Small restaurant space. Theres hardly 8 tables in there so expect a wait time during popular hours. The food is authentic south Indian food and is really good. We went in for lunch on a Sunday and ordered quite a bit for the two of us :) the portions are on the smaller side on some of the dishes but the food was really good! Had the Malabar parotta, gongura chicken, mutton sukka, kuzhi paniyaram and badam milk. All of it was really good. The mutton sukka was less in quantity but really tasty. No complaints about any of the other dishes. The service can be a little slow, there was only one person for four tables but the food arrived pretty quickly. Definitely ordering the kuzhi paniyaram again. Wish the place was on door dash though!

Utterly delightful small restaurant! The food was widely varied, well-prepared and delicious. Even two dishes that looked the same had totally different flavors and multi-layered complexities. The dosas are richly flavored, yet simple enough to feed to small kids. The pricing was reasonable, and the staff was courteous, helpful and sincere in their suggestions. This one goes in the regular rotation!

After seeing Samburna writeup in the Seattle Times my wife and I drove from North King County to experience the Dosa and Dumplings for ourselves. We were not disappointed. Samburna use of spices couple together with a variety of foods adds explosive flavors with crispy and delicate taste. It is definitely worth the trip. Arrive early to avoid waiting as the words is out.

One star for food, as the food is amazing. But the service is horrible.I ordered 2 dosas on a Friday evening. I knew that the place is going to be crowded, and expected a long wait. Which, the person taking the order did inform me that theres 50-55 minute wait. I said fine, I will come in an hour for pick up.I went exactly after an hour, and the lady who took my order after telling me that she is checking in on my order, served other customers in the restaurant. About 3-4 minutes later, she realized that she need to check on my order. After checking with the Chef, she came back and mentioned that it is going to take another 20 minutes. This is unacceptable, I waited full hour to pick up my order, and then you are telling me to wait another 20 minutes. It was very clear that they hadnt started making my order yet. If it was going to take 1 hour and 20 minutes, you should have told me that its going to take that long. Either I would have waited, or would have ordered from some other place. But instead, you wasted my hour, without the food. Ultimately, I had to leave without the food. In the 20 min they asked me to wait, I ordered same food at different place, reached there in 13 min, picked up the food, and was already headed home.

I got take out so I cant comment on the dine in service but the food had great flavor. If you cannot tolerate spicy I would let them know when you order. We had asked for less spice and felt it was still too spicy for us. However, we could taste that the flavor was amazing. The chicken 65 is dry (only the spiced chicken but no curry). The chicken itself is moist with great flavor. Overall they have a large menu and Id go back to try other food.

I placed an order from this restaurant for my wedding in June 2021 and loved the food, it was delicious. All the guests enjoyed the food and appreciated it a lot as well (Bisibelebath is my personal favourite). Mr. Madhi coordinated with me through out and made sure the food was delivered on time. They also provided utensils to serve the food and to ensure it stayed hot until it was served. The price was very reasonable and i would definitely recommend this place to everyone.

I don’t know what happened to Samburna. It has gotten sweeter and sweeter, to a point it’s indigestible. Recently ordered chicken dish and paneer dish of different curries. They both taste exactly the same - two bowls of syrup. It was so hard to swallow. Last time I ordered it became noticeably sweeter but at least tolerable. I have never had any entree that sweet in my whole life. I am very sad because Samburna used to be my go to Indian place. Very sure it’s not my taste bud cuz other Indian restaurants in the area stay consistent.
