Had a fun time watching beautiful colorful fishes. There are lot of varities and species. Only thing to improve is : aquarium glass needs cleaning. Overall it was good.

A very nice place to see various fish varieties. There are couple of floors in a circle format and fish tanks are along the walls. Most of the tanks have fishes with lots of varieties. I would say this is a 20-30min place and not more than that. Tickets are very reasonably priced at 10rs each.

This place is very good with almost 50+ varieties of fishes. Can be visited once. Plan to visit the cubbon park as well which is next to this place. But parking is not there for 2 wheeler.

This place was just awesome.... We got to see varieties of fishes... You can also visit vishweshwaraiah museum which is near to this aquarium.... So that you can have best half day enjoyment🤩🤩

Different fishes are available in two storey building. It will be nice for school children. Entry fee for adult is 10 inr. Special concession for the school children with valid ID proof...

If you are in the neighbourhood, you may visit this aquarium. But there is no need for you to go out of your way to visit here. There isnt much to see.A ₹10 entry fee will get you into a dark circular room, surrounded by small/medium aquariums. A staircase will take you upstairs.The fishes...well...are colourful, and of different sizes and shapes. Some can swim backwards. Some are tiny. Some are just lazy! The sting ray caught my attention. That was cool.The place is poorly lit, which I think is intentional. The maintenance is average. I did not see any staff inside. Just the Ticket Counter staff outside.

A nice place with good collection of fishes.. Not very neat.. Some of the tanks are empty. Maybe due to covid, the tanks have not been maintained. Can increase the entrance fee and use that to promote and maintain the place better.

The government aquarium is in a corner of a road with trees around. A ramp is provided in the entrance. As you enter you can see the aquarium in a circular shape with a staircase in the centre. Railings are provided around the aquarium but no ramps to reach the first floor. The place is too dark, no openings are provided and no lightings. No cctv which States that there is no security. It is not clean, the entrance fee is 10 rupees but can we increase and made the place better.

It is ok ok type place. When i visit . I m the only who visited bcz on both the floor only me and my tanahi is present 😂. 10 rupee entry cost. Dont visit plz 10 rupee ka Kurkure kha lena

Good place to visit on weekends. Especially kids will enjoy. Quit a good collection of fishes are presented here. Though we couldnt find a Dory fish 🥰. The environment around the aquarium is very cool, lots of eatables youll find near by. Also, take care of parking there are cops waiting to snatch your vehicles by making the no parking board completely hidden, its hard to locate..

The aquarium is decent and would take 15 to 30 min to cover. Government needs to improve and develop it further to make it a more attractive and interesting.

Good Place For Kids, Super Experience, Beautiful fishes inside, Different kinds of fishes are there, With very low entry charges of Rupess 10. You should buy ticket outside itself. Building consists of 2 floors, in 1st and 2nd floor you can see variety of fishes, Go with kids it will be amazing and joyful, You Can find Very Small Shark fish too, Cat fish, elephant headed Fish And All.

Good place for childrens and aqua lovers

Glory of old Bangalore in a sorry state now. Superbly located with a potential to be an amazing outing option to kids. Though the place is maintained fine, it needs some capital investment to upgrade the infra. The multi storied building can be redone to be a 3 level aquarium harboring lot of entertainment.

This place is good to show different kind of fishes to kids. My son was so excited to see those. They have a very few collection I liked the silver fishes and long nose fish(which looks like an alligator). Few are regular fishes which you can see in any aquarium shops. But it needs some regular maintenance and more fish collection.

I took my 7 year old to the Aquarium as an educational trip, she was excited to see the different varieties of fishes so the trip was successful. However, I do feel that the aquarium lacked maintenance - the glass tanks were dirty and few had scratches which made it blurry. There wasnt proper lighting along the path way or on the staircase. The fishes and their variety didnt disappoint me, but the state of the place did. I hope the right amount of funds reach this place and make this a want to go place.

Government Aquarium is located in Kasturba Road, Shanthala Nagar Bangalore. It is also being referred as Bangalore Aquarium and is the second largest aquarium in India. The Aquarium is located at the entrance of Cubbon Park in Bangalore, India which was established in the year 1983.Have been here couple of times while visiting Cubbon Park and firstly I feel that the Aquarium is not maintained properly for sure. Wish the management takes good care of it by renovating it. There are total two floors inside the building. Visiting hours are from 10 in the morning till 6 in the evening. One can compete seeing all varieties of fish in an hours time. The entry fee is 10 rupees per person.There is still an opportunity for the management to work on the loophole and convert the place as an attraction amongst the locals and the tourist.

Government Aquarium is good place to visit. U can cover things within an Hour completley. Not too many species are available in aquarium. But, Available species are good... and entertains even 🤣.. I had best game with one of them. Entrance ticket is 20/- Main thing is Dont park ur bike outside this place. Traffic police just lift it off and later u have to suffer hard... (personal experience 🥺 paid 1.6k) Park ur bike in Parking area....

Nicely built and is the best place to visit for children and adults. This is near the cubbon park .The entry fee is Rs 20 per person. It is double story building with fish varieties. Government has done its part in maintaining it for the public. It displays the perfect information with all the necessary details. Recommended for children and travelers.

This is a typical run down Government run attraction - one with great potential but with zero maintenance etc. Located at a central location, this aquarium should have been a main stop on the tourist circuits. However it has been reduced to a relic from the past.The architecture of the museum is quite interesting as is the ramp that winds its way up to the entrance. The displays are all quite disappointing and do not interest even the casual visitor.The selection of fishes do not seem to be logical and/or as per a plan. Its an eclectic mix. The staff here are quite friendly.I recommend a visit to remind oneself of the 80s and early 90s. The fish in display is an added attraction. Admission in INR 10 for each adult. Children under 5 get in free.

Very nice aquarium with vivid variety of fishes. The two storey aquarium comprise of big and small fishes. My wife and daughter both enjoyed by learning about the fishes. Place is quite dark and suffocating. Located adjacent to cubbon park you wont get disappointed and get what you wanted.

Absolutely waste of time, the fishs which are here can be seen in almost all the local fish stores, 10 rupee might be a small amount but then the time spent here is not at all worth it. Only cash is accepted here

It’s a good to visit and watch the different species of fish.

This place can do huge amount of improvements in their infrastructure. Currently small fish tanks with very common fishes are kept for display which can be found in lot of fish selling shops. Size of tanks can be improved to accommodate big fishes or more quantity of fish types which are not commonly available. This will result in attracting more visitors. With current ticket price arrangements are at par however to improve as a popular and satisfying tourist place serious turnaround required and government should increase entry ticket price if required to implement these changes.

If you got time in Bangalore, can spend some time for a quick tour for bangalore government Aquarium. The ticket cost to enter the aquarium is very cheap maybe the size of aquarium is not big and under government so the cost is cheap. The Aquarium only have two floor, so it only take about 15 to 20mins to complete the tour.

Mostly crowded place people who visit the Chinnaswamy stadium and park will definitely visit this place. This place needs a proper maintenance and good lighting so that it will attract more people to get into it.

Im a pet lover. Visited today with excitement. But, there is now proper maintenance and not there that much verieties of fishs. Indias 2nd largest aquarium. It should have more verieties and good quality fish. Aquarium room housekeeping is good. But maintaining fish and flish tank is not good. What are the varieties of fish there in that aquarium, more than that available in normal aquarium pet shop.

The ambiance could be made better. If you are in the vicinity and have a spare 20 minutes and dont have anything else to do, check this out. Good variety of fish, and cheap entry fees. The way leading in and out of the aquarium from MG road side could have been made more organised.

Itz a place where we can visit and can know the variety of fishes...but it can be maintained in much more better way..good place to visit for children and the adults..
