This is Indus River view from source area in Gilgit Baltistan. The following river side is at Chillas and Skardu (Pakistan). Indus River also calls here as Sindh River and Abaseen.

Lovely place for picnics and to see historical landmarks. Cold water gives you food feel in summer. Running two different color water side to side, one is coming from Sarhad.Good place to visit along with family and spend some valuable time. River rafting is available and you have option to choose based on time/distance. Looking at the water waves and listening to the flow is a memorable experience. Best time to visit is June to August as weather is moderate and ice/snow melts on hills farming more water to river. Path to actual spot has been reworked recently hence no challenges even during rainy seasonThis is the place where history literally stops. Ruins of forts, baradaris, graves and bridges from the past great conquerors reflect the importance of this single point in the history of subcontinent. The glorious conjugation of two rivers who resist change in their colour under the effect of the other for many kilometres is magnanimous.Loved it......d view, d nature, d cleanliness around.....everything is awesome......tourists go there to experience river rafting also......i personally liked d calm n quiet environment that this spot could give u for some alone-time.....it could b chilly though, carry scarves or caps for spending more time hereA beautiful place to visit however the road leading to the bank of the river is not compact and if it has rained it gets muddy ad well. Excellent place to come with a group of friends/family can experience Boating as well. ❤️🇵🇰❤️

Indus river skardu is good for family visit

River is the friend of all. People drink the river water. Farmer uses river bed and its water for agriculture. We use the water for electricity. River water is used for the industries. The river water brings silt and depositions in on the field at the time of flood. Sometimes the river washes away all. Many creatures like crocodiles, fish, frog, snakes live in rivers. Now the water has been polluted. So , we must keep the river tidy and clean.

Natures beauty

Its good for refreshment and picnic but not too much beautiful. Specially in the summer season when it is full of water. But I like its scene in the winter season when it is not full of water. The pictures attached are taken on Sunday, July 19, 2020.

One of the longest river in world and longest and biggest of Pakistan. It crosses the n5 road near boundary of Punjab and kpk.at that point water is clear. Beautiful view.
