Awesome place for a half day trip. We went by bike... Trip was excellent... Also trekking experience was very good. Although, Keep a water bottle with u because height is so much and wear good shoes...Go during the morning l, you will experience lill but of cold and fog also which will add charm to your journey.

Beautiful place. And an amazing treaking spot

Dont go if it is a sunny day. I am not sure how it would feel during sunrise. It may be a good point for that. Drive from Bangalore is good. Parking space is there - not paid. Be light for the track as it is not a track but a giant rounded stone. I didnt go to the top but pics will give you a decent idea of what view to expect from top.

This place is good for people who are adventurous, It is medium level rock trekking, Basically climbing a rock mountain. And dont forget to take water bottles and wear proper sports shoes for gripping on rock.

Very nice spiritual temple, udhbava murthy of lord Narasimha

A very vibrant temple with a big Narasimha idol. Said to be a self formed idol.Worth visiting once. But the crowd management is very bad. The queue just doesnt seem to move. When I went and it was crowded probably because it was a Sunday. Cleanliness was poor. Approach roads are good both via Mysore road and via Magadi.

Its a very good place. Nyc temple with a near by mountains and while going there you can see a dam with a lake view and a temple and a mountain. Its a whole package with so many things in one place. Even there a park which is sooo good. So u can plan your day, but keep up with the timings as the temple closes at 3:00 and reopens at 5:00 and closes at 7:00.So, plan your day like visit dam, later the temple and climb the hills and in the last you can visit the park and even the road way to the temple is amazing. Its a beautiful road way with trees at both ends and curve road that make a addon to the trip. So plan a trip go safe and be safe.

Moderate trek place and a beautiful scenic station within 60kms from Bengaluru. Worth a visit and the climb to the peak takes about 2 to 3 hrs. Most of the so called trekkers will be seen with there friends or family. The hill is pretty steep and will surely test your strength of your lungs.

Loved the place and trekking! Yes we did trekking! It was first time visit at this place. The journey to the place was lovely, part of stretch is through jungle, should visit to experience the adventure. Temple looked very old, dont have idea of the year it was placed. Aprt from temple, one can do trekking. We did too! Trekking took us 1hr 45 mins to reach the top. At the top u ll have serene view of lush greenery and view of manchanbele dam. View is seriously awesome. For trekking, you do need lot of stamina n part of stretch is steep and its risky (for beginner level). Be safe have fun! Enjoy

Nice place to visit and for trekkers. Situated around 50 km from bangalore and road way is good. Best time to visit is Oct to Feb ... Please dont take very small kids with you. Bcoz climbing is little bit difficult. But did finitely you will get a good exp and good view from the top of the rock.

Well maintained place..main god is most powerful and build by a stone naturally.. bottom of the hill load narashima temple and top on the hill has also narashima..the hill has very slippery and slope so. Be careful.

Savandurga monolithic mountain is one of the best trekking place available near to Bangalore.- Its situated off Magadi - Ramanagar main road around 60 km from Bangalore- LakshmiNarayan Swamy temple is present at the base of the monolithic rock.- Trek starts from small trail at the diagnol opposite corner to the temple.- Trek starts with steep rock climb and same continue through till the peak.- We wont get any eatables on the way during trek, please carry water bottles and juice along.- we will come across many fort walls and also some old temples while trekking.- At the peak there present a Nandi temple giving an awesome view of all forest greenery sorrounding the mountain.- we need to start the trek early morning to save some energy as it will be sunny during afternoon.Happy trekking.Please dont litter

Lakshmi Narashima Temple very old one built by kempegowda

Beautiful and serene gateway from Bangalore. Its a nice trek spot and there is the machina Bella dam close by which is also a great place to sit and watch and do basically nothing. Trekking is of moderate difficulty. Roads from Bangalore to all the way to the trekking point are good except for a few short patches and of course the mysore road traffic is as painful as ever. Villagers are good too and very helpful. Do enjoy the snacks available There if for nothing else at least to support the local tourisim market there.

Nice temple situated roughly 70 km from Bangalore. Its a good weekend drive. Better if you start in the morning by 7am or early before it gets sunny and you will be back by afternoon.

I have been here from past 15 year, our grand fathers God is Sri lakshminarasimha temple, 15 years back everywhere greeneries and full of forest, now everywhere Buildings Im very sad to see and in the hill full of plastic bottles no one bothet about this in future its very dangerous, Im requesting forest department to look this.

This is a nice temple with two entry or access to the premises. This temple is very auspicious because of the belief that the Lord narasimhaswamy has take the form of rock or boulder and is been growing in its form. This was the main reason that temple was built around it and now its being worshipped along with devi Mahalakshmi next to it in a seperate temple. We get flowers, coconut and other relevant pooja items near the rear entrance. We also had bhel puri while leaving. Very tasty! Good experience.

This temple is located at the foot hills of savandurga. Narasimha swamy is udbhavamurthy. Best time to visit is during monsoon, full of greenery

If you are a nature lover and wants to see the massive single rock mountain with an interesting nearby Savandurga village with most of the buildings are marriage halls.Post this village towards left there is a tracking track where one can climb to peak of the rock. Avoid trekking here during the high wind and rainy seasons. May take 3 to 4 hours from village to back, plan accordingly.Before reaching there from Bangalore Mysore road, one will be passing through short natural forest, which will be a different and small experience. If you like to feed monkeys, take Bananas.

Excellent place. It was not crowded, as it was weekday. Nice place to see and enjoy the calmness. The Narasimha Swamy seems to be ugra, Lakshmi his consort is in a different temple besides. Good parking place available. One has to be careful with monkeys.

Temple is good, God is very powerful. but archkas performing archane, sankalpa other sevas is not satisfied us in both narasimha & Lakshmi temples. we should visit Virabhdra temple its nice in every aspect.

I have been twice to this place in the last 1month. I really enjoy the place. There is a hill to hike. The view around the hill is really beautiful. You can have the best experience only if you are there by 6 AM.I also like the temple. Its unique.
