I just recently heard our PE and music department teachers have left school. Honestly I cant think of any school cheap enough to let go of some of the greatest teachers. Im sure our cheap money minded principal wouldve not given them their salaries. Also our school was the greatest when it was Benny Joseph as soon as Jerry George became principal our school has been going down hill.

Hi, I’m a distraught parent who was willing to pay 6 years’ fees in advance ( Advance Fee Model) as asked by the principal Mr.Jerry Thomas ( some sham initiative by him).Due to the present pandemic situation, I asked for sometime to make the payment even though I had agreed to pay half the amount immediately. Mr.Jerry refused to give me any time and in fact accused me of deceiving him saying that initially I agreed and then backed out. All I asked for was some empathy during these trying times. But Mr.Jerry was too thick skinned to be persuaded. Pity, he claims to be a Ph.D.

Is other faiths and religion children are allowed here and will be treated as same? I am planning to admit my child to this prestigious school, Please clarify me in this regard. Thank You!

Clarence used to be a great school - Values + Academic Excellence + Bringing out latent potential in the kid. Great leadership under Benny Joseph. Saw the students and teachers reach great heights. Benny Joseph did an excellent job of strengthening the foundation. NOT SO ANY MORE ! Current principal Mr Gerry George is a DISASTER ! Unable to inspire the teachers nor the children. Shaping childrens future is god sent especially when hard working parents have entrusted the future of their loved ones. Unfortunately the high standards which used to be the DNA of this school has now been sacrificed ... Cronyism is rampant. Invisible forces at work. Sad to see this well admired institution fail in the hands of a completely ill equipped leadership. This is still one of the BEST SCHOOLS in Bangalore provided it goes back its original values. Wishing the students and the teachers great success on their noble journey.

Good School, old world charm and style. Premier school hence getting a seat is not easy.Disciplinarian and focused on academics and spiritual building. Scripture classes are mandatory for all and it could be an issue for people of other faiths. There aint no better place to send your kids if you are Christian because of the deep emphasis on biblical learning and music. They have a good basketball team, but lag behind in other sports like football, hockey, cricket. No swimming pool.Good set of teachers.

I applied online on Jan 2nd 2017, first day itself. No updates from them even after several attempts to check on the status. We are only allowed to meet the watchman in the gate who kept on saying they will call for interview and I had to wait. Only on March 3rd, when we called they didnt respond properly and asked us to check in the websitefor status. On the website they had the status as Not selected. I needed to know the reason that my son was not selected. So I went to meet the Principal Dr Jerry George, who is a very arrogant person with no respect for people. He told me that the government is asked him not to call for interviews and he simply cant select every one who applies. He tells me he is selecting the poorest of the poor children which is a lie looking at the other reviews. He also told that the government has asked not to select bright students. When asked if selection in the school was based on lottery system, he tells you can consider it that way. I also asked him if he wants any influence to give me a seat and he tells me influence will not work.I didnt want any influence for my son. I only ended up paying Rs 500 for the application which is a total waste. I am happy my son didnt get a seat here. I do not know what morals they will teach him.Is it not the schools fault if they issue more application forms for money? He told me it was my choice of wasting my money by applying here. Probably my fault. Please dont loose your money by paying for admission form if you are middle class.

The school is not as great as I thought. The interviews to the small kids are done as if they are interviewing to fill the vacancy for a big corporate office. They should be aware that the kids are just kids, they cannot expect the kid to be more disciplined and intelligent for U.K.G. section. Now a days kids are hyper active, they expect the kid to be seated at one place without moving here and there. Bad experience so far with the school.....

Shamless on admission process. Religion minded people.I tried admission for my son for the academic year 2019 . We filled the form and paid sum of Rs 500 online . The school issued more than 300 forms. We were informed the admission process will start from 20th Feb2019 onwards and will be called on for an interveiw. After 20th since there was no update I had to walk-into the school directly and saw few parents were on interview process. When enquired further I received a rude behavior from the school staff and she shouted at the watchman for letting the parents inside. She replied me stating we have to wait in a rude manner. After 2 weeks we friends received a msg from the school sttaing the admission is full and will not be able to admit our son.We were neither called for the interview process nor valid reason was given for the rejection . Later we got to know the school had shortlisted the christian students first and were called for interview. If the school teaches religion on the first admission process wat would be the childrens future learning.I am thankful to the school for not considering our application form were they consider religion on priority. But I want the 500 Rs which was taken has a admission process from all the parents to be refunded if they are not worth following the right genuine process.Shame on this dirty insane school .

My only daughter passed out from Clarence and it was an event which brought tears to my eyes . I had seen her grow from kinder garden all the way to class XII. To summarize her journey - the first couple of years were memorable ... Lots of great formative experiences shaped by legendary teachers like Mrs Sinha ( whose welcoming smile was a source of great energy to my daughter) and Mrs Moses ( who was strict outside with a tender heart inside ). She also took a liking towards books thanks to the exhibitions which happened during parent teacher interactions. Her last 2 years were a little stressful. I could notice palpable tension - I tried approaching the prinicipal Jerry George to discuss a few issues. He was completely inaccessible. I can understand he is a busy man but giving 15 mins to a concerned parent would not have hurt him. My personal impression of him ( and I must say I am biased by the negative experience ) is he is an extremely egoistic person. Since I had to find a pathway, approached certain teachers. I could see a completely different energy in the teachers as compared to the earlier person. There was a fabric of fear which hung over their faces. It has had huge psychological effect on both students and teachers. Mr Jerry George, am sure you are a wonderful human being. If you can be less egoistic and less authoritarian it can do wonders to your school children and teachers. Hoping our prayers would be heard and good leadership takes precendence in the school once again. God bless angel like students and the intrinsically motivated teachers who do a great job in-spite of a misguided leadership

Clarence High School is a minority institution founded in 1914 by the Redwood brothers, Alfred and Walter. and named after their own school in Somerset, U.K. The founders vision was to provide a sound education based on Christian principles which would result in an all round development of the student. It is to these British missionaries that the school owes its distinctive philosophy, which is based on and summed up in the words from the Holy Bible- The reverence of the Lord is the beginning of Wisdom. Therefore, in keeping with the vision of its founders, Clarence High School strives to inspire its students towards moral integrity and character development, giving them resources that will endure throughout life. The pursuit of academic excellence has always been a major thrust, while the facilities provided ensure that physical development is realized. Besides, our students are exposed to an array of co- and extra- curricular activities giving them every opportunity to realize their potential.A major step taken in faith has been the opening of a Special Needs Department in June 2004. A structured learning programme by trained professionals provides a loving and challenging environment where children with special needs are helped to develop socially, emotionally and intellectually to the maximum extent possible. Mainstreaming of these children, wherever possible, is a special feature of this programme.

One of my dream school. For me it was dream come true. At the age of 10 i used to play with cycle Tyre running around this school. Though i wanted to study i this school - we were not well off financially that time and hence my parents put me in other private school. My dream came true when i got admission for my daughter from Std 4th on wards until today when she reached 12th std. Though we may be having better schools - but the discipline and quality of education and care given under the current leadership of Mr. Jerry George is commendable. He has taken extra efforts to take care of students particularly girl students to make sure the school surroundings are safe and threat free. I wish Clarence Management extend beyond 12th std and add career degree colleges so that our children can become good human beings and well behaved citizens.Dr. George, you are doing a great JOB and we pray for your health and we wish you to continue this great work. As parents - we offer you our unconditional support to further promote education, discipline and security in Clarence High School. God Bless Us All.
