Great food and service. They can improve on the ambience. We ordered a Korean bibimbap bm chicken, there mushroom stir fry and a friend rice the food tasted really good with a wide variety of vegetables that complimented the dishes really well. The bibimbap was surely a good choice as suggested by the staff. The fried lotus stems were an amazing twist to the usual vegetarian main course. Must visit for asian on MG road.

One of the worst experiences I have ever come across.Looking at the reviews and ratings I decided to give this place a try.For those who are not aware, this place has 2 sections. One is the terrace where there is a DJ and its a party place, and the second is the dining area.To begin with, the terrace is a total chaos! Considering I dropped in during a pandemic, there was no social distancing, folks dancing with no masks. All in all very easy for the situation to get bad.Looking beyond this I decided to walk into the dining space as thats what I wanted. We sat there for a whole 15 minute with no person tending to us to even take an order. Even after the order was placed( its mentioned that the serving will take 15-20 mins) the food was served post 30 mins with no crockery & cutlery! We had to call out to the waiter repeatedly for cutlery.Now, about the food. Its bad! Its very bad. The quality does not justify the price. Its not served on time.There was only one person managing all the tables, the AC was dead slow and there was nobody who cared to make me feel even a little happy about choosing this restaurant.To summarise, this place is very pricey with nothing great to offer. If you are looking just to party and dance and can ignore the rest of the factors (which is mainly food) you can definitely visit this place. Else I would suggest you not to!

The ambience was quiet and nice. The team taking care of us were friendly and made some excellent recommendation with regards to the food.The food was very tasty and all ingredients used tasted fresh and enhanced the flavors. This place has great vibes, ambience and music all in one. Weekend nights are the best especially when there is a dj playing. Tao terrace is a completely open terrace restaurant which feels cut off from 1mg mall even though they are part of the same building. Techno nights are my favourite in Tao.

The terrace has a beautiful view and a pleasant experience. Its the best place at City where it is crowded extensively. The quality is good but not worth the price that you pay for each dish. Burgers are not to be chosen when we visit this place. Damn expensive place but it is the price that you are paying for the ambience and the location which is at the centre of the city.

My first visit to this place turned out well. I liked the aura and one of the standard pub to spend your weekend.The DJ night was total fun and closes at exact 1 PM.

If only I could give 0 stars. Couldnt stay long enough to actually get to the food. First it took them forever to clean some spilled water and then change cutlery and towels after repeated requests. The ambiance of the place is very peaceful, if you sit in the fine dine area. The terrace is more of a pub/dancing area.I have been to both, the service and the menu differs in both.The fine dine area is more peaceful and the hosts are amazing.We were having a problem with a couple of loud guests, as they were not only loud but berating the stewardess as well. So they changed our seating to a different side because of which we could enjoy both the seating areas.The cuisine is a mix of Indonesian and Korean dishes.Wonderful place. You need to let your bartender know how to behave with the Customers.. I believe the name of that bartender was jai. Throwing attitude on customers wont take him anywhere. They forever to take your order n serve your order. And at times on purpose they ignore your order. Low level service and third class attitude by the bartenders. I have been going to Tao since many years but I guess today was the last. We have got better places with better customer service

Angeline our stewardess was extremely helpful in selection of sushi for a first timer.Customer experience management could improve - we were asked to walk in the rain to the terrace area - umbrellas would have been welcome. Extremely poor service. Even though the restaurant barely had any tables occupied and there were more waiters than tables, they were disinterested to take orders or come when called. The dim sum and sushi were enjoyable.The main course was not flavorful and too spicy. The service too was lax.The drinks never came and we had to repeatedly ask for basic cutlery. The plates were not clean either.The dinner started well but was a let down thereafter.

They have an buffet (which costs Rs.550 + tax) in addition to the regular menu. Starters were quite good. The chicken soup as well as the fish was great. Main course was okay. Deserts seem to be their strong point. Overall good experience. Ambience is nice, although one of the sitting areas could do with better lighting. Staff are very engaging.

The terrace part of this restaurant has the most pathetic service. The manager is not wearing the mask, theres no hand wash liquid in washrooms in these time. And the plates have a layer of dust. Instead of that their fine dining is a better option for the price they are charging.

Ambience is good, service very slow and moreover you need to ask for each and everything which means you need to ask for spoon and fork, soup bowls plates etc. They offer buffet as well which includes mono and crispy vegetables for veg and for non veg they have one fish item and one chicken and you need to wait for ages to get seeved with your starters. Main course has less dishes but tastes ok. Opt this place only when you are left with no other option.

On my request they provided me with complimentary​ candle for our table specifically, and made the dinner even more special. The food was good and prices are reasonable for a place like that. We had soup, smoked pork ribs and noodles, more than enough for two people, and the bill was bellow 1500 rupees.PS: if you want to enjoy their terrace for drinks and snacks I would suggest you to go between Monday to Thursday. On weekends it is too much crowded. However, you can enjoy fine dine area any day of the week.

Me and my friend were browsing through the Dineout offers which were currently LIVE in the city and were planning our lunch outing. Again, since its lunch we need to make it real quick so we restricted our search to be in and around MG Road. 1 MG Mall was walk able and we decided to pick one of the many options the mall had to offer.The Tao Terraces seemed a little interesting, first its Pan Asian, and second it was close by and they had a wonderful weekday lunch buffet priced reasonably. We booked our table and walked straight through to the restaurant.The decor was authentic pan Asian, with a traditional big bright red door welcoming us inside the restaurant, you get to see some interesting lanterns, pagodas, meditating Buddhas and other Asian artefactsWe were one of the first customers to walk in just about before 1 PM, and after the customary welcome, we got seated and told our hostess our choices from the Buffet Menu. The interesting thing about the buffet here at The Tao Terraces is that they dont have the spread already laid out. Your choices from the menu gets prepared fresh and reaches your table just out of the wok. Its interesting because, this way you dont stuff yourself with everything that is on offer, your choices gets prepared in smaller portions, if you need more, the chef gets more ready, the food reaches your table hot and most importantly little food gets wasted.Jumping onto the food, we were delighted to start with a warm soup, I opted for the Thai hot and sour spicy vegetable soup. One of the best Thai soup I have had in Bangalore, much better than what some of the Thai places around here had to offer. Enjoyed their Thai fried rice here after many days of indian cuisine. Definitely taste pretty home cooked fried rice and satisfied my mood. The staff is average though compare to the few restaurant here in the mall. The price is definitely affordable for their wide of cuisine.

I had gone there with my friend and was planning to celebrate her birthday there it was on 6th April 9pm the bartender was flashing at my friend ... It was such a disgusting thing . The authoritys should take strict action against that bartender

I had requested for a candle light arrangements and in the name of the arrangements all i could see was one candle lit on the table with no other decoration!! It was suppose to be surprise candle light dinner and turned into a blunder. Food was average, the quantity and the charges were not in sync. A normal 1ltr kinley bottle costed 95rs along with charges lol i wonder if the water was fetched from a parallel world or what.

Do not go to the restaurant by the reviews here. I did go by seeing this reviews. Worst experience ever in a restaurant. First of all, the reservation was for 6.30pm, they opened the restaurant after 45 mins, when we called the restaurant nobody bothers and did not pick the call at all. No intimation about the late opening. Staff was rude and they wanted us to leave from there. Booked a reservation to enjoy the Christmas, everything was ruined.

Terrible service. Even though the ambience and music was great, I couldnt stay there for even half an hour. I ordered a drink at the bar three times and nobody gave us our drinks. On trying to call the bartender, they were literally looking away and ignoring me. After 20 mins , I had to shout so that I could be heard, upon which the bartenders were laughing and yet my drink was not served.

The Food just hits the spot.Liked the Shanghai dumplings, the rainbow sushi, tom yum soup. Better versions than others.Loved the Khao Suey. Absolutely.
