Its fantastic to see a veterinary clinic where all types of animals are cared for. My niece volunteered here for 7 days and in the process my empathy for all living things has grown multifold. Dr Roopa and Anand are wonderful humans who take care of the animals here.

A great place for treating injured wild birds and animals. A very friendly and dedicated team led by Dr. Roopa and Anand Nair.

A NGO run initiative on a Forest department alloted land. No straight forward info available online on how to go to this place? You have to say to parking ticket collectors that you are going to rescue centre and not the zoo so that you dont have to pay parking charges. And also you have to call the rescue center doctor first. There is mud road besides the zoo wall near the parking lot and you have to continue to the rescue centre looking at the map. The parking security person will stop you inspite of knowing you are going to rescue centre . You have to call the doctor and let him speak to approve though it does not make sense.Other than the above hurdle the place is managed by enthusiastic people and the rescued animals are looked after very well there. Hope more resources are available for this centre.The gate is damaged probably by elephants and so you cant take your 4-wheeler in. So avoid reaching the place late evening as elephants are actively moving around the place.
