A must visit for every traveller to Manali......Located amidst beautiful mountains of Manali with the cold sweeping all over your body compensated by the warmth of this place, offering a beautifull view of the nature.The outdoor seating is always in demand and generally there is a long waiting list to get a table!! There is a separate photo spot on the left at lower deck to capture oneself with the surreal landscape in the background.Talking about the ambience, nature and rock music is a perfect combination for this place. There is live music too on specific days.Food : we had Pasta, Pastry and a Hot Chocolate!I have never tasted such a heart warming hot chocolate ever before. It was one of the most contending experiences of this trip......

To experience a great scenic view of the mountains along with the river flowing alongside it with a beer and fish and chips was something else in Manali. This place offered that and more in Cafe 1947. Great river side place to experience some good food and even better selection of rock music (if you like it). The service and food were really great with the option to smoke hookah and enjoying the scenic view. My only complaint from the establishment was the relatively small portion of the dishes that was served. A good place to spend time with family and friends on a lazy day.

River side cafe with the best music in Manali. If you are a party person, you will feel at home in this place. There live band performance on occasion. There is a lovely story behind this joint which is a must read. Food quality is excellent and pricing is also decent. Its a club on the Mountain!

Well, yes we went in with a lot of expectations (anyone would look at the reviews!) and oy would be fair to say we were quite disappointed. If you are someone who values ambience and location more than the food then this place might be for you. Also, location is good only if you are sitting outside by the river- but there are limited tables and we managed to sit there but we were made to move citing rains as a reason. But when we moved in they continued to serve people who came later and sat there 🙄(sigh).The water I asked never came but the food did. Coming to food, very average well below the price range if you have visited other cafes in Manali (old Manali/ Mall road), the presentation is good. The burger, was something you will get in cafe that just assembles it for you ( read store bought patty-The Corner houseon Mall road had so much better chicken burger with a juicy patty)The Hot choclate was bournvitta, come on ! best things we had was fries. We suffered so that you dont have to, so please avoid and if you absolutely have to come make sure you come when there is live music !

For all the glitz and glamour, the food is bang on average (to put it mildly). The pizza sauce was sweet and had no flavours at all, the burger was super dry (who uses mozarella cheese for a burger!!!) with store bought patties and cold cuts, the cocktails are way too diluted, the starters were also a disappointment - overall, nothing in terms of food that I could recommended.Live music scene is good out here and the only positive.

Worst!!!! Way too hyped for what the place is. Good points-location& ambience. Bad points- pathetic customer service, I mean if you reach early from the time they open they won’t open the gates(still okay) and if you that you would like to reserve a table till you wait the staff would tell you- ‘can’t help, first come, fist serve basis’, absolute boring music and boring environment; and oh the food absolutely rubbish. I ordered chicken noodles and had a hard time finishing it I mean a non professional cook would make much much better noodles than what I had. I am never ever going back here neither recommending it to anyone.

We visited this place as we had heard of it from many people. The ambience and the location of the cafe is mesmerizing. However, customer service and hospitality can be worked upon more! For food we had veg au gratin lasagna.. The taste of this dish was good but the quantity was very less compared to the price.You should visit this place for the beautiful view it offers!

Situated at a beautiful location if you manage to bag a riverside seat. I say manage because there are just 5 tables and they prefer to allocate it to larger group. We were 2 so even after requesting it many times, we were not allocated riverside seats. We also noticed that they preferred to cater to those larger groups more than us. We had to ask for our order many times before it was served. All in all, a good restaurant if you are looking for urban cafes in Manali but coming from Delhi, there wasnt anything much fascinating (again, if you dont have the outside seating).

Poor Service and Attitude Staff. A local small vendor can give much better taste then this cafe. Over hyped. Never trust any review... Just try to go once and then you will never go xD The owner thinks that the river side theme and dark rooms can bring customers but doesnt know that chefs should also known how to cook food... !!! Continental food is really good ,not the Indian stuff we had ordered for biryani ,twas just a bland gravy and rice mixed ,pizza was amazing staff and customer rapport could have been better one staff was very rude when we asked him to serve the food on our plate ,he bluntly said we dont do that here

This cafe gives the best view and one of the most premium experiences in Manali. Funny there are 2 cafe 1947s on google maps.The outdoor seating is scenic and cold while the indoors feature good music and even live performances on some nights.They have a huge variety of food/ drinks and taste wise 5/5. Good serving sizes too. Though it’s expensive

Amazing ambience, but the food is very okish. They have really proved that with attractive plating and smart assembling of food one can even make premade frozen snacks look like a five star cuisine. I would personally never spend exorbitantly on frozen/ retail packed food. If youre in town do try the Irish coffee, its not to be missed for hardcore coffee and liquor lovers.

I have tried approximately every meal & drinks from this cafe.The taste and the hospitality are brilliant.Serve freshly made food and drinks to the customers.The music and the Band are fabulous.Having some jamming sessions are going on.

They brought the wrong food. What else... We ordered spagetti with white sauce but it came with no sauce. The other food was not good. They watered down the watermelon juice. The AC was not working. Bad food, bad service, even the chairs were uncomfortable.Happy to hear when you have improved. Wishing you the best in improving your bussiness.

Its a great place to go have a beer with some friends. The location and view was great along with very decent service and all the food came to the table quite fast. But the food was extremely average and didnt warrant the prices they asked for. The burger was good the rest of the food was below par. The three stars are only for the staff and location. I hope the place changes its playlist as one can only listen to a certain number of John Mayor songs in one sitting.

I remember I went to this place when it was too crowded, I thought I had to wait for hours but to my surprise, service was too fast and food was really good! No manali trip is complete without visiting this cafe ;)

The food was blant.We tried several things from the menu, everything was lacking with either salt or spices.We ordered three different types of pizza, which were tasteless. We ordered several drinks as well, for which the waiter came 3 times to change the drinks because they didnt have ice and lemons for virgin mojito and fresh lime soda, for cold coffee they were out of ice cream.All show No go cafe.

Its an amazing cafe located in New Manali, at the bank of River Beas. Even during the summer, you can feel the chilling air passing through the glaciers water, and river Beas. It is a worth visiting place. A bit crowded and sometimes you have to wait outside for your number.

Worst ever services. No doubt food is upto mark. Hospitality is average.. but 1 incident i would like to share. We came here to spend some quality time for which we order 1 sheesha and we asked couple of guys to sit in open area to have some coffee, pizza with sheesha and everyone denied us that we are not allowed to sot outside which is fair enough and thought they have some policies. But couple of families came after few hours and they are allowed to drink or have sheesha outside on terrace. This is totally unfair. When we asked the manager or staff everyone was lying and no is accepting there mistake rather they are busy arguing with a strange look.. poor hospitality. Wont visit again..

I visited today, i saw about this café in some videos so thought this would be amazing and went but to be honest i am ok with food and the view, but the staff is pathetic, they dont bother about you and you feel like you are just left and also even if you try to ask something they just ignore you and leave from there.. now i really feel than this type of over hyped and attitude wale staff café you can just visit local café in mall road where you get decent respect as a customer

I do not understand why this place has so many bad reviews. Hahaha, probably because of all the biharis haryanvis and Delhi and Punjab people who think they can get what they want just because they have money.I went there yesterday, the staff was nothing but nice to me. I wanted the river view seat which was unavailable at the moment because they were all occupied. They requested me to sit anywhere I like for a bit and that theyd inform me as soon as a table is free. They did inform me in a while and that went smooth.As for the food and cocktails, I enjoyed that as well. My favorite part was the sheesha, because, while the menu says please dont ask for more than three coals the reality is you do not need more than 2! (which they provide in the first round). Really high quality coals, I huffed and puffed for 2 hours continuously and I didnt require a change. Thanks for making my last night in Manali amazing!Ps: they have a cute dog too.

Ordered white sauce pasta. It was totally bland, like no salt at all. And no I am not exaggerating it. When we asked if they forgot to add salt to it they said thats how their recipe is served. I mean seriously? No salt at all. Felt like eating batter of flour and warm water.

Pathetic experience. Server was rude and was not willing to even listen.Chilli garlic fries: 1/5. Putting garlic powder on fries does not make them garlic friesNoodles: 1/5 bland and tasteless. Specially asked server to make them spicy obviously he ignored our preference.Aglio a olio: 2/5 garlic was not burnt, again ignored how we wanted to add some chillies to it.Jalapeno cigar rolls: 1/5 these should be called cheese rolls. They put a PICKLE on top of each roll and call it jalapeno rolls. Preparation was so unlike its name.Cold coffee: 3/5Latte: 4/5
