Looks awesome, but its closed !! its a restricted area and not advised to tresspass ...its a forest and not meant for cycle rides or walks, although it would have been great to build a path around , being in centre of the city. wonderful road with forest on both sides. in high winds you can see the long bamboo make creaking noise...its like the story of jackal and sour grapes :)
Hey guys, we visited this place today(14/3/2021) . To be honest this place is very beautiful ❤️ we had wonderful experience . .Guys let me tel you. its PROHIBITED to enter. We were lucky to trespass . But We were warned by the forest department not to come here next time. If you just want believe the Google reviews and search and go there like us.. U will be disappointed . Go at your own risk👍
Good place to spend morning time for walking or fresh air
Lovely road with beautiful forest on both side of the road. Very good place for cyclists. Traffic is less.
Awesome area..... But the security gaurd was the main problem... Was not allowing to take photos.... And he was drunk
Known as the Hennur Bamboo Forest this place is not very easy to find. I was expecting to be able to see the forest from at least a few hundred metres far, but this was a nicely hidden treat. I cycled along the criss-crossed paths and could hear the creaking of bamboo and the rustle of leaves along with the calls of peacocks. If you just stand still they may even be brave enough to walk close to you.
A good place very silent and very much down to nature
Dear friends, I am a resident of Marasandra village, our village forest has many features, very beautiful forest, perennials, rabbits, deer, wild boars, different species of birds and various kinds of fruits, as well as the temple of the turmeric God. Yes, and our forest is divided into Marasandra, Jyotipur and Mandur villages which are approximately 1000 acres.
Nearest Jungle near Mandur, best place for cycling
Awesome hidden gem , filled with nature and trees
Very nice and beautiful place, & its located near the Bagaluru...
You wouldnt expect to find fresh air so close to Bangalore. But you do here. Go very early in the morning to enjoy or for a jog. Days in summertime will be hot.
I went this place on weekday, it was so quiet and lonely. Can see peacocks flying around. The place is good who loves loneliness for a while.
Good but only for cycling
This is the start point for Hennur Bamboo Forest Ultra Marathon. Race distance range from 10k for the noobs to 250k for the crazy runners! This event is not for the faint hearted - route is flat but weather can be extremely hot during the day especially between 8am and 6pm.Its is easier to approach this place via NH44 take the right turn between A2B and Decathlon. Its is about 11km from this point and takes about 20 minutes by car.
Need to maintain some greenery and to plant more trees... Good place for trail running n cycling.......
Lovely place for cycling
Good place but it is banned for outsiders !
Good place for running buddiesGreat to have bamboo surrounding while runningNature trail
Public is not allowed. forest department staffs are taking money from public to take photos that is ridiculous.
Its a restricted forest and there are no boards/signs. Nothing interesting inside.Of youre still curious take permission from the office over there and have a look.
