We went here with my 1 year old and she was absolutely thrilled. Such an enjoyable experience. The support staff really cares about each and every rescue animal and they are so well informed about every aspect of their species and care. The animals are adorable and the place is very well set up and maintained. We were a little worried about the heat since the sun was shining bright but the trees and general setup inside made it such that it was a pleasant tour. Would definitely recommend especially for young kids. The tour makes it an interactive experience rather than just seeing the animals from afar.

An amazing place to visit for adults, kids and especially those who have interested in wild life. Its about an hour drive from South Bangalore. If you are coming from North or West Bangalore, add another hour. One can get to touch, hold and feed animals and birds. The guides are very friendly. They speak a bit fast, so you got to listen carefully.Carry your own food, water etc. Its completely open space, so watch out for weather too.The visiting charges are Rs.400 per person anyone above the age of three. You can spend around 1.5 to 2 hours depending on the rush at the place. Its a completely different experience.

Very well maintained. Very organized, professional and knowledgeable staff to give us guided tours. Went here with family and friends and have taken back a wonderful experience. Especially good for taking children - I took my 3.5 year old daughter with me.Most importantly the animals were healthy, content and happy - the staff was very friendly but very particular with their instructions so that is tourists do not hurt or scare the animals, which I really appreciate.

A nice place for a half day family outing from Bangalore city. A pet sanctuary that kids will enjoy. The guides take you in groups and explain about animals. And the best part is that they allow you to pet them, feel them and feed them. A very good place that we enjoyed. Kudos to the team. How ever, felt that the entry fee of 400 for 3 years old kids and above was a bit higher for a 2-3 hour window. Ample car parking space for upto 50 cars+

Very nice place to visit for a day outing with kids. Many rescued pet animals are there like Rabbit, geese, duck, iguana, birds, emu, turtles, archer fish etc. Staff is very friendly, Sandy and team there are wonderful, they give lots of information to kids and ask questions to them. There is a small bamboo hut in there, where you can eat your own packed snack/lunch later.

Must Visit!!! 🥰😃I had not read any reviews and was expecting a normal zoo. It was just 20mins from my place, so visited casually with my kid. Both me and my 5 year old were surprised to be able to touch, feed and be inside their enclosures to see them. While both of us are utterly scared of animals, the best part was that it was totally worth visiting this place as it has definitely helped us get over our fears!Make sure to be full as there are no breaks in between the 1.5hour long, exciting tour! Have fun!

A jail for innocent animalsWe were at prani for just two minutes as I couldnt bare to see the poor animals in cages. Some of the people were lifting and touching the turtle and it was just so sad. Its a place for the entertainment of people at the cost of the lives of these poor animals. The management claims they are rescued. If animals are rescued, they must be rehabilitated and sent back and not caged up for the rest of their lives. Human selfishness all in one place. There is no point in cleaning and feeling animals and taking away their freedom. Remember that you are paying money to keep a living thing in a cage. Think before you visit.

My kids are very much into animals and this was a treat for them to watch and pet the animals. Absolutely must if you want to gain first-hand knowledge about animals. The guides and volunteers and totally invested into it and do this as a passion. They are very professional and thorough. It is amazing to learn such thing exists in India you can actually touch animals in captivity. The most amazing of all was Archer fish...true delight to watch. I would strongly recommend others to visit and especially with kids. If possible, please also extend donations so that such concept can flourish. Everything is perfect about this place, right from parking volunteers to ticket house and guides. Very reasonably priced and i will ensure to do advocacy of this place. If you want more time to pat the animals, i recommend reaching there between 9 and 11 am as the crowd gets to build-up after that.

Amazing place. Prani, is an interactive Pet Sanctuary on Kanakapura Road, Bangalore, which is home to various rescued animals like horses, iguanas, hedgehogs, Terrapins, birds, emus, and lot more. There are guided tours, where one get to know about the rescued animals, feed them, touch them. It is a very good practical experience for kids. Their canteen is currently serving only the staff due to Covid situation, however guests can carry their own Pure Vegetarian food and eat there. There is a waiting area that can be used for this. Other basic facilities like restrooms, drinking water are also clean. Everyone in Prani is very cordial and helpful. Overall a very good option for a day outing from Bangalore.

Not only are the animals well taken care of, the guides do seem to have good knowledge around each one of them and also genuinely care for them. All of us got to interact with the animals too. A must visit for adults and children alike. One dampener would be from the visitors side and not from the pet sanctuary. Its disheartening to see adults playing spoil sport and not heeding the guides advice even after repeatedly requesting. I would really beseech visiting adults to be more mindful of the animals and the people around them.

Excellent 1/2 day trip near Bangalore environs. The place and animals are very lovingly and well cared for. As previous posts have mentioned, best to see if you can make the first 2 groups starting 9:30 am and the next at 10:00 or 10:15 am. Beyond this on a weekend, it gets a bit crowded. and the time with the animals and staff may be compromised. Have not tried on a weekday. The staff are patient and some of them very knowledgeable to answer questions. One also gets to spend quality time and nearness with the animals, with the ability to touch/feel/feed, all of course with permission from the staff. Many earlier posts have mentioned the cost being a bit high (Rs. 400/person) but given the uniqueness of this place, the proximity one experiences to the animals, and most of all the happiness that you/children perceive from the visit knowing how these voiceless but beautiful creatures get the love and care they deserve, think the fee is well deserved. They also seek weekend volunteers so please do connect through their site if interested.

Trying to put as much details as possible:1. FEE: They charge an entry fee of Rs.400/ person above 3yrs. There are no parking charges and they have ample space for car and bikes to park.2. FOOD: Due to prevailing situation, they have paused their cafeteria for visitors. So if you are planning a picnic for a day or half we would suggest you to carry your own food items/ Lunch and water bottles (They do have water dispenser cans around). There are no hotels/ restaurants/ cafes/ Darshinis nearby and only tender coconut is available which is sold at parking lot.3. PLACE: They have decent place which can be covered within 1.5 hrs - 2 hrs max! They are open on all days between 9am - 5pm. They have kept sanitizers and hand wash facilities to keep ourselves and the animals clean from any infections.4. ACTIVITY: It is a guided tour(included in entry fee); meaning they take you in groups around the place and educate you about the animals, how to take care of them and their behaviors. You might have to wait for 10-15 min if the slot is not full (Depending on the crowd). You get to interact with the animals, rodents (friendly ones) and birds.5. OVERVIEW: It is a fun and interactive place for kids as well as adults (if you are pet friendly) and get to spend some good time with animals. Also you can bring your pets along with you (Confirm once with them if there is any change in the rules).#BurpOutLoudly
