An absolute disappointment! I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Please avoid it. One can get better hospitality for the same price.I booked the stay through a third party application. Based on the booking it said twin bed room with breakfast included, discount on food and a free room upgrade.While checking in at the front desk, we explained the same and the front desk denied saying there was nothing as such. I even showed the booking details on the application. After quite some time they finally decided to give us an upgrade.When we requested them for a luggage transfer to the room they asked us to carry our own luggage to the room. We got into the room and noticed that one of the the twin beds were broken, the bathroom wasnt clean and the furniture was dusty. Didnt look like it was cleaned or used for awhile.We asked for a room change and they got us moved to the very next room. The previous room did not have any back rest for the beds but this room had. The showers dont even have any holders for the toiletries. So much for maintenance.Most importantly we Did Not get the free room upgrade. Even when I checked with the front desk by ringing them up from my room they specifically said it was one category higher than what we booked. But we checked with other employees at the hotel and got to know the front desk at Chancery Pavilion had lied to us and pretended to give us an upgrade for their blunder.The breakfast also was pretty average and nothing great. The only plus point in the entire stay was the room service which was quick and upto to hospitality standards.Chancery Pavilion needs to look at their major maintenance issues & upkeep of their rooms.Front desk is also another area that needs to be looked into.

Never in my life have a paid 5.5 k of my hard earned money for a room at a Hotel and actually been compelled to choose to live with a friend during the tenure of the aforementioned stay.Felt more like a prison than a Room. Lighting was inadequate. The room was bare. Food was below par and prohibitively expensive for the standard delivered. The washroom didnt have the prerequisite amenities that one would expect even from a 3 star Hotel, let alone a self proclaimed 5 star Hotel. The TV was there as a namesake. Mostly all of the channels were not subscribed for.We had asked for a Smoking Room and on the face of it, it was one - except to say that no ashtrays were provided for anywhere in the Room premises. When we called the Reception and asked for the same, we were assured that wed be receiving one within minutes. And we didnt receive any throughout the night despite repeated requests.The Bathroom resembled one that would belong to an era of dilapidated grandeur. The Bathtub stopper got jammed at some point and simply wouldnt redeem itself.All in all, couldnt find a single positive element to compliment the service or the quality of the room experienced here, especially not in proportion to the price paid.To say that I was disappointed would be the understatement of the year.

Hotel checked me in and the room was not cleaned and made up, and front-desk had no clue of it. This is absolutely unacceptable situation for a 5-star rated hotel.State of rooms in the hotel is quite bad, bathroom fittings are old and don’t function properly.There is a smell in the rooms, hygiene issues, risky, especially after Covid.Authorities should take immediate actions to remove star rating for this hotel, it’s highly misleading to new customers.

This is a 5 star hotel for a name sake. The rooms were not clean and dusty .The front line staff behaves like a local highway hotel. They might have, much standard for welcoming guest to the hotel.We waited for 20 minutes to get the key and they asked me, extra money for having 1 persons for a double occupancy room and my check in time was 4 o clock in the morning and check out is at 9.30am. I asked them to proceed what ever they want and told them I just need to sleep for 4 hours and that’s why I’m paying 2500 rs .The reception guy waited us for 20 minutes to get the key even in the midnight and he was not polite .After entering to the room, the room was with foul smell and interiors were dusty and not clean . Even we found the dirty washrooms .Over all this hotel doesn’t deserves 1 star at all and dear hotel authority few suggestions for you1. please improve the quality of service2. Train your receptionist and staffs3. There is no security at midnight on main gate and their way of questioning is bad for any human4. Tell your employees to welcome your guest in a pleasant manner5. Repair the room locks and fault locks provides insecurity while staying in your property6. Toilets are not clean and always maintain good wash rooms for those who stays in your property7. It would be correct to say this hotel WAS a five star hotel. The hotel is kind of old I guess. The rooms are big, but restroom cleanliness is not that great. You could see patches all around the restroom, the towels were torn and old( better to say pre historic). You have a couch, a table, 2 chairs, a bath tub, refrigerator and nice bed. The linen in bed room was good. Even though with all negatives its still a good deal to stay here due to the location, cost and ease of access. We booked two rooms for little less than 5k and breakfast was not included. You could have breakfast in the in-house restaurant for an extra charge.

The hotel location is just great as it is in the main city area and u have lots of restaurant options in walking distance. The room is pretty big with decent furnishings. The service was all pretty good. The bed is not that big but its quite comfy. Overall for such a low rate i dont think u can find any other 5 star hotel in such a prime location.

Very good hotel for comfortable stay. Room was big and comfortable with amenities. Staff are very polite and happy to help. Valet parking is very good addon. Gym , swimming pool and other facilities are closed due to covid.

Very bad experience. The room provided were not the one that was booked. The room was not lit and in bad shape. Pest control smell was breathtaking. After escalation and waiting, Optional room provided and it was similar to the earlier room. We finally had to checkout and book another hotel.

An absolute disaster of a experience , Day light robbery is a word to explain the experience , apart from the damp and pan smelling rooms.I was travelling from coorg to Bangalore and spoke to the duty manger Yaseen for booking the rooms.We where a family of 4 ( 2 adults and 2 kids ) we where told that 2 rooms had to be taken owing to the policy , agreed and requested for the pricing 2800+ taxes was quoted , he wanted me to send a mail for confirmation (sent ) , i had received a confirmation approval for the request mentioning 2800+ taxes , And following that received a mail that said (2300+taxes ) for room without bfast and (2800+ taxes) for rooms with bfast .Checked in at 5pm in the evening and paid the amount based on 2800 + taxes for 2 nights for 2 rooms.The next day morning when we went for bfast , we where told that bfast was not part of the package, when enquired the manger response was the mail was sent by mistake the rates I confirmed are without bfast only.I only gave the room with WiFi - The irony was he has the audacity to say that yes we made a mistake on sending the mail , but we cannot give your bfast or the refund back . When requested to meet the general manger , he refused to put me through . And while mention that i would review the place , he had absolute no regards and said do what you want .Losing 2300/- was one part , the experience on the way thing where handled was extremely disappointing , apart from keeping the Cutomer waiting for close to 1hr at the front desk.Being part of the hospitality industry its a shame to see that people like these are kept on the front desk for customer relationship.Would urge the mangment to look into the matter.ThanksRegardsPraveen

Rooms were good. Bathroom, the shower was rusted and pretty old. There was leakage in the false ceiling. Maintenance is rather poor and needs to be improved for the rates. Breakfast spread and the taste was very good.

I am highly disappointed by the quality of this place.I booked in thinking of it to be a legit 5 star restaurant only to find that the place was filthy and the bathrooms matched the level of public toilets. I was also dissatisfied by the facilities included in the room , no cooler or fridge was included with the room. Overall I was truly dissatisfied by the services .

Staff behavior was pathetic, especially pravalika and the manager who interacted with us. We had conducted an event, the food was good but the conduct of the management staff was very bad. Very unprofessional. They make you wait for hours in lobby when you go back after the event to ask about the refund of the deposit they took. They were in the worse behavior possible. They really need better staff to interact with the customers. I hope they behave the same way they do when we approach to conduct the event, even when we go back after the event. I condemn the rude behavior of Pravalika.

We spent the weekend here. Extremely terrible facilities. The bath tub had paint peeling off. Some of the charging points in the room were not working. We developed rashes due to the poor condition of the sheets. The extra bed was super uncomfortable and kept stabbing into the back.Uncooperative staff, very slow service. We got allotted our room late, inspite of having made a reservation the previous day itself.Overall, a poor experience and I would certainly not recommend it

I went for this hotel on a weekend staycation for 1 night. Location is fantastic, but the room interiors and reception front desk behaviour were pathetic. Room seemed like from 1970, with no polish on the panels and bed sheets were torn a bit. The bathroom looked like a 2 star hotel. And the reception desk kept behaving as if they are doing us a favour by letting us stay there. Also, gym and swimming pool were closed, but no mention of it anywhere. Never going to this hotel again.

Am writing a review from an events execution team. The hotel is run down, we had a banquet event at the hotel on 15thAug 21, at the ballroom for dinner .1) Linen - pathetic condition , soiled and stained , had to make umpteen request to make sure its changed to fresh ones, unfortunately they removed the linen from the chairs in front and placed them on the chairs placed in the rear.2) The Bar counter was shabbily done , on asking the banquet manager to do something classy , he reply was , THE HOTEL IS NOT CASSY , WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT. These were his exact.words.3) No idea on the quality of food, as we didnt try anything .5) The deposit that was collected from the client was never paid back to them , they kept giving weird explanation not to refund the same . Finally, they said the event team broke their floor and lift after 48 hrs . On asking to share what was broken , no reply from the hotel . The client went back post the event to sort this out , they were made to wait for 45 min and some person calming to be from from the engineering dept came and met them and mentioned damage is done and they will not get back the deposit .Very unprofessional behavior , do think twice before you book this facility, by the way I believe it was also being used as a temporary covid centr

I had my engagement event with the hotel and the entire experience was pathetic… firstly each person gives a different pricing of the rooms..i had booked the club room where the room wasn’t maintained well and there was blocked sink … inspite of complaining repeatedly we where told thats the best they could do… the food delivery to the room takes not less than 1 hour… during the event the chairs and counters provided were very sub standard ,on asking the staff we were told that is the standard they provide…the behaviour of the banquet incharge mr. rithesh and mrs. Pravallika is the reason that no one would ever want an event with the chancery group henceforth.. we were charged damage expense of 5000 for no reason and on asking for the proof we were shown a cctv footage with no evidence and later on mr rithesh n Pravallika stopped responding to our calls… so please watch out before chosing this place… once the payment is made noone cares about the event.

We are very happy to share about our excellent stay at The Chancery Pavilion, Bangalore on 7th April21. I would like to give a special shoutout to Mr. Abhishek Kumar from the Housekeeping department.Mr. Abhishek was very welcoming. He even made sure that we got an early check-in as we had arrived in the city several hours before the check-in time. He even told us about the property in detail, provided us all the necessary amenities. He made our stay quite homely and utterly comfortable.On the other hand, we were highly disappointed with the restaurant manager of Alchemy (brewery). He denied us for the happy hours offer even though we had reached a few minutes before the offer closing time (approx. 3:45 PM). Had dinner at Ithaca restaurant with my family. Am very disappointed by the limited vegetarian options on the a-la-carte menu.Food tasted good, service was good too. Staff customized some dishes for our tastes. Some other dishes were served cold. They gave us complimentary ice cream, a pleasant surprise. Thanks for that! Valet parking is available. Standard Covid protections in place.Expected more variety from a restaurant that charges the prices they do.

I would not rate this hotel as 5 star property.I joined the property as chef on 20th May and had to run back to my home town which is in uttar pradesh .Because on the very first day saw rats roaming here and there , No cleaning and hygiene in the kitchen , every surface of the kitchen was covered with a layer of oil droplets. But somehow I thought Ill be able to maintain cleaning and proper hygiene in the kitchen as this is our responsibilityNext day I had to shift myself in the accommodation provided by the hotel , guess what ? I almost felt welcome, one feels most unwelcome when a welcome is said with no feelings.food is passable.rooms are spacious.bed matresses got me back pain. Room bar was a running fridge with nothing.. Hello hotel management u can save lot of money if u can switch off the empty refrigerator.. When you talk about good breweries in India it has to be Bangalore. Because Bangalore has so many quality breweries. Recently I visited this brewery called Alchemy which is on the terrace of a Hotel The Chancery Pavilion on Lavelle Road. It is a an intelligent and interesting Brewery. They are innovative in their thinking and comes up with variety of new tastes. For example right now they are serving real orange 🍺 as one of the products, since the orange season is going on. Similarly they have different fruit 🍺 as well. Which I feel is very good in terms of being original and different from other Breweries. They are having advanced Brewery system from Australia and that is why they are able to maintain their excellent quality. In my suggestion if you are a Beer lover please visit the place and let me know if I was right about my review or not. One star less because the location might be an issue as it is on the terrace of a hotel. Rest everything looked great.

Management needs a kick. It was my brothers wedding. We had booked the poolside area. All they had to do was stop strangers from entering. They were asked politely but management straight up refused very rudely.Random strangers kept walking in, taking pictures, smoking (one guy didnt even have the courtesy to go into the smoking room!!). Absolutely pathetic. Any other time wouldnt have been an issue. This was my younger brothers wedding - thus absolutely unforgivable. Im actually being nice by giving you 3 stars. Pathetic.

Good place to stay. Walkable distance to German Consulate and VFS office. Buffet breakfast was not great. Ala carte was good. Not much channels are available on TV. For a upscale place like this, that was not expected.

We booked a room, the check in was so annoying, staff is confused. Finally got the room, such old terrible rooms - sheets werent clean, bathroom wasnt okay! We left in ten minutes and our money went down the drain.

I booked a superior twin room as it is basic category room and all the other rooms were expensive and there was an option on the site which says we can choose large bed also, but after booking and payment done I got a mail from hotel which says since we’ve booked twin room so we can only get twin bed,no large bed. I called hotel and Pankaj was on the call he said he can’t do anything since we booked twin room, doesn’t matter we selected the option of large bed as the option was there. He said if we still want to stay in the hotel we need to stay in twin bed room. And if we want a large bed room instead of twin bed room we need to pay extra. But in the site where I booked the hotel it said we can change twin bed to large bed by talking to hotel staff. But hotel staff Pankaj said you will get what you booked. And also, we need to pay extra for same category room but only difference is one large bed instead of 2 different small beds. Never gonna stay in hotels like this with staffs like this.

We got some work at banglore and my hus work was prolonging and we have to extend stay @ hotels , we checked in 2 hotels their a/c was very bad .Hence I called to enquire about the room details and had a very bad situation, the person at the desk who picked up the call was manner less and very arrogant guy and yelling like anything just asking the room details.First call he picked and talking to someone else , 2nd call he told me holdon and disconnected the call and when I called 3rd time he had a very bad tone started shouting.Females will not be treated well in this hotel ,So please be away from this place .

Horrible horrible rooms. Like please dont go for the cheap prices its selling on. AND its not a 5 star hotel.The rooms dont have a shower area like literally no place for you to take a shower and the bathtub is a nightmare.The bathrooms are so bad you would want to check out ad soon as you use it. Girls beware its NOT hygienic and designed for a comfortable bath experience.Oh and the bed have BUGS!!!!!!!!!!

Pathetic....never ever come here...made us wait for an hour even though I came in need...my wife was pregnant even then they made us wait...front office people, security people harassed us at midnight...made jokes about my wife not being indian citizen...at this price, there are 100s of better options in Bangalore.
