The restaurant is easy to locate, because it’s on the main road on the 1st floor of the building very near to forum mall. The restaurant is pretty economical and budget-friendly.The food was good when I went there 2yrs ago in 2019, but recently I visited there with great hope of having the same quality and taste of the food but didn’t get anything other than disappointment. They should put a little effort on taking care of their maintenance of the restaurant, especially their hand wash and washroom area.Overall I didn’t feel the same anymore in the restaurant with regards to food or cleanliness. But whereas I still got the same warm and polite assistance from the servers and the attendants present in the restaurant. The restaurant should work on food standards and the maintenance, that’s what I feel.Rest if you are looking for something budget friendly bengali food, then go for itm with no absolute doubt , but dont have high hopes for the food to taste.

Visited this place recently craving for Bengali cuisine and I wasnt disappointed.Right from Bhoj Thala to the 10-in-1 veg Thali, the food tasted awesome. What I really loved about this place is the polite and prompt service and the economical rate. The quantity of the food was pretty sufficient too. Also, the washroom was neat and clean. Will visit this place again, soon!

Awasome place but specially for those bong, who staying in Bangalore for a long and badly miss the authentic taste of bengali food. All the preparations are good and must try Raja Rani Thali which is more than enough for two person. We visited their Whitefield branch and I guess there is slight difference in Menu for other outlets. So before visit its better to check the menu on their website.

If you bare looking for a bengali cuisine this is the perfect place to take your wife or friend.1. Ambience : Ambience is really good with lighting and bengali music playing in background having a visual of cultural painting which perfectly suits you bangaliana. I will rate it 5/5.2. Food: Food is also good and you will get variety of options. I will rate 5/5.3. Service: I will rate 4/5. They provide a good service but they add service charge extra on your bill along with 5% GST(you can ask them to remove the service charge).4. Quality: Food quality is also good. I will rate 4/5.5. Price: Price is ok as compared to other bengali cuisine. I will rate 4/5.

We had a great experience whenever we have dined there. The stuffs are amazing, I would like to mention Rockys name specially. He treats us very well whenever we visit for dining in.1. First thing is the taste, we have tasted fish fry, dimer devil, fish kobirazi, chingrir chop, postor bora, alu bhaja, mug dal, chingrir malaikari, mutton kosha, mutton dak bunglow, chicken dak bunglow, sukto, alu posto, chatni, dhokar dalna, dim kosha, vetki vapa, biriyani. So among these items I like dimer devil, mutton and chicken dak bunglow, alu posto, vetki vapa and alu bhaja most. So most of the time I dine in, I order these items. I didnt like chingrir chop, chingrir malaikari and kolkata biriyani that much here but one should try because everyone has their own choices.2. The quality is good. Whenever we dined at Sorse we had fresh food. So quality is really good.3. Quantity is worth the price.4. About the Price, I would say compair to the other bengali restaurants in Bangalore its offering good food at cheaper price. And also they come under Zomato pro so you get extra offers if you have Zomato pro membership.

The food was overall good but i was a bit disappointed with the Kolkata Chicken Biryani. It was medium spicy, I dont think Kolkata style is suppose to be spicy at all.I like spicy food but not in Kolkata style biryani; it is suppose to be fragrant, rich and should have mild flavours. Further the egg was not fired and it was given to us later instead of with the biryani, plus the chicken didnt taste like it is suppose to. The place has potential but it needs to try to be as authentic as possible.

The first place where I liked the food but the service ruined the night this rating this as a 3 but not 4.We used our ZOMATO gold option and went for a weekend dinner.Ordered mustard fish curry with plain rice, which was very near to the authentic mustard curry fish. Also chicken dak Bangla with loochi. The food experience was good. Now coming to the service, we could not peacefully enjoy our food because the next table was getting cleaned and all the junk from that table was kept on ours.Coming to the billing section, we were waiting for more than 10-15 mins to get the bill, lastly went to the counter and paid it through phone PE, as the guy from the counter vanished in mid of the payment, we showed the receipt to the second person in charge and left. The guy who made our bill came shouting behind us saying how can we leave without paying the bill which was very insulting and careless from his side. Thus a bad experience even though the food was good.

This is a small outlet in whitefield. They dont have much space for parking. Staffs were polite but definitely service could have been much better, as in it would be great if the staffs can make a note of the food items when customers order so that they dont have to come around and verify the order 3-4 times. Ambience was okay..I felt like the corner areas should be more lit.Okay coming to food I really loved their daab chingri the most amongst all the food items that we had order! Next, is mutton jhol - the jhol was indeed tasty but unfortunately they only served bones which was a huge disappointment. Also, dhokar dalna was pretty average because I have tried out this food item in other restaurants in Bangalore.

Really nice place to hangout with family and friends and experience the authentic delicacies of Bengal. We went last night to celebrate Durgapuja Navami..and had a wonderful time. Situated on the main Whitefield road with space for car parking. Very nice ambience inside the restaurant with some old Bengali melodies being played in the background. Best part is the food and staff behaviour. Staff is very friendly even if there was a lot of rush they had a good smile on their face while serving food. Overall a great experience and would recommend other people to enjoy Bengali cuisine here if they are staying in or around Whitefield. And also, the prices are also not over priced!Suggestions for Improvement: Dal that was served in the Thali was average in taste (that may be due to the rush in that particular day), Prawn Malaikari - I didnt feel it was authentic. The portions of food served can be slightly increased.

If you want authentic Bengali cuisine, this is the go to place. Just 2 mins from Forum Value Mall, Whitefield. You can easily spot it from the road. I went with friends and family together (group of 6 people). We ordered chicken cutlet and fish fries for starters along with sprite, although we wanted fresh lime soda but it was unavailable. The starters came within 15mins. They were hot and fresh. Although I found the fish fries were slightly over fried. But nonetheless, both the cutlet and fries tasted excellent. They were served with kasundi or mustard sauce and salad. For the main course we ordered chicken Biryani, parathas, chicken dak banglo , chicken chap. All came after another 15-20mins. The dak banglo was awesome, it is a must try. The quantity was also sufficient compared to the price. The Biryani was pure Kolkata Biryani with a potato , egg and 2 pieces of chicken. The parathas were light and with minimum oil. The chicken chap was also delicious. Coming to the decor , it has good paintings hanging throughout the walls and warm yellow lighting will set your mood. The seating arrangement is also good , but I would recommend prior table booking. Overall a great place to satiate your bengali taste buds.

Sorse in Bengali means mustard, which is one of the important part of their cuisine.I visited this place on a Saturday afternoon, and within few minutes after we came crowd started pouring it and it was totally full.Starters-We had poppy seed fritters, banana blossom croquette(mochar chops) which were really amazing.Fish kabiraji was another one, though it was bit on oily side.Main course-Luchi and chicken kosha was a great combination to have. We also tried masoor dal, rice and bhetki with aloo bhaja. To end the dinner, we had rasagulla with was again very good.It is a small cozy place and food is really tasty.
