We went to the Toshali Crafts Mela and it was well organised. The area is vast and mela or fair was maintained well by government.

Ground where all international expo are organised along with crafts and handicrafts fests. Last time I visited(Feb20) had an amazing experience.

Quite a large space and great for the exhibitions. Parking space is really huge. However the road around are a bit narrow and during large exhibitions, they get jammed. Toshali festival is one of the prominent craft exhibitions and sells which happens at this place. One of the best crafts exhibitions.

It is an open ground near Jaydev Vihar. In heart of Bhubaneswar this ground is large enough to organize any public exhibition and convention. Exhibitions are not fix here you will find different exhibitions in different days around whole year. Readers will get sometime book fair, sometime musical concert and many more. But every year during the month of November-December you will find Toshali mela that exibits Handlooms and Handicrafts work of Odisha and of different States. You just have to follow public displaying and social sites to know about upcoming and ongoing events. This ground is next to Hotel Swosti Premium. It had enough space for parking inside during any events.

Janta Maidan also known as Event Park of Odhisha. Last year, I visited Janta Maidan for Odisha Art Fesitival 2019, which was quite magnificent, hunderds of Arts and Crafts shops are built in Janta Maidan. Concerts are also held on this park. On 2018, Neha Kakkars concert held in Janta Maidan.

This is the pic of Toashali Festival- Dec17.Beautiful Decorations all around. Crowd gathering is huge and also the crowd management team does a wonderful job here. The stalls demonstrated rare craftsmanship which has been the speciality of India. The weather in this part of the year just is the icing on the cake stuff. The only let down is the quality of food offered, which is understandably due to high rush.

Wow!! what a Beautiful place. First Time I went there and Saw the environment that is quite amazing and crowd of people there was So Beautiful. There was a huge space for Mela or get together of all people at one place at same time.

Nice grounds. Well maintained. They are used to conduct big festivals/conferences/ fairs/ shows, etc. During the Hockey World Cup 2018, they were used as parking grounds. The Toshali Tribal Crafts Mela is also held here. The arrangements are good. There is ample parking space. Location also quite central.

Good place for mela 😅😅

Went for a special event organised by Tourism & small scale industry department of Government of Odisha . The festival called Toshali Festival of Handloom & handicrafts. Basically it exibits with handlooms and handicrafts around the corner from India. They show live activities of making saree, silkworms, silks and other handicrafts. Its well organised. If folks feel hungry, the food court is there. It generally holds for 15 days in the month of December.

All kinds of functions, events, exhibitions and ceremonies are organised and celebrated here as its huge to have a lot of people together at a time. Parking facility is available. The ground has 2 parts. The organisers use it as per their preferences.Usually Book fairs are arranged here. Other than that, state exhibition, Art and craft melas, Food festival, Bhubaneswar fest, Dandiya events and other functions also occur from time to time.

Ahhh this place is for Only events nice and big.

The actions taken for pandemic is good. Shops are placed in rows and each row is approximately 20 feet. Price is a little bit expensive and there are no food stalls this time. People are not maintaining any social distancing and some people are wearing masks under their nose. There is a big parking lot so parking lot is not a problem. In short, if you are willing to pay for something that is overpriced, then go for it.

Very large space for exhibition purpose and also for parking ,but due to posh area you have to face heavy traffic during exhibition time,sports event due to players stay near hotels and any minister visit in Janata maidan .

Good n big field...but need to clean

This is really a very big place and many people can gather here at a time. Generally bigger concerts,stage shows, fairs, public gatherings for some noble cause,gets arranged here...Its devided into two parts....The entrance to the maidan can also be done from more than two ways... Parking for vehicles is really easy in comparison to other public gathering places,but the problem arrises handling the traffic situation...The near by Highway makes the condition really hectic...The place can easily be recognised as there are many hordings and nameplates written near it.... overall its very good place to jam on when there is some function going on.

This is an excellent location for all kind of functions and fairs as it is very much closer to the main road. During the time of function it becomes difficult to cross the road. I think overbridge connectivity will reduce the crossing problem. I cant find permanent public toilets beside the location. It is necessary. Otherwise location has lots of merits interms of reachability and space provisioning for large gathering of crowds.
