Very friendly and clean Indian restaurant. Delicious food but a bit spicy for european standards. My girlfriend had a stomach ache later on so be careful 😅 I still suggest that you visit the place because i thought that the food was delicious and the waiters were friendly! 👍
Food is tasty; portions are big; the waiter was nice
Best Indian place I tried so far in Berlin. The Prices are appropriate and the staff really friendly.
Best Indian food in Berlin. Highly recommend
Awesome food. Must try lunch menu.
Good Indian food with starters and chai.
Best Indian Restaurant in this area
Tasty food and friendly service
We tried this restaurant for the first time and were not disappointed. The food was fresh and very tasty, rich in flavors and had just the right levels of spiciness. The rice had a cinnamon stick in it which added to the flavor. Service was very good as well. I was approached by the server though who seemed nervous about me taking photos- strange but cant hold it against them.
If you like Indian food, you definitely have to give it a try.Good service and food quality. Price is appropriate.Recommended!!!
The food was okay but I didnt feel it was better than other 4 or 5 Indian restaurants I know in Berlin, despite reading some comments stating this was the best one in Berlin. Therefore if you leave or happen to be nearby its a good option but not worth to be traveling there from far just for eating there.
Very nice indian cuisine :)
Having had a lot of Indian food in other cities (London, Dublin), I was unimpressed with they Madras curry. It was missing complexity and was quite thin. Service was good and it was decent but really not worth the high rating.
VERY TASTY ! The lentil soup was to die for just as the biryani :))
It was good, decent food. They have good gesture by giving Mango shots at the end of your dinner. Price was reasonable and good to visit. Cosy ambience and outside sitting available. Thank you.
Super nice food!! The closest to real Indian food I’ve had so far. The flavours are balanced and they don’t spice the food for the sake of making it spicy only.Would recommend!!
The taste of food was very bad and not even close to the taste of an good and authentic Indian restaurant. I have ordered dal makhani and it was tasting like it was from previous day so I have not eaten it and taken it as parcel to home to check if my doubt was correct. I kept it for 2 to 3 hours and then checked it again and yes it was a stale food. Also the waiter or staff which was doing service was rude and didnt had manners to talk to the guests. The restaurant interior was also not that good like a good Indian restaurant and giving an feeling of Pakistani or Bangladeshi restaurant.
Indian restaurant Zaika is a nice place near park and not too busy, on a quiet street, a place to relax. For a welcome the thin bread with kumin is served with three sauces: lemon mint yoghurt, tamarind and spicy green. From the variety of food we choose vegetarian fruit and vegetable salat accompanying with a glass of rose, a fresh dinner. Other meal was vegetarian hot food with cheese and pumpkin in spicy coconut curry sauce with kardamom flavoured basmati rice. Food was tasty. Service is of a high quality.
Delicious Indian food. We had a great dinner with different shared dishes and all were amazing. Staff is also really kind and helpful. They helped me making my dish vegan with no problem and adjust the spicy for all of us.
Great Indian restaurant, good food , good quality and quantity. The environment is pretty nice as well. Affordable, approx 20-25 € for two people. Must visit
Definitely one of my favourite Indian restaurants in Berlin. Fresh ingredients and authentic spices. Super friendly staff. Can only recommend.
Not many Indian restaurants our there will deliver a consistently delicious experience. Zaika stands out because of consistency, friendly service, reasonable prices and delicious food!
The menu is far too big (I never understand why a big menu is a good thing) because there is no way they could personally prepare every sauce in house (so must use jars).I would prefer to have 5 carefully prepared homemade dishes to choose.I also found the chicken a bit weird - cut into absolutely perfect cubes and with a very soft texture. I am suspicious when meat doesn’t look or feel like meat. Would rather a chicken thigh or breast that has been marinated, and the meat just falls off the bone. The three stars are for the delicious peshwari naan that they made for me, despite it not being on the menu.Good customer service, and Delius mango vodka too.I will keep an eye out as would be happy to try a homemade specials board and see a menu half as big!I really miss a good, home made, authentic curry! The search continues with hope....
Lovely food and atmosphere. Had a great two course meal along with wine for two people for a very reasonable price. Staff were friendly and not overbearing, Lamb was delightful. I will definitely be back.
The reviews on this restaurant were looking great. Sadly the food was super salty, the table and the dishes weren’t clean and I felt sick after the meal.
The food was alright, the staff seemed stressed and the vegan options are not clearly marked in the menu (not even the allergens..)
Service was OK but the food was definitely not what we expected as we read so many good reviews; the naan was not that good, and we tried two different dishes and they tasted exactly the same... we ordered lamm vindaloo and lamm madras, it didnt taste like coconut at all. I wouldnt recommend this place, at least not for eating.
Very good indian food. The full service experience.
Great place! The Staff is nice and helpful, we were warned that our ordered food is extra hot (it was). We got a starter (chips with sauces) and in the end, we got mango shots :)
Solid place! Very good portion size and tasty food with fresh ingredients. Service was friendly.I won’t take off a star for this, but the toilet hall area and toilets could use some updating.
First indian restaurant in Berlin that didn’t disappoint me and actually had real fresh food with great Indian flavors, and i’ve tried a few since i came here. I had butter chicken and garlic naan. Both tasted very good, the naan was hot and fluffy. Mango lassi also had a lovely taste, ordered 2 glasses. The food came fast and the service was excellent, there was always a waiter around paying attention. Really great food, great service, happy customer.
One of the best genuine Indian dishes I had
Great food and service! One of the best Indian restaurants in Berlin for sure.
Some of the best Indian food in Berlin, staff was friendly and prompt
I absolutely loved the food and I kind of tried to dishes both chicken based. One with spinach and the other was very spicy....for intending visitors after 10pm some of the menu options are unavailable.. like nan
Lovely service, great prices and certainly good food.
Delicious food, great atmosphere. Love the sitting and the price is reasonable. Worth to check out 😁😍
Best Indian restaurant in the area. Others cant even compete.
Good food, but not actually authentic
In other times one of my favorite Indian places in Berlin, during Corona not the best choice, they just didnt seem to care.
Real Indian foodZaika serves really good Indian food, not compromising too much to cater to the European palette. So when the menu says its spicy, it is spicy. The dishes are well balanced, without spices overpowering the taste of the individual ingredients. When the weather allows it, enjoy the large outside area. Staff is attentive, but occasionally you may have to wait a bit longer for your drinks.
I was up all night sick after eating here. The food was lousy and our waiter was horrible.
We lived in London for 6 years and honestly, this is the first Indian restaurant that for us was REALLY GOOD here in Berlin! Thank you, we had a great meal and right price :-)))
I’m an Indian. So I know what Indian food tastes like. Sadhu’s is better than Zaika according to me. The food was lacking the zesty Indian taste that it should have had.
Great food. Very close to what one gets in India. They adjust the spice levels according to customers taste too.
Nice tasty food.
The best Indian food I know of.
Meal not as advertised
Unfortunately over the course of the past couple of years the taste has changed a lot. These days my throat starts hurting, which for me is always an indication of MSG or cheap sauce. All the appetizers taste very oily as well. Therefore I wont be coming back.
One of the few good Indian restaurants I tried in Berlin. Really friendly staff. Fast and professional service. Definitely recommend it.
Somehow not tasty... Ive been here many times as it comes highly recommended but I really cannot say Ive enjoyed the food despite really wanting to. Its tasteless and not salty enough. But I have to say my Indian friends say its really good and authentic. For my taste, there are much better Indian restaurants in Berlin.
Good tandoor
Quite a decent food. Tasty and spicy. Moreover, the spiciness is much higher than Germans got used to.
The food was below average. They served us duck madras instead of chicken madras. Anyway, they replaced it for us but it was some wait. After the meal when we decided to pay, they said that they dont accept MasterCards. I offered my visa card and they said they dont accept visa cards either. The waiter was really rude to us when we suggested that the restaurant should accept these cards. We had no option but to walk and withdraw cash. It is definitely not pleasant to do be going and withdrawing cash to pay them instead of just relaxing and heading home. Would not recommend this place. It was stressful experience.
Delicious food. Good service. They can make a dish very spicy if you want it to be. Great prices, €26 for two guys to get very full at lunchtime.
Superb! Agree with all positive reviews here 🤩 authentic food like in delhi!! (And butter chicken is not sweet curry like served elsewhere, its authentic 🤩)
Great ambiance, friendly staff and good food.
Very good Indian restaurant on Wichertstrasse near to Schõnhausser Allee. There is a good value lunch menu and very good evening menu.
Good indian food. A little out of the main areas so can be difficult to reach but if you can make the journey, you get some good quality Indian food. Is not a huge restaurant, unlike some others in town but you can probably find space anyhow. Overall a good experience to eat here.
Im honestly shocked to read, that quite a few critics state this cuisine is not only supposed to be authentic Indian cuisine but apparently even better than what they had in India. Where did you guys eat in India? Lets cut to the chase...the food is good for European standards BUT deals with the pervasive meat and grease/cream over flavor issue. The chicken is pressed meat and the plentiful flavors of the yummy Indian subcontinent are reduced to the few wanted by the European palate. Giving this venue 4 stars is already very generous.
Really nice place!
If you are looking for real authentic spicy food. Zaika is the place to go. Really good stuff
Went there at lunch. Food was reasonable priced but very salty. Staff were mostly unfriendly, and when paying hinted that a tip wasnt included... Will not be going back in a hurry.
Best Indian food in Berlin!! Finally a place that doesnt compromise in order to adjust itself to the local taste. Its a real Indian food with lots of spices as it should!
Really amazing Indian food mabye 8-12 euro a plate. You will leave full and super satisfied. Food comes in little dishes to put on rice so easy to share family style.
Very good food. Very good price. Reasonable time. Excellent service. A gem in the district.
The samosa is a must, everything is delicious and not too spicy.
Excellent restaurant. The royal flush of jackpots.
Authentic Indian taste. It is usually busy and order would take a while but worth the wait. Must visit.
Probably the best Indian restaurant I have been so far in Berlin, however in international comparison there is still room to improve. Good things first, the food is tasty and prices are very good. The naan was very good and felt fresh. I would have loved for the curries to be a bit thicker, but overall again very good.
Authentic Indian food. Great for family too. But not enough space and service is average.
To be honest, was disappointing. The lamb was really dry, it was not possible to get the flavors. With such many recommendations I was expecting something better.
3 stars because this might be the closest to Indian food you can find in the city. Stomach akces all around the next day (6 friends dinning). If youve been to India or eaten REAL Indian food youre up for a disappointment. Other than that the place looks nice, the waiters were nice and the dishes are authentic
Amazing food and service
Excellent food, great service, generous portions and reasonable prices! Cute outdoor seating, great for a summer evening. Loved the paneer dishes!!
Best Indian restaurant in Berlin. V reasonable prices. Nice staff
Really good food. Must try dal makhni.
Good indian cuisine food with traditional indian tasteWas very busy on Saturday evening but the accommodated wellCustomer service quick and prompt
Same good quality since years
Absolutely delicious. Love Indian food and this is one of my favourite spots. Food is great, pleasant interiors, friendly staff.
The food is really nothing special and it takes ages to arrive - meanwhile staff keeps insisting just 2 more minutes all the time. To my taste its only authentic Indian in the sense that staff talks nonsense.Terrible experience.
Ery Nice Place to visit with your family. Excellent food and settings for the mood. :)
Very good food served fast for a reasonable price. Lots of vegetarian dishes. Only a tiny selection of desserts.Food varies considerably in hotness, be careful! ;)
Cost : 5 star (Highly reasonable and less I would say comparatively)Ambiance : 3.5 StarLocation : 4 starTaste : 3star (earlier3.5 star)The taste might vary from people to people. As an Indian I hardly find any restaurant serving food with an authentic Indian taste here. So its my personal opinion. Ive been to this place many times, I feel the taste changed a bit
Very tasty and delicious food, best indian restaurant in Berlin for me personally.Very fast and friendly service!!
Really delicious food!! And the staff is really nice. Ill go again for sure!
Very original: first time I had lentils soup with Coconut milk and it was delicious! Also they have duck, which is pretty rare in Indians Restaurants.
Another Indian restaurant with over priced dishes. Seekh Kebab -11.90 its basically bratwurst in tomato sauce with a slice of paprika. Indian failed 👎🏽
Friendly staff, amazing quality, overall impressed!
Enjoyable Sunday Lunch. Good food, quick service and resonable prices.
