The place is extremely unhygienic, the cashier nor the waiters were wearing a mask. Ordered for Chicken Kassa and Garlic Naan; Naan was brilliant but the chicken Kassa was served cold and to top it the chicken has feathers left on it and thats it there was no way I was going to eat meal here. Very disappointing to see how they have no value for the foot fall they have post the lockdown while so many restaurants right round them have shut because theyre unable to survive out here.
Lazeez, serving authentic Bengali Biryani, amazing Katti Rolls n many more delicacies for more than 2 decades...Love the Chicken Katti Rolls here...Food @ lazeez deserves 5 stars but the ambience king a lets it down.
The authentic taste never fails to amaze me. I remember going here as a child and the chicken roll tastes the same as it did all those years back..How ever I did have to wait for quite a while before I could relive the taste from the past.. That is the only reason for 4 Stars..
Value for money and extermely friendly staff. Food is amazing and the wait time is also very less.
Kolkata Biryani is a must have. Tawa chicken with Nan is also good.
Tried their mutton seekh roll and chicken Kolkata biriyani. Excellent taste and quality. Price wise it is moderately high compared to their Kolkata branch. But the food is worth having.
Even before knowing what a Kolkata style Biriyani is, I have been a big fan the Biriyani from Lucky Restaurant in Mumbai. That joy of discovering the big fat potato buried deep inside the Biriyani is not only fun, but a reminder of how cultures across India are very similar. I am from the south & we dare put a potato in our Biriyani. However my mom would never make a Mutton curry without adding a few potatoes, & I believe that’s how an authentic Kolkata style Mutton curry is made as well.Between my trips to Mumbai (which are not very often) I get the best Kolkata style Biriyani right at home when upon request wifey found the recipe of Lucky on a old edition of times, online. But whenever I speak proudly of this to my Bengali friends, am always given references of great Biriyani’s served in Kolkata & in a few places in Bangalore. {Lazeez} is one such place that tops the list of recommendations. One fine day, I decided to try them, just to see how close they are to the Lucky Biryani, Mumbai, but most importantly how better it is from what’s served at home.I know am treading a dangerous territory, however I swore myself to be honest or at least hope wifey never reads this review. After ordering the Chicken Biryani for a takeaway, I did manage to order an extra portion of the biriyani potatoes. Now to the verdict, loved the Biriyani, it definitely lived up to the hype it generated & I could truly understand why any Bengali would end up here while missing Home style Kolkata Biriyani. The flavours were subtle, but strong, the chicken wonderfully cooked, the sweetness of the onions permeating through the rice, it was absolute delight to know that you get something as authentic as what I sampled in Lucky, Mumbai. However, I would still rate the Lucky version and the one made right at home, slightly higher than Lazeez. But hey, am not going to stop with the Biriyani, there is so much to try along with the Biriyani & a visit is definitely pending with family.Till then, my quest for a replacement to Lucky, here in Bangalore will continue by trying out other places for that Authentic Kolkata style Biriyani.
Taste of their dishes is quite good (especially Chicken Rolls or any other Tandoori item) which keeps 1 star.BUT the service got really worse over time and yesterday’s experience keeps me from visiting again: It started with a rude placement to a table without any greeting. When asking for a glass which was also given to other people, they demonstrated their care for cleanliness. I was given a dirty glass having an insect inside. I informed the staff immediately and expected an excuse as well as a replacement of the glass. Neither happened - they just took the dirty glass and disappeared...unbelievable
Ordered delivery thru Swiggy ...The chicken was burnt ...2nd time this has happened ...am sure they dont serve burnt food at the restaurant but reserve it for home delivery bcoz one has already paid and cant do much about it ...shocking really !
Very nice place to have authentic Kolkata biryani..we were 9 people in the group...we had mutton biryani, rayta, mutton kasha & mango firni..the teste was really good...after long time we had proper Kolkata biriyani in Bangalore... the only thing they dont give boiled egg in biryani. ...service was prompt..loved the place...thank u...
Ordered the following- Mughlai Chicken Biryani, Mutton Biryani, Chicken Tikka Kabab, PhirniMughlai Chicken Biryani is worth the money, both quantity and taste wise. Mutton Biryani tastes decent too. The Chicken Tikka Kabab was a tad bit disappointing, lacking taste and a bit overcooked. The phirni was not as it should be, much thicker like jelly and tasted a bit more sweet. Overall, good experience. Good for a heavy lunch.
Taste of food has deteriorated drastically. My last few orders were completely horrible in terms of taste. I had given them enough feedback however they are least bothered
Excellent food and great place to go along with family
This is the place where I had my first Bengali Biryani, it was totally unplanned to visit this place until my friend (Bengali) noticed it while we were going to a different restaurant. I enjoyed the biryani very much :)
They serve mughlai cuisine. They make best rolls in Bangalore, it is a must try. Located in Koramangala 5th block. Naan and tandoori roti are a must try. Parking is a problem.
I used to crave for Lazeez food. Weekends was mostly Lazeez food. Its a good place for Kolkata biryani and Mughlai food, prices are reasonable but a bit on a higher side. In the last 3 years, the quality of taste has gone down a lot. Recently I did go again as my spouse liked Lazeez food a lot. This time she also accepted the fact that the quality has gone down considerably. We asked for 2 plates of shami kabab, the dish was not served till the end we finished. We had to ask why it was not served, and we were told that it happened sue to computer system mistake sometimes. When told that we have already finished our food and cancel the dish now, the staff said that it cannot be canceled as the system has already updated. Not sure what was the confusion, but found it very rude conversing with the person serving there and at the billing counter.I would probably not go there again. Thanks for whatever you have served for the good times earlier. But Lazeez staff have stated messing up the things around.
They put on a awesome tatse on table. The service was also good..
Mutton biryani awesome...superb
Best kolkata biriyani in bangalore
I have been eating here since I came to Bangalore in early 2000s. I am never disappointed
Its a Jerusalem of Bongs in Bangalore for Biriyani.
Posted in 2016 - Decent food at good price but no parking.Posted in 2019- Had been to this place after two years and had to take away one star, as the staff in the restaurant is tooooooooo slow.... Probably had been at lunch time on Saturday afternoon - that might be one of the reason of lethargic staff. One more star taken away - Second and astonishing view was - saw 7 cockroaches while I was waiting there for 15 mins.Guys eat at your own risk. I have placed the order and plan to throw it away.
If you want tryst with Kolkata Mughlai food, this is the closest youll get to the city of joy in Bangalore. Love their Chicken Biryani, Chap, and Qorma, Murgh Mosallam and Mutto Raan -e- Kebab. If youre a Vegetarian their Paneer Lehsuni Kalmi, Paneer Makhani and Dal fry are must haves
From this place, ordered 4 Chicken Biriyanis for Sunday dinner with friends - through Zomato. Got worst Biriyani of the earth. Potatoes, that is supposed to be a delicacy of Kolkata style Biriyani - was half boiled....it was so hard inside that we could not eat it. Chicken was like rubber. Even after chewing for a while, it was just feeling like chewing gum and you cannot swallow it. We had to throw those. Complete waste of money and Sunday dinner enjoyment. Would not order again from here.
If you are looking for Kolkata style Biriyani, this place wont disappoint you. But the same doesnt apply for rolls.
The quality of food has gone down day by day. Its no more that tasty food to crave for
Biryani is good
Super kolkata style biriyani
One of the best restaurants to have Bengali style biriyani, that being said u have to be near by Koramangala, HSR or BTM layout
Biryani lovers go for it..very tasty but service is not good at all
Amazing food, very tasty at reasonable price. Its no frill seating arrangements. There chicken roll, biryani, tawa chicken is good
If someone loves biryani..this is the place to be with no second thought.
We wanted to eat Bengali style Biriyani so we visited this place on 1st November, but we were very disappointed .....We ordered egg chicken roll, mutton Bhuna roll and mutton Biriyani...except the egg chicken roll rest of the items were poor. Quality and quantity both were disappointing ...It’s a small place with few chairs and tables but becomes smoky and stuffy when they prepare food down , so better to have parcel.
Very neat and clean and delicious food every time thank you.
Tasty bengali biryani
A small restaurant but serves large portions only. Everything starting from a chicken roll to their speciality, which is Biriyani, all are served in enough quantity that you will definitely feel full after a meal. Standard procedure followed while cooking. Thus you will find the same taste, which is awesome, everytime you visit the restaurant. Takeaway facility available. Try out the Khuska. Mutton and Chicken Biriyani are out of the world. The kebabs and the rolls are all very tasty. Chicken Rezala is awesome but not available on all days of the week. Opens by 12pm in weekdays, a little earlier on the weekends. Easily visible on a one way paved road with roadside parking. No wheelchair access. Ambience and ventilation inside needs to improve a lot.
Good biriyani and chicken chap. Kolkata style taste. Paisa oosol.
Goto to this place if you are visiting for Kolkata style dum birryani , mutton chap and roll. People who have tasted Kolkata birryani from Arsalan will like this. Prices are moderate. Mutton birryani is 220 RsThe restaurant is just next to Tunday Kababi near Kormangala. There is no AC available. There are three similar service areas. Do not take parcel as they quality of food will go down drastically. My picks. Mutton birryani, Mutton Chap, Lacha Paratha and firni( This is a must as it is really something different ).EDIT: On a third visit. During a power cut. Their generator did not seem to be working. Do not take a parcel. They do not give good quality food in parcels.
Lazeez is famous for serving some amazing rolls, tandoor starters and Kolkata style biryani. Good for non vegetarians. Good place to try food.
Food is good as always
Food quality has been degraded drastically in last few years. Place is completely unhygienic and hardly any customers visiting this place for dine out. Since they get mostly orders through Online, they arent focussing on food quality and hygiene. We get cockroaches in our food. Surprisingly when we complaint about the issue, staff was very cool while mentioning Will get you the new one. Undoubtedly this was my last visit to this restaurant. Dine out there at your own health risk.
Very bad condition, I am visiting this restaurant since 2006. Stupid stuff members delayed service biryani is no more the same.
I am frequenting this place since 2005, and have seen its transition. Most of the old staffs are no longer there. Though the food is extremely tasty I would like to point out the hygiene issues which is often been overlooked. you find small cockroaches everywhere (I am referring to the dining area only), imagine what dilapidated condition the kitchen might be in.. The place needs an immediate Pest Control.

Lazeez fully and tasty
Lazeez as the name says very very tasty food. All non veg dishes are good in taste, Non-Veg dishes are served here are Chicken and Mutton. Like Biryani, Kebabs, Tandoori, Spicy, Light spicy, Grill chicken, BBQ etcIts a good place to enjoy food with family and friends. Service is good and well maintained place.
The food the very good. Must try the rizala (only weekends) and chicken bharata. However, the ambience is very poor and so is the service. Difficult to find parking in this area.

Rolls are good
Mutton Biryani was really tasty :-P , it was Saturday we went there. And mutton roll was also yummy . It seems that dishes are more tasty on weekend days. I will recommend to visit there more often on weekends.
A very good place.. Basically people who love non vegetarian should love this place..You will also get vegetarian cuisine also.. You must visit this place once.. Fast service.. Good staff..Reasonable price.. 1500 for 2 people.
Food is very good. Both vegetarian and non vegetarian dishes are delicious. A good place for family dining. The service quality can be better. There is a reluctance in work among the staff members.
We ordered Mutton & Chicken Biriyani for takeaway, it was superb
Good and rich food. Calcutta flavour in most dishes. The quantity has become less over the years but taste has stayed the same.
Bengali type foods available but not spacious only small groups can enjoy , food quality and quantity is ok
Food is good. I have not eaten a better chicken roll of egg roll in Koramangala other than this place. Food quality is good but the cost is too high. Good for a outing with friends
High Price with average taste. I ordered mutton biryani which costs 260 Rs with only 2 small pieces of mutton which was average in taste.
Best Bengali style biriyani in Bangalore. Ambience not up to the mark, hygiene could have been little better. Courteous staff.
Very good food... However hygiene needs to be improved.. there was a dead Cockroach stuck to the menu card...picture attached.. this happened today..
Nice Kolkata style biriyani available here!
Very bad food quality... N quantity also... I had ordered egg roll and chicken roll.. Both were very bad in taste... Super oily.. N dry also... Too spicy..... There is no sauce in any 1 of these rolls... Very bad.... Very poor... You must look into your food quality.
Nice staff and value for money for the food you get. Must visit place in Koramanagala👍🏻🙂
Great food. But too oily for senior people. They do not accept telephonic orders even if assure them of pick up of the order in say 30 mins. They do not rely on customers, because few customers cheated them by ordering huge parcel delivery on phone, but finally the customer did not come to the store to pick up the order.
Was my favourite place once upon a time, NW recently I tasted their egg roll n its lost the magic.
Very nice.. taste is super if anyone like lacknow style or kolkata style biriyani...other items also good
Good old Lazeez. Great food and the taste always been the same
Agood ambience, quality, but in lonely place...that was my review earlierMy review after visiting today (16/11/20) about this restaurant is VERY WORST KIND OF RESTAURANT it has become, mughlai food or what kind of food was served I cudnt feel, was it a biriyani or what I could not understand, request people to avoid the current lazeez
Went there as per the reviews from Google. Nothing like great taste of food. Biriyani was ok types but cant be compared with bengali biriyani anyways. Most interesting part is the staff behaviour. Initially felt from his behavior that he is going to pay whatever we are eating. Lastly, came up with the bill that to incorrect. Parcel charge was added in the bill. We didnt pay the parcel charge as the food was packed in my stomach. So not recommend from my side but can try once, who can say you may like it.
Worst experience not just once but thrice. The service is pathetic. Very bad attitude from staff. Not even bothered if the customer is waiting for a long time and even if you leave due to a long wait. Food is good. Good only for take away.
Never had such a bad food at such a high cost. Tasteless, effortlessly cooked, and dont get me started on portion size.
I went here today. Its absolutely non sense. I regretted sooo much after having my lunch over here. Kushka no taste at all, and chicken kebab. They have me four piece even after telling them to give a good piece. They have four very small that too other parts of chicken which I didnt eat. Very very poor service. The staffs over there dont know what they are doing. I will never ever in my life will go there..... :( And guys if youll dont want to spoil your mood while having food, plz avoid going there... Very very very unhygienic... Full of dust on the dining table and on the menu card. Its not a hotel. Its something else...
Lazeez serves authentic Bengali biriyani. The taste is sumptuous with potato and egg. The quantity of food is sufficient for one. The starters are decent and the firni is a must try here.
Excellent
Food is still good. The ambience has gone down & looks shabby and dull. The place needs to be urgently renovated. Not a very charming place to have food with your family members
It is authentic bengali biriyani and taste is awesome. Just the hyegine would have been little better.
Was craving to have Chicken Chaap after I tasted it at Arsalan in Dubai, unfortunately did not order after looking at what was available at Lazeez.Had the Chicken Biryani and Mutton Rogan Josh, both were average, I used to frequent this place long back and the taste here was amazing especially the Biryani - Unfortunately the standards have dipped and its not the same anymore. I really had to convince my wife to go to this one - will not take such risk next time though...The rolls were great when they had an outlet in Commercial street but thats closed now.Still looking for that authentic Chicken Chaap.
Had chicken rezaala, chicken tawa and their chicken biryani...all superb!! Their breads are awesome too!!
Missing Kolkata Biryani and chaap? Just drop by and lazeez wont disappoint you.
One of the early entrants to Koramangala,Amazing Lucknow kind of food, forget cholesterol issues & enjoy.Definitely worth it.Have been going there from the time they opened.
Good food but seating and cleanliness needs to improve
Good Calcutta biryani
Good and quality food.
Never ever been to such a worst restaurant. From service to food quality. Everything was bad.
Best
Really like the Kolkata Style Rolls. The Biryani is also pretty good!!!
Kolkata style- great rolls, sometimes the biriyani is good as well. Love the potato in the biryani
Biryani is so yumm..rolls are also very nice
Being a bengali, I miss the Kolkata biryani with aloo but lazeeez brings home closer to heart. After a hard days work, the mutton biryani with the quintessential aloo and the mutton chaap is what a bengali craves for and lazeeez fills the gap. Kudos for keeping the awesome taste of Kolkata (almost) intact in Bangalore
Good place but you need to pay for even one slice of onion. So be prepared while asking for it. Nothing is complimentary here.
This is the best place to eat North India non veg food. You can see clear distinction of taste between north and south curries.
