Very Historic and Powerful place. The Kalyani water is said to have medicinal values. The temple is right next to Bannerghatta National Park and there are some possibilities of sighting an Elephant herd in late evenings. You have to park your vehicles near Shaneshwara Temple and walk about 2km in the R.F limits. Quite adventurous walk. There are vendors who carry edible stuffs till the temple and sell. So please keep your stomach empty and do some business for those folks. The history of the temple is quite interesting, do ask the priest when you visit and he will be happy to tell you. There is Shiva, Nageshwara, and Anjuneya temple inside the premises as well. There shall be Jathre in the month of March and dont forget to visit here during Ramanavami time as they will remove the Kalyani water and do pooja to the Anjuneya Akruthi formed naturally on the floor of the Kalyani and replace the water. Last but not the least, please do not litter this place.
This is about 60 years old temple inside the Bannerghatta national park. You have to walk about 1.5 KM inside the forest behind Chambakadhana Narasimha temple. You have to climb the mount to Narasimha Swamy temple and walk behind the temple. After the Narasimha Swamy temple road is mostly flat and nice to walk and not much crowded. It was very pleasant to walk with birds chirping. Temple is maintained by mostly the locals around Bannerghatta and they come late and open the temples mostly by 11 AM. It’s a nice place for a short picnic, there were few monkeys so take caution if you carry any food items.
Temple with itz kalyani is almost a part of bannerghatta national park. Car can be parked at Champakadhama Swamy Temple. From here we have to walk through the forest area to reach temple. Its elephant area also as we got to see to see elephant poop in 3-4 places. The walk is really good and refreshing.
Kind of a tiring trek. Leads to a suvarnamukhi temple. Has a lot of history. There is a small pond that is associated with the saying that if you take a bath for a certain period of time, all ailments will be cured. Its just a saying, I dont know how true. But you can see people take a bath here. Good for short trekking trips.
Calm place with monkeysDont throw garbage anywhere
Good place to visit. Who trust in God.Who wants to buy a house
Want to walk in forest ? , this is the place for you, itll take 2 kms walk inside forest to visit the temple from Champakadhama swamy temple, Bannerughatta. Powerful Suvarnamukhi Anjeneya swamy temple is with kalyani, where you can take dip and swim. People believe this place can solve skin related issues if you take a dip in kalyani. Best days to visit on Pournami (Full Moon Day), Amavaasye (Half Moon Day), Saturdays and Sundays or Govt. holidays. Best time to visit in the Morning 6:00 AM to Evening 5:00PM. Cool place for treking
Its in the middle of a forested area and requires one to trek for about 30 mins on a relatively flat terrain. Along the way one can see lots of butterflies and other small insects. Once you reach the temple, there is a pond (Kalyani). The ponds waters are believed to have properties which can cure skin ailments.
Good place but you need to walk for nearly 2 kilometers.A big well is there for bathing and do darshana
Good experience n 1.5km from champakadamaswamy by walk through forest area
Trekking at your own risk for a ☮️ heaven of a divine temple. 4 temples to visit. Dont carry food because monkeys snatch away
Good place for a small treck and a devine place too

The Unknown, Heavenly, Gorgeous, no words to describe just Amazing place Suvarnamukhi Temple in middle of a forest is about 22km from Bengaluru, 4 km from Boothanahalli village. Till date out of all these 6 years of me exploring all the unknown place around Mysuru and Bengaluru, this is the second unknown place with such eye soothing nature which i have seen, just Fantastic Forest Bathing. One needs to walk through the trail which is next to Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple hillock (mentioned in previous post) located in Kalkere village to reach this place. The walk through the forest is refreshing at the same time need to be cautious as Wild Elephants and other wild animals are present. Hence it is advisable to visit this place during day time especially on Pournami (Full Moon Day), Amavasya (Half Moon Day), Saturday, Sunday and on Government Holidays as there will be local villagers visiting the temple to offer pooja. Late night visit is strictly restricted. People without kids visit here and pile up stones in a certain ritual way and believed to be blessed with kids. The Pushkarini, Kalyani or Mythical Pond present here, it is believed that the dip in this pond cures skin diseases and takes away the negative, curse. The pond is emptied once an year so that the rock at the bottom engraved with the image of Anjaneya is worshipped. This is the place where Emperor Janamejaya took bath and prayed, later tuned to a golden body after which he was cured from sarpa dosha (curse from the snake). Hence this place is called Suvarnamukhi. Also it is believed that a dog enter the pond and came out of village which is miles away from this place. Nageshwara Temple, Sri Veera Anjaneya Swami Temple, Shree Amba Bhavani Temple and Sri Bhavani Shankar Eshwara Temple, Someshwara Temple are some of the other temples present in this place, very blissful. My only request is that more number of people visit this place so that the good thar road which is currently closed now as part of forest protection can me made open with proper protection for people to visit in more number. Currently only way to visit this place is walking through forest and not feasible to all ages. Overall the mind refreshing nature beauty, ancient history and the blissful of this place makes it a must visit with Friends and Family
Best place for trekking and seeing animals at the mountains
Know for purifying your skin when you take dip in the pond. Its situated in bandipur Forest. Can not take Vehicles till the pond but the walk through the forest is worth. Mainly Hanuman statute is worshipped at the pond. Other than that, on the way to suvarnamukhi temple, one will pass through lakshminarashima temple too.

Great one day outing. The trek, the temple, the dip in the pool, all was awesome. Will surely visit again. The map didnt take us to the right entry point. 1.5kms from Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple behind the mountain, inside the forest is the famous Suvarnamukhi Kalyani. The water in this Kalyani is believed to have curative powers. Locals will tell you that a dip here will cure you of several diseases. This is the place where Emperor Janamejaya took bathe and prayed after which he was released from sarpa dosha or the curse of the snake. He also got a golden body after he had bathed in this pod. Hence, it is called Suvarnamukhi. He then consecrated the idol of Champakadhama Swamy (Sri Champakadhama Swamy Devalaya)The Pushkarini, Kalyani or pond is emptied once an year so that the rock at the bottom, which is engraved with the image of Anjaneya, maybe worshipped. After worship, water is once again let into the pond. You can start your trek to the overhanging hill either from the Champakadhama Swamy Temple or from Kalkere, a small village. The path will lead you to Suvarnamukhi Hill.#you can try in also #BHUTHANHALLI
