Attended a friends’ get together here in one of the Party-halls. Good location. Food was good and so also serving staff.

The place is pocket friendly. Despite located in an area so posh.Service is a bit too slow. May be its due to the crowd.They serve okay food. No extravaganza about it.Chicken dum biriyani - no hype. medium spicy miriyani with generous qunati6 go meat. #withbones. Only raitha. No Salna.Fish fry - angal. Pretty dry. No chutney, no cause to eat it with. A few grated carrots. Average.Pomfret fry - this one is not a fry in real sense. Its grilled and tossed in butter. The essence will linger in your memory cells for quiet long. I loved this dish of the three I tried here.Good to Try it once? Yeah. May be.Would I come here again? May be no..They have Good parking space.

Seer fish thali in afternoon is perfect. Chicken manchurian is good. A nice ambience, with live match or TV.

A hotel for the high profile persons. It is no more cheap but the fish thali is too delicious. It has parking place. The bar cum hotel is at the basement. Reception is remarkable. Services are quick. The toilets and washrooms are awesome. After all it is a majestic hotel and bar. It is not a family restaurant but lone visit is better.

The atmosphere and place is just great. It has great customer service. Theyve added new dishes since the renovation. So the foods just amazing. Has good parking too.

The biryani had only backbone pieces of chicken, the veg thali chapatis were almost inedible....best avoided

Alampur is very old restaurant I have been going to. Its a nice place they do serve food well. Always old classics running in background. Less crowded. only the regular crowd knows this place. I loved chicken lollipop its a must try.

Had lunch today... Veg Andhra thali... Costs around 185 per head. Taste was good and dal/pappu was pretty good. Dry was okay today. Giving one star less due to okay taste of fry. The best known secret is that there are zero parking issues. Dedicated and huge parking area and easy to get parking. Immensely useful as its v high end area.

Nice little place on race course road. A unit of Chalukya but lesser known than Samrat. This place is located right next to Samrat in the basement. Serving Indian and Chinese cuisine (veg and non-veg) with a bar attached. Plays nostalgic hindi music at a low volume so that you dont have to shout when talking to the person next to you. It was a Sunday afternoon when I had taken my 6 year old daughter to the nearby Jhawarlal Neharu Planetarium. After the show we walked down to Chalukya to have lunch but being a weekend Samrat was crowded as ever with people waiting for a table. So we just walked over to the next building where Alampur is located in the basement and to my surprise it was not crowded at all. We had a quiet meal taking our time as there were no people waiting for us to finish to get the table. Friendly and well mannered staff. Service is quite fast. We had a few rotis with chicken masala and a chicken fried rice, which was pretty decent. Although the prices are a bit on the higher side, its worth it if you want to have a leisurely meal coupled with a few drinks, its a nice place to go. Unlike Samrat which serves only vegetarian food you have option of non-vegetarian food as well in Alampur and of course they serve liquor too.

Good Thali meals and other North Indian, vegetarian non-vegetarian meals available. Cosy atmosphere. Nice dining place near Vidhanasoudha.
