Visited this place during Durga Puja. Foods were delicious. Extremely well behaved staff. Very reasonable price. In short “Authentic Bengali cuisine in very reasonable pricing”.Revisited the restaurant, fish kobiraji was utterly disappointing. They Served tiny piece of fish which coating was very thin and undercooked. The outer egg bed/bhurji coating was very thick. Better to avoid this item.Mutton and Bengali pulao was good and recommended.
Good place to dine.. Get the real kolkata taste in Bangalore.. tasty foods.
Capturing the essence of Bengal.. Bhajphori Manna Definitely lives up to its name and reputation. Bringing to the south of India from far away the food of the eastern region is a delight. From good gastronomical starters to all the fits of a proper Bengali meal this place has its all. I tried the Chicken Kabiraji and then the basanti pulao with kosha mangsho it didn’t disappoint. For dessert the mishti doi was also perfect. My friends have also told me to cook breakfast but I haven’t got the opportunity to try it. Customer service is average and the only Khan in this place is that the get up and ambience is still a little Shabby! But it definitely makes up for that by the taste.
It was good, food was very tasty, but price is little more.
Great food...always in awe with their offering...more than me, my kannadiga friend got absolutely amazed and also got a foodgasm at the end of our 5-course meal
The food in general is good. However, the mutton raan, which was suggested by the waiters, was bad. In fact it was downright awful. The taste , texture did not justify the high cost and as such was a total waste of good money. Otherwise, a good experience. The The highlight of the place was the security person at the entrance who really lightens up the day
Blessing for Bengalis in Bangalore..Must try for authentic bengali food. Great location in Koramangala.Best part is the ambience.. Soothing bengali songs playing all time becomes a bliss to the ears.
Food not good aloo baja was worst betki gravy was ok rice was cold no proper food avoid
If anybody wants to relish the Bengali cuisine, this is the right place to go for. Food served here is at its best and will surely be worth your time and money.
Delicious and tasty bengali food but could have been a bit less expensive. Or quantity could be a bit more.
Awesome Mutton Dakbunglow!!For now, less options in Specials category. But they are planning to resume in the near future.
Good bengali food. Average place. But outstanding hospitality by Manager
You want to transcend distance and feel like eating in West Bengal, then this is the place to eat at.
Food Quantity was good but quality could have been better.
Bhojohori manna is the place which is located in Kormangla and they make authentic bengali food. If you are a bengali, or even if you are not and you want to have some, this is the best place. Yes it can be a bit too over pricy, but its okay once in a while. They have amazing chingri maach(prawns) and their kosha mangsho(mutton) is amazing. Should even try their palao, its a but sweet. Rasagulla was a bit chewey but their mishti doing was perfect.Personal recommendation, try their daab chingri, which is tiger prawns cooked in a coconut. Their crabs are also very good and their cutlet which is minced meat covered in bread crumbs and deep fried is a must try.I loved the luchi(poori) and alu dum.
I had been craving for some Bengali food for quite some time and decided to visit bhojohari manna as some of my friends had recommended it. The restaurant has this old Kolkata vibe that I absolutely adored. I just wish it had been cleaner. The waiters took our order in Bengali. But what impressed the most was the food. It was worth 5 stars. It literally took me back to my childhood. We ordered a mini thali which had luchi, aloo posto, cholar daal, chatni, sweet etc. Also ordered kachuri, chicken kosha and sorse ilish. It had been some time since I had ilish and it was awesome! The sorse bata and the mustard oil based gravy was to die for! The portions were huge. We could not finish everything as we were so full. Price was also cheap compared to the other Bengali restaurants in Bangalore.Overall:Food: 5/5Ambience: 3/5Service: 4/5Value for money: 5/5
Very crowded. Waiting time may vary from 30 to more than 60 minutes. Better arrive around 11am for lunch.Food quality and taste is best. Fish and chicken was really great. In vegetarian also youll get plenty of options. And taste will be good too.The only issue is that its a bit expensive. Simple dishes will cost you more here compared to other restaurants. But still, once in a while its fine to be here. Its a heaven for bangalis.. 😁
Authentic bengali food ❤️ friendly staff and awesome food
Chitol macher kalia n fish fry were very tasty.
I have visited Bhojohori Manna in Kolkata and Mumbai in the past. But the food served in this store is subpar compared to the other locations. Being a chain restaurant i expected the taste and experience of customers would be same, be it mumbai or Bengaluru but i was sadly mistaken. Also i dont know if they do this on purpose, but all middle-range priced dishes were out of stock and only high-priced items like ilish or crabs were available were available when i visited this store. Very difficult to choose from if we are missing home and just want to go for a simple lunch, rather than splurge on 1 ilish dish. :(
1 bit pricy but great bengali food.
Service has become very poor. I think the main problem being not enough waiters to attend all the tables. When we reached we took the last available table and it was not over crowded also. We ordered some starters, we could see the order reached the serving table but never reached our table for like 10 mins. Only after we asked for a couple of times the starters reached the table.I have been to this place multiple times but never experienced such a service. They would have to figure out the problem if they have to retain customers.
If you love bangali food, then it’s a place in your mind! Food is good. If you are planning for weekends, make sure you have enough time in your hand. But don’t expect to compare it with Kolkata’s Bhojohori Manna! Neither food, nor ambience... not even the behavior of the staffs. Now coming to the ambience. Don’t expect that the air con will work!I will not mention about the presentation of food.... Ampora sorbot was served in paper cups!Food was okay...that’s all !
Noboborsho and that was reason enough to try the food here. We were a group of nine and had lunch. As it was Noboborsho the restaurant was only serving Prathama Thala. I had the Vegetarian thala. Shukto, Bhaja Moong Dal and Postor Bora were good. Personally loved Echorer Kalia (raw jackfruit curry). The Pulao was too sweet and so was the Aamer Chutney (green mango chutney). The lack of sour taste in the chutney was slightly disappointing. So was Mishti Paan and Ampora Shorbot, both failing to do justice to their names and turned out to be the regular sweet paan and sweet sour water. IMHO, the quantity of food served was a lot and so was the price.
Probably the best Bengali food I have had till date. I am not a fan of fish and other sea delicacies but the fish cutlet here is to die for. We went in a group of 9 and tried a lot from the cuisine and nothing was at all disappointing. For dessert we had icecream served with jaggery. I am definitely visiting this place again. A tip, go on Saturday for lunch as they bring fresh stock on Friday.
Food taste is OK, in some cases good. Average furnished. Staff behavior is good, but more cleanliness will be appreciable. This restaurant has two floor. 1st floor, they have approx. 20 seats and the 2nd has approx 35 seats. The top floor is well furnished than the 1st. They have one washroom at 2nd floor, so better to grab your seat at the same floor. As there is no lift, it is a bit tough for senior citizens to reach there. Pricing is a bit higher, than the service. Overall experience OK.SPECIAL NOTE: They open from 12:00 noon. If you are planning to go there on holidays/Weekends, try to reach within 12:30. Else you may have to wait outside. And yes, there is no parking at least for 4 wheelers. Happy eating 😀🐟🦀🦐🍚🍗🥚🍧🍽️
This place is great for Bengali food in Kormangala area. The ambience is great, the staff is nice. The food is great, the prices are fair. They should add more desserts to their menu. Great experience.
The food quality has reduced to a great extent and the service was terrible. Most of the items were not available. Though tried a lot of items but loved the tandoori pomfret and prawn malaicurry.
Bengali special, you can get awesome delicious Bengali food like luchi, cholar dal etc
The menu card is not for use.. They prepare only a limited numbers and write on the board which is available.. Not much to choose from.. Food is ok, but nothing as wow.. The must try is the icecream and sweet. Good taste.. Went there for trying some other food and ended up with the food wch is only available..!!! So better look in the menu online from home, call them and ask and then go for it... Also the price is too much for the quantity of food they served..
Great food. Quality is top notch. Everything tastes awesome. And it feels like a bengali restaurant as every item in the menu has a bengali flavor.
Authentic bengali food, bhetki fry is a must try.
Amazing place to have Bengal food, nice small seating place, service is fast, cost is on a little higher side but worth it.
Perfect place to enjoy Bengali food. The food are freshly cooked and I have enjoyed whenever I have ordered. There aam pora sherbet is best. Apart from this one should never miss ilish bhapa with piping hot rice. I also digged into shukto which is incomparable and best. We also tried mochar chop which is basically raw banana flower delicacy. This restaurant is bit on the expensive side but nevertheless one will get true sense of Bengali food here.
Best Bengali authentic food to get in Bangalore. Home away from home if youre from Bengal.
Excellent food at affordable rates. Good service and great food experience. Top picks - Ilish, Dap Jhingri, and the ice cream they make using Jaggery.
If you are looking for bengali taste than this is a good place. Not a budget one though. We ordered1 topse fry, 2 piece in one plate.1 plate luchi and aaloor dum. 4 piece luchi1.5 plate steam rice1 plate jhinge aaloo posto. Enough for 2 people1 plate mutton dak bangla. 3 big pieces1 plate bhapa ilish. One big piece ilish1 piece lencha (sweet)& 1 nolen guder icecream.Total bill was Rs. 1689.You can take your family. Staff are well mannered. Service time is also good. Clean washroom and good enough sitting arrangement is available. They do not have dedicated parking area so keep that in mind. Normally for 2 wheelers parking is not a problem.
Authentic Bengali cuisine
Dont like the food very much, not worth it, liked only chicken and prawn.... We ordered around 6items but its not at all worth paid, 4 persons paid around 700 per person but taste wise not satisfied at all......
Tasty, ambience is kk... but too costly as per the status of restaurant. In this price we can have at much better place.
Disgusting food # less quantity# expensiveWorst experience
Food is good. Service quality is not too good what we expect from Bhojohori Manna. If you visit bhojohori manna at Kolkata before, then itll not attract you much. But taste from Bengal Ill find here.We tasted kosa murgi mangso, mutton kosa, pulao, ruti, cholar dal, Misti Doi and rossogolla.
Love the food#enjoying bengali traditions
If you love Bengali food, then this is the place for you. There are a variety of options available and the whatever I ate here, I just loved it.❤️
Freshness of fish is not that good
Food was just average. The pulao was too sweet. And they charged 400 for some fish dish which was written to be 200. When we asked them about it. They said its a bigger fish thats why.
Had been to this place for lunch with a Bengali friend. The place was really crowded so had to wait for half an hour to get the table. The ambiance is nothing great to talk about. Its a regular restaurant. They serve authentic Bengali food. We ordered mohunbagani chingri (golden fried prawn) which was the best prawns I have ever had.We then had chicken kosha accompanied by baby naan which was very good. And we had misti polao with sorshe bhetki. Liked the curry but polao didnt appeal much to me as it was sweet. The jaggery rosogulla was really good. They were soft and juicy.Over all experience was good. The service was quick and good. A must visit place for authentic Bengali food.Food: 4/5Ambiance: 3/5Service: 4/5Price: 4/5
Delicious food in Bengali cuisine
Awesome bengali food. Reminds me of home made food
Food was tasty. And the service was good.
Bengalis from kolkata will not like the receipies. Its ok for bongs living in bangalore. Quantity is much less compared to price and quality.
Serves authentic Bengali cuisine. Located in the heart of Koramangala.
Luchi was not like Bengali style.Polau and mutton dakbanglo was good. Mochar chop was not that good. Must have is notun gurer ice cream.
Food is awesome, so is the ambiance but a bit on the pricier side
I have never eat Bengali food like fish, rice etc.But the first time I eat Bengali food, to be honest, it was amazing.Bhojohori Manna prepare a very authentic Bengali food.If any one wants to eat Bengali food from Bangalore, you can must go Bhojohori Manna.
You ll get there Authentic bengali food
The place was amazing with good food and good music. The warm welcoming staff and the delicious food really entices you to come here again and again.
Had some veg food as it was Ganesha Chaturthi..... The aloo dum gravy and the malai paneer were mouth watering....the ambience is pleasant and the service is good too
Bengali Food at its best 💯
Amazing food... Loved every thing that we ordered.. Rasgulla was the best I had in Bangalore.. Do visit the place..
Authentic Bengali Food and reasonable cost. Good service and quite a good environment.
Highly Overpriced. On weekend quality also deteriorates.
Better than any other bengali restaurant at the same price range.Good food however they are degrading their quality. Most of the items are not available on a holiday when the place is full of people.
Waiting time is bit too long. Service is ok ok. Slightly expensive but it is worth.. Rest its aNice place for lunch and dinner and one should try mutton dak Bangla..
Worst experience ever, did not expect this to happen, inspite of us calling and informing them that we are coming within 20 minutes, when the person who answered our call himself informed that the restaurant is empty and we can walk in and get a table, when we reached there, we found out that there was a lot of rush in the restaurant such that speaking to the receptionist was a big hussle. And on top of that when we enquired about our booking from the concerned person, he was so arrogant and rude that he didnt even listen to us and started yelling unnecessarily. We, being a regular customer of Bhojohori JP Nagar, decided to visit the Koramangala branch as the JP Nagar one is permanently closed now, but we never expected such a horrible experience as our each and every visit to the JP Nagar branch had always been satisfying in all means.
This restaurant is specifically famous for Bengali meals. Most people who are outside their hometown specially Bengali people come here to have Bengali dishes. We also went for same. But what I found out is that meals were not fresh and most items were not available for ordering. Rice looked stale and biriyani was also not that tasty. But in terms of pricing, price is little bit on the higher side. Not sure about other days but the day we went, the food was not so much tasty as we expected it to be. I have also posted the menu here so that it helps people know their pricing.
Authentic Bengali Food...but the price is too high
Delicious food nice place to visit
Restaurant was not that great. Over priced noisy place.
Food is ok but overpriced
Great food. Felt like home cooked authentic bengali preparation. Enjoyed it.
Really authentic Bengali. Staff and Cooks also. Ok. Service, but lip-smacking goodness
Can improve seating arrangement also its suffocating inside with all spices smell mixed together..food is good and has quite an OK variety for Bengali food. ...Adding a picture of Bengali pulao with Mocha chorchori
Good Bengali traditional food
Must try for Bengali fish lovers. The Hilsa (Ilish) fish in mustard sauce was amaaazzzzing and also the bhetki mach paturi. Had a fully satiated meal
I ordered ilish fish ..and it literally reminds me the tast of Bengal...
Bengali cuisine is the speciality of this place and they do justice to the tastes. Price is slightly on the higher side. Be prepared for some waiting time if you are going on weekends or holidays. You can order via swiggy also.
Food was great but the quality and quantity needs improvement. Was not worth the price we paid. Will not recommend
