Hard to find such places in Namma Bengaluru! A calm and peaceful temple. Has a small hill and on which is the temple. The stand made for slippers and all is good. Well maintained. Not good for the disabled as there are a lot of steps to climb. The temple is peaceful. Also, next to the temple they have a small hall where functions are conducted. That place is good too and holds around 200+ people.

Its a temple dearest to my heart with its tranquil ambience and greener surrounding keeping your mind calm and focus your energy completely towards divinity. Since onset of pandemic, lesser crowd helps get away from any distraction it contributed earlier. The book store has some new findings each time with childrens story book collection on Hindu epics or divine stotras or pooja items. Must go place to get divinity, urban lung space, exercise to limbs with climb to hillock for great darshan of Lord Hanuman, Lord Shiva and Lord Rama flanked by Lakshman and Sitamma. On the ground, we get darshan of Lord Ganesha, Goddess Rajarajeswari and Lord Surya bhagavan.

Built in 1972, Ragigudda Sri Prasanna Anjaneya Temple is dedicated to the very celebrated Hindu God- Hanuman for his unconditional divinity and devotion towards Lord Sri Rama. Located on top of a quaint hillock in 9th block of Jayanagar suburb in Bangalore, the temple houses a Shivaling in addition to a huge gorgeous idol of Hanuman and beautiful shrines of Ram, Sita and Lakshman.Spread over a vast area of 5 acres, the temple complex boasts of a beauteous water tank called the Pushkarni, an auditorium, a tiny Prasad division and an amphitheatre. It also flaunts an artificially created waterfall which prettifies the already enchanting hill top view. The temple has gained immense popularity in the last few years and has become an important tourist attraction of the IT city. The foot of the shrine also has tiny temples of Lord Ganesha, Rajarajeshwari, Devi and Navgrahas. Ragigudda Anjaneya Temple also has a charitable front which helps the unprivileged and those in need and care. The most important festival of the region is the Hanuman Jayanti, which is a 12- day long festival and is a grand event, celebrated with a lot of zeal and fervour

Then walk towards the temple for 15-20 minutes with very less crowd, possibly the time limit may increase because of crowd.Well designed barricaded way which will enable people to walk through in one way and then exit.Nice decent walk and very pleasant 30 minutes inside the temple.

This temple of Ragigudda Sri Prasanna Anjaneya Swamy is located on a hillock called Ragi gudda, in Jayanagar 9th Block suburb of Bangalore. The temple also has a Shivalinga along with Rama, Sita, Lakshmana, Hanuman shrine in the same complex . There is a smaller temple dedicated to Ganesha, Navagrahas and Rajarajeshwari at the base of the hillock. The temple also plays host to the holy trinity of the Hindus engraved on huge rocks at the side of the temple.according to ಸ್ಥಳ ಪುರಾಣ (SHTALA PURAANA- History of the place) the hillock that hosts the main deity Sri Prasanna Anjaneya Swamy was formed from a heap of Ragi Millet and hence was termed Ragigudda. During this period the holy trinity Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva expressed their will to remain near the hillock and turned themselves into stones near the hillock. These 3 stones now bear engravings of the trinity. The temple was formed in 1969 and registered in 1972.Over the past decades, this temple has become the social centre in this locality. The temple also has a charitable arm which provides affordable education and healthcare to the less privileged in and around the temple. In the month of December every year the festival of Sri Hanumajjayanthi is celebrated as a 12-day-long event in grandeur at the temple with over 50,000 pilgrims attending the festivities.

One of the best temples in Bengaluru. The ambiance, the environment, the upkeep, layout, crowd management and various activities of the temple make it easily one of the best temples in town. While the Ganapathi temple below the hillock is good, the Hanuman temple atop the mount is unique. Until few years ago, one could see far away locations of the city while circumambulating Hanuman idol. There are restrictions to climb the hillock but one can climb to a certain height and spend some time. The waterfalls under the Garuda statue looks cool during the evenings when it is lit. Overall a great place with family and friends along with expressing our piety to Lord Hanumanji

Very well organised and built. One cannot believe it can be so much peaceful just a few feet away from the Marenahalli main road. Like old and any other huge temples, there are 5 entrances or doors and each one is named Gate 1 to Gate 5.Once you enter, there are directions and you can easily follow them to reach the various temples within the serenity. Stop by stop, well organised railings and queue systems allow you to view the idol for a good time and male your prayers. There is enough space of sitting too.Best part of my visit was, after a very long time I did not see any pujari looking for money or should I say no one based their blessings on the money we offered.Apparently there is a lot more to this temple then it can meet the eye. There is Govu(cow) rakshak committee and everyday they perform puja within the temple premises. There is also a facility to contribute to the following day’s prasadam which won my heart. There is a meditation centre. There is also a Kalyana Mantapam. Apart from all this there is greenery and well made designs. The steps and barricades are strong and well planned to handle large number of devotees. All in all, it was a peaceful and happy visit to this temple. Parking is abundant for 2 wheelers but not sure about 4 wheelers.Photography is not allowed inside the temple premises so clicked a few from the outside.Pros:PeacefulWell planned and builtNo hush-bushVastly spreadLift facility available for senior citizensThe shoe stand is one of the best- the idea itself impressed me and it is free(you can put in any donations if you wish in the box here)Good parkingPujaris, security guards and staff were helpfulCons:The signage was mostly in Kannada. Though I cannot complain but it could help all regions and language devotees if there was at least English signage along with KannadaNot many directions. One has to take a pick with deviations and next stop unless you are familiar with the surroundings
