. To see the beautiful and colorful butterflies March to October month is best because in winter some species of butterflies goes into hibernate.

Nice place for tracking with butterfly 🦋.But you can take with odomos because this place many mosquitoes.Timings 9 AM to 5 PM

Nice little park in the middle of Sector 26. It has a nature trail, pond, conservatory and some benches as well. The plants and trees are all well marked with information about the different butterfly species. Good for an outing with children. Will visit again in butterfly season.

I have recently visited this beautiful park called butterfly park.The park is so beautiful and calm, there is a lake inside the park. There are so many beautiful flower plants. We can visit this place for relaxation and enjoyment with friends family.We can spend the quality time.

Small park focussed on butterflies. There are many Butterfly host plants here and therefore butterflies can be seen fluttering around. Theres a small pond as well which attracts several birds. The park has plenty of flowering plants to lighten up the mood.

Wow..this park is really amazing .nature lovers love to visit this. So many butter flies there to love. So many different types flowers plants and fruits trees there.. one glass green house there but they locked it, so sad. There is small lake which is full of lives like fishes and some fries of fishes, so natural nature place.

The park is spread over a decent area, a little of which is manicured (pictures attached) while most of it is PLANNED dense overgrowth necessary for butterfly life cycle, but looks VERY unwelcoming. Butterfly varieties are few - saw 4 or 5, and the number of butterflies is also low - we saw 20 - 25 IN TOTAL over a one hour period, and most them were in the manicured area. Park remains closed from 12 PM to 3 PM

Very good place to have a relaxed stroll. The entry is free , folks needs to enter their details in the register. The place looks small and few butterfly varieties can be spotted. There is a small pond inside the park and huge canopy surrounding it. Many varieties of shrubs are there and a mini enclosure with numerous other plants are available too. The maintenance is very good. Generally people can spend 30 minutes to an hour. The parking for 2 wheeler and 4 wheeler are outside.A must visit place for kids and toddlers.Pets are generally banned from entering. So kindly have a note about it.

Very poorly maintained with barely any Butterflies. It is good to take the kids on an educational tour to show them all the pictures and life cycle of a butterfly. They have a small green house where some Butterflies may be found. They can do better.

This park has been built with a major aim to create awareness & make people involve with the butterflies. The park is still under final touches but its really well made & with a noble cause. There a lot of plants n trees which attract butterflies & also Informative Charts have been placed near the entrance for general public. There is also a small pond or lake here. Its not a big park but still good for a visit & spend time with the nature.

Its a good park with images of different types of butterflies. Good spot made for picnics. Clean park well maintained. Only one thing is missing i.e. washrooms. Much required for people who come for picnics. Huge park also different types birds can be seen.

Love this ❤️ 😍 garden i visit here manny times in a week but in winter there is no butterfly because absence of sun 🌞 if you want enjoy visit there in sunny day or in summers but in summers evening there is many mosquito bites.

A park dedicated to butterflies !! Now this is what makes me adore Chandigarh more. It is only here you can find such amazing parks. Park has so many varieties of butterflies but you will see all of them only if you visit in suitable season. Park is not maintained intentionally as weeds are required for some butterflies to live. There is a small lake, surrounded by very densely grown trees. One time visit.

The park is having wonderful varieties of host plants for butterflies which includes Ashoka, Salix,Mango, Citrus, Amla, Palm, Calotrpis and capris, etc.The park is amazing and the big trees surrounding it will make you feel that you are in a forest ( if you see upwards and forget the decoration done on the ground).

Excellent place for nature lover

Its nice, its quite, its home of lots of beautiful butterflies. Its well maintained by forest department stated in 2012. You will see lots of varieties of plants here and butterflies living on them. They have a small lake here too its a must visit place. Its open full day1. (No washrooms, under construction I think. I have seen some construction work there)2. (Limited parking space only for two wheelers four wheelers can be parked in a ground near to it on a walking distance. Please dont park on road or in front of gate)

You should have in mind you never can find a butterfly there but for sure you can enjoy the walk and roam around peacefully. Can see uncountable flowers there in garden. Timing is from 9 to 5 pm.

Nice green cool place to spend an hour or two. Benches are available for sitting. However, in the month of April, one wont find much butterflies here. Only 2 kinds of butterflies could be seen.

The Park is beautiful, couldnt find any butterflies.Their security guard at the entrance is rude and misbehaves with tourists,the closing time is 5pm, but they do not allow entry after 4:30 pm and all staff leave the premises at 5 pm

I will tell u the best timings to be here: Winters: the best reasonTiming when its sunny...otherwise no useSummer early morning till 10.30 am and 4.30 to its closeRainy season and humid season...no use to visit this place. You can even witness Light Brown Ants here.

Nicely done could maintain it better but no butterflies but they also do not charge. Very friendly security people. We dropped by a little early they were shut still but let us in 10 mins earlier

Very beautiful place near lake and Golf Course Chandigarh. Nature lovers Paradise place so beautiful full of Exotic flora and fauna a place for butterflies to Blossom from Pupa to fully grown butterflies natures bounty and nature lovers Paradise. You must visit this place if you are in Chandigarh it is very nearby to Chandi Chandigarh Lake and golf course if you happen to visit this side. It is very School kam and isolated place far away from the Hustle and bustle of the city life you will find a large variety of trees flowers plants exotic fruits and vegetables grown specially for butterflies to come visit this place and prosper in the garden. There is a small lake which is full of fish Turtles and other really seen wildlife species.

Nice...but I think it was not the right month or time to visit the park..There was no butterfly..I visited at 3PM 2 days back.

Got to know about this park quite late. It is one of the hidden parks of Chandigarh. What makes this park special is the sheer number of butterflies. There is a beaten path to walk through the entire park. There is also a pond in the middle of the park. Although it is a nice place, it could be maintained better. I can see it become one of the citys tourist hotspots if maintained properly.

Beautiful park. Great natural spaces with minimal lawns. A small lake, several large trees. Wonderful place for outing with children. Will be better in summer due to lake and shade from trees. In winter, barely any sun reaches the ground.
