The auditorium is really nice, the ac and sound system too work quite well. Has a old charm to it.The biggest draw back for me are the seats and washrooms. If the two get maintained better this auditorium will be amazing!!!The auditorium can be booked for theater performances, functions, dance and musical programs etc.

As the name goes, this auditorium is built in memory of the legendary violin maestro Late Shri. Mysore Chowdiah.. The super structure of the auditorium takes the shape of violin. The capacity of the hall is 1000+.Excellent Acoustics, centrally air conditioned. Absolutely the right place for concerts. Theres no other auditorium in Bangalore which matches this infrastructure.Easily 50/60 cars can be parked within the premises. This is a huge plus. Its situate in Malleswaram, the traditional residential hub of Bangalore. For music lovers Chowdiah memorial is a Paradise. World renown artists perform in this auditorium.Should mention a word about the rest rooms, renovated and well maintained.

Great place for live concerts and cultural dance programs. The place is nicely located in the center of the city and is a landmark. This massive structure could accompany a huge crowd of people provided with a range of 1k - 2k. Also this is surrounded by a Good Green Atmosphere to fell the nature with. The architecture is well planned that it fits within the fence giving all the amenities out of gratis. Located in a well placed belt of Malleshwaram and Yashwantapur. BMTC service is available till 650m farther to the Hall, but the other way round is a hectic task with 8 - 10 minutes traffic delays in peak hours.

This is an auditorium where cultural events and theater performances are held. I had been here for a school day. There is parking inside the premises but since the gates were closed, we had to park in the empty space behind this place. The stage is huge and the kids looked splendid performing here. The rest rooms were very dirty and I didnt see any cleaning staff around. This hall can easily accommodate 800-900 people. There is an in house canteen where you get tea and coffee.Around this we will find only roadside chaat vendors and a juice shop. There is not much choice of eateries available.

Had been there at Chowdaiah memorial Hall recently on 28 April for a concert by name RajaHamsa , Sinchan Dixit along with other well known singers sang songs of the great legends like IlayaRaja and Hamsalekha...To tell you about the auditorium, its disappointing about the seats which are uncomfortable to sit for 2/3 hours, very very old chairs though they are push back, you have to struggle keeping them pushed back, leg space is too little, you get back pain n leg pain..Chowdiah Memorial Hall is a cultural centre in Bangalore which provides a home for musical and theatrical performances as well as competitions. Located in Malleswaram, it was built as a tribute to Tirumakudalu Chowdiah. It is administered by Academy of Music, an independent registered body, founded in 1961..Suggestions: Chairs needs to be replaced or upgraded...

Review №79

Decent place for events. Not super amazing in terms of acoustics, and crowd management. People buy cheaper tickets and sit in the front row. Even when you request, they wont move. Authorities are not strict with such random occupation of seats by people booking lower denominations. Seats are just fine. Some of them dont recline. Others are rickety. Parking is a major issue. People park in the approach road when the inside parking is full. Inside parking area is not in proportion of seating capacity. The approach road is not very wide and you may have to spend 10-15 minutes to get out. Over all- average place that hosts some great artists and performers. The ticket pricing is super high- 5k for a front seat given the amenities. Of course, they earn because of the demand for the performance.
