Batsmans paradise. matting pitch and nothing is there for the bowlers. Outfield is very fast and no grass present.

Its a moderate big ground..for both football and cricket...but there is barely any grass......its all dusty.....its beside the IISc Gymkhana......its circumference is around 500mtr.Its for the students of IISc but i think others cam also play here.....to book this ground for a day you need to contact the Gymkhana....

Well, grass would have been better. This red field is the best meeting place of many people with their passions, and many such similar athletes who have a good time playing their sport of choice.

This ground is only meant for IISC staff and student usage. Since IISC also participated in ksca group 1 club cricket, the ground also is open to club matches. Its a big and even ground with a matting wicket (clay) underneath. The ground has washroom facilities and the ground staff arranges for drinking water. It also has sufficient dustbins in place to keep the surroundings clean.

There are less grounds which are as BIG as IISC in Bengaluru. Problem is, the inner circle has too many stones which makes fielding a forgettable experience. Its a Matting wicket with a bit of variable bounce.
