Barkas.! Its more like bakwas where was fooled by rating of 4.2.!So over rated -They managed to provide the worst of all food that Bangalore could provide. Mandi had biriyani rice, easy to fool people who never had mandi before with more of mutton bones than flesh.Chicken shawarma is knock off version of kati roll where instead of kuboos shawarma we got raw onions, capsicum, and lot of ketchup & cream wrapped.Mutton chaps was uniquely bad! With mutton chaps dipped in coloured corn flour! Alfam was another sham where it seems like a boiled chicken fry than the authentic charcoal grilled that we ordered for.The only thing that was above Our expectation the bill

Hi. So let me begin with stating 0 rating for the service and the 3 star is for the good food alone. This place claims to serve authentic Arabian food. I havent tasted the authentic Arabian so will not get into the authenticity part here. Talking of the decor - it has floor cushion seating and has been given a Arabian touch decor. Liked that as well. For starters we ordered Turkish Grill, Malai Chicken and Lamb Chops. The Turkish chicken was fine. Malai Chicken was delicious. The Chicken and Lamb pieces were so Tender and Soft. For the main course was Mandi Biryani. I personally am a spicy masaledar Biryani fan so I did not really enjoy it but others in my group liked it and ate to their hearts full. Also ordered their special Shawarma which was very very good. A little more juicy would be nice.For the vegetarians the Panner starter was a MUST ORDER dish. The biryani had the same rice with Paneer. The Roti and Paneer gravy was just Okish. We were probably full by then to really like something!Coming to service.. I probably would not like going here again because of the BAD Service. I could see the place was filled in and delayed service is fine because they had too many customers to serve. But being ignorant and throwing attitude is unacceptable.The Place could work on training its staff and providing more options for beverages. (Juices werent available on our visit).

After seeing a lot of positive reviews about this restaurant. I got a chance to visit this restaurant with my family and friends.It was crowded due to weekend. I got seated after waiting for arnd half an hour.We have started with Mutton shorba, Lamb chops, prawn butterfly and chicken tikka. Mutton shorba taste was good we got the nalli pieces as a part of the soup. Chicken tikka was soft and tasty too. Lamb chops was also fine but the meat portion was less than expected. Prawn butterfly was good but it had more onions, tomato than the prawns.Then we moved to main course with Arabian mix mandi rice. It has flavoured rice along with chicken BBQ pieces, Chicken Al faham pieces , one big piece and three small mutton pieces. The flavoured rice was good with cashews and deep fried onions added extra taste! The spiceness was medium so the kids was happy to eat it without any issue. The quantity was good enough for 4 people. Fish and chicken portions quantity was good and tastier. But the mutton portion was very less comparatively with more of bony pieces, it could have been better.Then we have ordered Single chicken BBQ Mandi rice and single prawn mandi rice. It took bit more time to serve it. Chicken BBQ mandi rice had nominal quantity of BBQ chicken leg piece and good amount of rice. Prawn mandi rice had less quantity of prawn and good amount of rice. Taste of chicken bbq and prawn was good.Then we have finished with dessert like lassi and sunrise orange.meat portion in starters is less and felt the items bit over priced. Mutton portion in arabian mix mandi rice was less and it could have been increased. Staff was courteous and kind, but the time to serve is way too long even for the dessert like lassi and orange juice.Overall we had decent experience at this restaurant!

Food is good. Quantity served in Mandi is ok but not enough for 4. They definitely need to work on their service and responsiveness. Food was served to us after 45 minutes. With children getting irritated due to hunger, it was not a good experience due to delays.

Im sorry but I had a rather disappointing experience here.While the ambience is by far one of the best I have seen in India for an Arab restaurant. The food left a lot to be desired.Having been brought up in the UAE, the one thing that in my opinion, defines an Arab restaurant is their khubus (arab bread), hummus, and shawarmas.They didnt have khubus today sadly. The shawarmas were average. And the Hummus was strangely dry.Maybe it was an off day in the place, as I too had come at an odd time with my family (4:00 PM-ish).The hospitality and ambience were great!But I have to be honest, I expected better.Yet, the reviews and the ambience have left me open to going here again sometime!

It was a really different experience with all of us having to sit down on a cushion. The ambience was really good except for the smell which is too much perfume and feels a little suffocating. The food was pretty good compared to Indian standards of Arab food. But I did not like it too much after having grown up in an Arab country. There is sufficient parking also.

Visited this Place for Lunch on a Saturday. Its located on the First Floor with ample amount of Basement Parking. Its an Arabic theme restaurant with food options other than Arabic dishes.Should Definately Try Mandis, Arabian Fish and Caesar Salad.As its an Arabic themed restaurant, the ambiance is also set in the same way. The best part about this place is that it has more sitting area where you can sit on the floor and enjoy the food that way. Its a new restaurant, therefore, its clean. They also have some tables where you can sit if you dont like the first option.The staff is really polite, and well aware of the menu. Even though, its a new place, the waiter to Table ratio is good. Both the Kitchen Service and Table service is really quick.

Thay should change the title to Bakwaas.. had worst food ever. Nothing is original arabic as the menu/ restaurant says.. foodie folks please avoid this place.

Had arabian cuisine food. The food was delicious and yummy. They have two types of ambiance for dine in. One is regular table chairs and other is the arabian style. Mandi here is amazing. I had tried mix arabian thai, it is sufficient for 5-7 people depending upon appetite. The staff here is friendly and sweet. The hotel is located in first floor, but the entrance is not so pleasant while walking upstairs. Overall the good place to visit if you are looking for authentic Arabian resturant.

I am a big fan of Arabic food but never get places which serve authentic Arabic food.  Finally Barkaas gave me that authentic taste and feel. The place is on the ORR and so close to my house, which makes it even better. The serve amazing Shawarma roll which is called the original Shawarma other than there is a Mandi platter, it is mainly Arabic style Biriyani and Kabab, but the way it is presented is amazing. The ambiance is also very beautiful it gives you a feeling like you are in a palace of Arabia. The mock tails were also very refreshing. There is both chair seating and floor seating. The floor seating is very comfortable and you should enjoy that.Things you must try:*Hummus with Falafel - The Falafel is very crunchy..!!*Arabian Special Fish - Must try for fish lovers.*Mandi - its is a must must must have.

This arabic cuisine restaurant is like a jewel in the necklace, it has amazing ambience with some nice view and delicious food.I tried their -:Falafel with Hummus - as soon as the Falafel came in their aroma just stung my nose and made my taste buds curious, it was a bit dry on the inside but the Hummus was amazing.These aromatic falafel will absolutely give your buds an urge of tasting it, the hummus was delicious too which was topped with a splash of olive oil and a small piece of kale. The falafels could have been a bit more seasond on the insideShwerma - they serve the original shwerma which is served in some special kind of bread other than pita bread.Mandi - they have a special kind of dish in which they serve the dish in a humongous thali with the choice of meat.Caesar salad - This chicken salad will bring your health and cravings together. The dressing sauce was quite rich and a bit tangy while being properly seasoned, the chicken tasted fresh and yummy.Arabian special fish - This fish had the best texture, it was soft and tender with a crispy crust which worked quite well with it. Served with some in house secret sauce and topped with some cilantro its definitely worth a try.Sodas - This aerated drink will give you the cool and fresh experience you are looking for.It also comes in a lot of variety of flavours such as black current, green apple, Blueberry and vanilla.Overall I loved the food and the ambience was just great, would love to visit again.....

Arabian style authentic food, You have option to sit on Cushion Mattress and have food which is mostly practiced in Arabian countries and seen during Mughal era , you do have Normal Table and chair aswell but cushion mattress makes the restaurant unique.Coming to food Starters are really good, If you are in group then try for barkas special mandi thali which includes Biryani, fried fish, chicken dish, mutton, Gravy, Raita which is sufficient for 5-6 people .

Barkaas is a great place to visit with family and friends. Beautiful atmosphere, lovely, comfortable seating arrangement. Visited this place once and loved it at first sight. Though it was getting crowded but since it is spacious, you dont feel it. However, food is what you go here for which is very average and prep takes a lot of time. Mandi seems to be a common food item being ordered as there are huge plates seen in all the tables. If you have enough time and dont mind waiting this is the place for you. Mandi is ok ish but anything else you order is below average. But average food with a decent cozy place is a good combination.

Had been to Barkaas Arabic Restaurant on a weekend for brunch. Just Awwed at the Arabian themed ambiance. That amazing seating area with huge hookah pots and pretty lights gives you a feel that you are in Arab. Lovely music. Friendly staff. Tried the below food:Original chicken shawarma : This is supposed to be the original shawarma of Arab which is very soft and tasty.Mutton Shorba : Perfect way to start your meal. Loved the spices used in shorba.Ceasar salad : Marinated fruits along with Shredded chicken.Arabian special fish : One complete fish marinated and fried. Very tasty!Chicken fahm Mandi : Mandi is an Arabian dish where chicken is roasted in Tandoor and rice is cooked separately and the Mandi Masala is added to it.
