The place is well maintained. does not have any entry fee. the place is clean. the lake water has some algae in it. many birds are in the lake vicinity. the entire walk area around the lake is magnificent. the childrens play area could have been placed near to the entrance. poor kids have to walk close to 2.5 to 3 kms just to play in the play area. for toddlers it is difficult to walk the whole stretch. they could have cycle for the visitors to cycle around the lake area. there are no shops to buy. take your own snacks and water if you are going with kids.its a very good place. must visit if you stay near to the airport.

Nice place for a walk. This lake attracts many different birds and the pedestrian walkway around the lake is maintained well. Great place to go for a walk. There are two different entrance gates at one gate you’ll find an area designed like a band stand which was used pre-COVID times for classical music events. Hope the BBMP will continue to maintain this lake.

Beautiful, large lake covering over 160 acres, well-maintained through citizens initiatives. Has a proper walking path around nearly 70% of its perimeter. Islands in the middle of the lake make it a great spot for birds to roost and the lake has recorded about 200 species of birds sighted here, over a period of time. Enough number of stone benches for that rest after a long walk or jog. The addition of childrens play equipment and traditional games near the South Gate makes it even more interesting as a place to take your kids too. Lots of flowering plants attract a large variety of butterflies, dragonflies and damselflies. A variety of habitats ensure a large number of bird species.

Nice wonderful place...Cool and clam...place for cross country excercise..Walking pathway is also good...But if u r following Google, ensure after crossing the railway track, dont take left for main gate, if u r planning for a walk... Move forward on the same way for 300mts... U will find the gate...

Good place for jogging or walking. We can take a walk around the lake. Vehicle are not allowed inside. There are so much of weeds grown near the banks so we cant get a legs down on water. The place is open till 6pm.

When we want to go back there is no convenience to go back ...But its okay sometime its also good to face problem.

The best place to have a walk around the lake and its the biggest lake of Bangalore and well maintained lake by security. Many photographers also come to take pictures and Sunday you can watch kathak talking place here.Timings are 7to 10 and evening 4 to 7pm. Ganesh visarjan is also done here.

Loved this lake, very beautiful, well rejuvenated, jogging tracks, lots of seating structure to get a very good view of lake,Lots of birds and animals in the lake, kiya of ducks swimming in the lake, a full treat to eyes for nature lovers, very good for bird watching.Lots of plants in the lake vicinity, full greenery, lake entry is free.One end if the lake water is not that clean, as there is jakkur STP plant at the north end.But still very good lake for jogging, and nature lovers.Very peaceful, very less people coke, not over crowded, ans safe also.

Peaceful and serene lake so near to the city which still managed to have clear water. The lake was revived couple of years back and been used for govt run fisheries department. I think this is why there is some inflow of cash for maintenance, There is also a STP (sewage treatment plant (STP) in the north of the lake. A pathway along the perimeter, an idol immersion tank, a boat jetty and islands for migratory birds is also there.For years I have been a regular visitor. This is an ideal place for cycling, jogging, walking, meditation, bird photography. An walk along the lake perimeter would be around 4km. The best part is there are not much crowd, even on weekends. If you are a nature lover then you can sit there for hours feeling the gentle cold breeze and listening to chirping of the birds. This lake is a paradise for Birds - most commonly you can spot Brahminy Kite, Parakeets, Kingfishes, Coots, Herons, and Cormorants. Also, migratory birds arrives during Sep/Oct and they leave by Mar/April.Tips: if you are someone who loves fish, you can purchase fresh fish if you go in the morning. The fishes are sold to merchants from city markets.
