I personally had very bad experience. Few doctors behavior is way too rude. Ignorance and arrogance can be seen in few Jr Doctor as well Sr doctor. They treat patient and their relative as slave. They talk in very harsh manner and I was also told that I can go somewhere else and get the treatment done. Crowd management is very poor. No social distancing or any Covid protocol maintained inside campus.

Pros: The doctors are great (if you can manage to meet one). The treatment is very good considering the volume of patients they deal with. One of the best government hospitals as regards facilities and available medical expertise.Cons: Extremely bad management of patients. No well laid out procedure for a referral from one department to another. They usually do not issue a token number if you go for a follow-up. Be ready for a few hours of uncertain waiting if you go there.

We went here for my father-in-law, we had very bad experience. First thing is about junior Doctors, these doctors treats Kannada talking patients very nicely, we’re as for other languages people, they will shout and force to talk in Kannada only, very local feeling fellows, I am wondering how they become doctors.Senior doctors are bit ok, but they only treat patients who has non sever symptoms, if they suspect severe symptoms all they will hide and nothing will tell.My personal experience is my father-in-law admitted here for 1 week for nuro treatment, doctors says all is ok everything is fine said after week and urgently discharged from hospital, after 1 week he is paralyzed. I believe they hide this information and they were not told us.

Probably the best government hospital visited by me till date. Like the entire city, the entrance will welcome you with green trees on your both side. Walk for a while and take a left turn to reach the OPD. Then after screening you will be referred to the OPD and then to the concerned department ( Neuro or Psychiatry).Now the best part are the doctors. They will give you sufficient time to explain your concerns. If possible, they will provide you the number of local doctor.

Worst and pathetic .My mother brother took me their as I was little tensed during exams and my mothers brother took me their and Mahesh R Gowda consulted me and prescribed Nexito 12 mg and he is not clear with what he telling. Sometimes he told chemical imbalance in brain, sometimes bipolar disorder. Sometimes he told its a physical problem like BP, you need to take medicines throughout life and sometimes he told its psychriatic breakdown.This doctor spoiled my normal life

I had come here for my mother’s treatment. She had severe headache and we were said this hospital provides best treatment for such issues. We got the token by 8:50AM and had waited till 4PM for the token number to be called. Post that we again waited in the waiting room for the patient name to be called. The worst was all the other patients who were behind us were called. No token system was followed. My mother is an elderly person, she was unable to sit for such long time. I asked for the faculties to either give us the report back (which they took at the time of providing the token number) or call us soon as my mother was really in tears with pains. They were least bothered to answer. I haven’t seen such an irresponsible response towards a patient who is in tears due to pain. They did not give the reports to us, I had to leave as my mother was not able to sit for countless hours. I would never ever recommend anyone to visit such place who treats a patient as “no man”. Worst ever service seen. Please do not visit this place if u need a quality service. I wouldn’t even give staff single star.

Was fortunate for having received my first vaccine shot at NIMHANS. Impeccable would be an understatement! Everything was perfect - right from having the vaccination center away from the hospital complex, to registration, to flow of individuals to ensure adequate distancing, the pre-vaccination consultation, the vaccination itself and then a short waiting period. Its really a model that other vaccination centers across the world could learn from.

My mom had a tumor in her brain and if it werent for this hospital, we dont know what would have happened to her. The hospital is considered to be the best in its category in India.Its very very crowded. People from all over the country are being treated in this hospital. Also unlike the private hospital counterparts, medical care is very cheap here. So obviously youll have to stand in very long queues and wait for a long time. I see a lot of people complaining about this fact. If you dont wanna wait and if you want world class ambience you should go to a reputed private hospital and get your bank account drained.The doctors in here are very dedicated and are highly skilled. They do their jobs very religiously. After getting my mom treated in this hospital Ive a newfound respect for the whole doctors community.

A really bad govt hospital for Paranoid Schizophrenia/mental illness. We took my sister to the emergency because she was psychotic and untreated for over 1year - discontinued medication. We showed them all her medical records from NIMHANS. They separated me from her and then let her wander off - we DONT KNOW where she is currently. Somewhere in Bangalore.Understand one simple thing: NIMHANS is a govt hospital which means they work with the police (who DONT forcibly commit wandering lunatics because its not profitable) and the judiciary (who take years to hear cases because thats very profitable) and the Army who sit behind their high walls.Instead of wasting time at NIMHANS - their only role is to extract money from the parents of the ill in the form of referrals to private quacks/Unnati - INR5k is the going rate; find yourself a good GP close by!

I feel this is the best Neurology hospital in India. The treatment procedure is very systematic and alike for all classes of people.The doctors are very efficient and polite. They will patiently listen to all you have to say, check you up throughly and treat you accordingly.Non-medical staffs are also very helpful and cooperative. The place itself is very clean, calm and well-maintained which is a rare sight at government hospitals.Only thing is that you will have to keep time in hand for treatment here. Since huge numbers of people come here, meetings with doctors gets a little prolonged. To avoid long queues please avail the online booking facility. It is very convenient.

Neurology OPD, one of the doctors we happen to meet for my father was very IMPATIENT!!! I felt like doctors along with everyone of us should first learn patience, social behaviour, civility and decency.

The hospital gives very good service and has excellent doctors. I want to make two suggestions 1. There is a long rush of patients at the door of the doctor and people rush in every time a patient comes out of the doctors chamber, creating a caox. There should be some system of number display, or else it is very tiring for both patient and there attendant.2. It takes nearly two hours to get your file, once I went to the record room and found a very laid back attitude of the staff and not willing to help at all.

The entire system here is inefficient. Even after making an online appointment, you still need to stand in a queue for over an hour because the lady working at the counter is slower than a sloth. Once the registration is done, you need to go to a place(we went to gate 1) where the front desk staff is very very rude. Again, you need to stand in a queue outside doctors chamber. Why couldnt they let everyone sit and keep calling their names? Instead, you need to stand in a long queue. Our doctor in room 902 was a lady and she went out to have tea for over an hour. Everyone kept standing in queue, old and young both. No response from anyone. The consultation given by her was also not at all good.I would not suggest to visit this hospital.

I had to take my senior relative here to see if he had a hematoma from his fall and about his visual field constriction. They get hundreds of new patients everyday but the administrative staff are completely incompetent to handle that scale. The grants they have received have not or will not help if they dont fix this. The administrative staff are very typical and perhaps an exaggerated version of the horrible image Indian govt offices have, from security, patient coordination, Medical records department all the way up to Medical superintendents office. They are very rude or abusive to patients. Appear to have no process whatsoever and have resorted to either indifference or outright verbally abusive attitude. Having gone there with a possible emergency, we decided to walk out of the OPD after having waited for one full day to be screened with a very minimal examination and then waiting almost for another full day there to be seen in the F1 OPD. It is useless to go there early even before their OPD opens. They will anyway make you wait the whole day claiming that they wont see patients in the order of arrival and will not tell you so even if you plead for your order in that never ending queue. They just claim the online reservation system will reduce your wait but its only for first level screen and also doesnt seem to reduce any wait time. They dont need funds to put a process in place. Hope they get their act right, if not they are headed to be a hell hole.

Neurology administration is vary bad. Though I enter the queue in early morning 5 AM I waited till 4.30pm. If you ask the administrative people they wont answer you properly. Doctors are good and helpful.Please put more concern towards admin area.

My husband is facing headache problem past 10 years.he consulted many doctors but nothing worked for him. Lastly we went to NIMHANS Bangalore. They charged just 20 RS. Since we booked appointment online , so we had to wait half an hour despite of many patients come there. First we were asked to junior doctor who took all case history then we redirected to senior doctor, who listened very patiently about my husbands problem and provided the solution.Staff was also very helpful. Lazy doctors... am very disappointed

Had a terrible experience. Had gone with a referral to meet a senior doctor, but they didnt let us meet him.Another doctor saw us, and he was too busy. In a 15 minute session, there were at least 15 disturbances - 3 times a junior doctor walked in for advice, once she walked in with another patient and my doctor started writing his prescription and looking at her medicines, asking her about what medication she is taking, 2 times another junior doctor walked in, 1 time the attendant walked in, 1 time the security guard walked in, 2 times other doctors walked in asking for list of appointments based on language, 1 time another patient walked in looking for another doctor, 2-3 times the doctor himself walked out for something.So overall he spent hardly 5 minutes out of 15, in which he didnt collect much information at all but still managed to give a diagnosis with medicines. How can that be trusted when he hardly tried to hear or understand or know anything about the problem? Not recommended for serious problems at all.

My mother had brain tumor cbe doctors suggested its critical surgery 99% risky and 1% life saver. His Condition was worsening with in 3days her left side functioning stopped. We took MRI Scanning at konginad hospital. If we go to KMCH & PSG Hospital they want blood results from the hospitals which they r working. Every day we took new blood results. They r not willing to see what we r showing.As per one of our friend suggested to go to NIMHANS we gotgot appointment through online just we have to enter the patient name and year and sex and adhaar no. If we enter these 4 details we can get appointment.We went from cbe to Bangalore NIMHANS hospital through car.For online appointment ₹.20 registration amount. For this registration only its long processing. Surely the securities are very rough. Its like government hospital like GH.After that the doctors examined her and surgery was done immediately. Only 5 hours she was kept in observations then she was sent to roomNow she is 100%perfect it is a miracle.

I just called right now to ask if it’s open or not t. The girl said it already closed . I was about to ask other details but she hung up the call on my face .What kind of behaviour is this ?I know the hospital authority won’t even take any step .You guys are showoffs .

Doctors are good but the staff is very worst. They treat people very rudely. If you ask for some help and you dont know the local language, they will scold you in their language, which you wont even understand. The petty staffs have some really big ego issues. Only junior doctors are available for consultation. Lack of senior doctors.

My sister has moya moya.this hospital was our last hope,thay did amazing job,now she is all right.. we realy thankful to this hospital and mr. Dhanajaya i bhat..

Worst staffs I have ever encountered in my life. They are extremely rude. Even the doctors in OPD cares about nothing. Who appoints and monitors them I wonder! Had heard of good things about NIMHANS but turned out to be utter disappointment. Please stay away unless you can manage bad behavior.

A neuro surgery of my son done here. It was successful and all kind of services was also extremely good.
