Last Sunday, inspired by Bangalore Food Club (Facebook group) post of Raunak Kundu.. Visited the place.. With social distancing in place it meant only alternate tables could be occupied.. Order was placed via mobile..We ordered Lal Mirch ka Paneer Tikka (🌶️🌶️🌶️) , Masala Papad for starters..Masala Chaas🥛 and Cosmopolitan (cocktail 🍸) to wet the throat..Then ordered Kanastari Baingan 🍆 Bharta (Mild but Full of Flavor) with a spread of breads(Soft and still had the crisp)..I was so full but couldnt leave without the Mawe Di Lassi.. 😜 (Sufficiently Sweet.. of course Thick and Creamy)The Ambiance was homely.. And Good collection of old songs playing in the background made us loose track of time.. 😛 The food was surely yumm and service was quick.. Staff was humble..The only let down was the cost.. A bit pricey i felt!!!And yeah, wish there was Paan available (guess the pandemic is to blame for it)

I used to visit the Dhaba on Outer Ring Road in Marathalli and loved the food there. Just found out that they have shifted to Koramangala along with a couple of other branches. Was happy to hear that they also have a buffet, so to celebrate my wifes birthday we went there.First Disappointment - No BUFFET although it is advertised everywhere. We ordered drinks and starters - Buy one and get one free was on for certain brands of beer, we choose two of those brands and one without the offer.Starters, and food ordered, we looked around, the ambiance was not as good as the original, but kept us entertained and our conversation on the location rather than on other topicsI will not write much about the food as we had a fantastic time enjoying the flavors and spices. The mutton was melt in the mouth and the gravy was heavenly. We requested for some extra gravy and the chef obliged.Desserts - we ordered one of each of what was available and nothing was special. So no comments on thatService was not upto the mark.  In face we had to keep on calling the server to assist us - for water, for serving etc.The last straw was the offer. Buy one get one free Only if you finish it in the restaurant. You are not allowed to carry away your half finished drink even if the restaurant gets closed due to time. We are specifically asked to leave back one opened and one unopened bottle of beer when we were leaving. This is a first in any restaurant that I have been to.Prices are high compared to the other restaurants in the area.Overall the food taste is the only point that would make us reconsider to visit this place.

This is a authentic punjabi food place. The place is built around a dhaba theme with lots of colorful walls and themed drawings based on punjabi culture. The seating arrangements are comfortable and they have space for dual people to a group of 10. On the menu the items are well described. Although at first glance you would find the rates to be expensive. Especially the curries here are quite on the higher end of price, but the served quantity would fair well for 3-4 members. The taste is great and delicious. Also they have valet parking and just the open space for two wheeler parking. Non-veg lovers would find wide variety. Also there is a buffet on offer but served only during lunch time. The buffet price is as usual.

I have been to the Marathalli outlet but the Indiranagar one has even better food.I loved the butter chicken here and the garlic tomato cheese naan is just off the charts. And the chhoti glassiyan is a wonderful option. All restaurants should have mocktail samplers. I loved the rangeela (lime plus passion fruit), the aam panna and the shikanji. And the service was really good. I have been here for a dinner with one of my friend. The ambience looks good with some short notes on the wall which gives you a feel like a dhaba. The menu seems to be little expensive and it’s a restaurant where it serves alcohol too.The taste was not so great for this price range. People can try this place if you are planning for a get together with small group of friends. Pretty sure that it’s not a pocket friendly place. Even alcohol prices seems to be decent.Service is good and not very great. The menu was two big record books, yes they have a good variety of foods for sure.

Last weekend we went for dinner at Dhaba 1986 as I had a massive kulcha craving. The cons outweighs the pros to be honest. The service was super slow and no coordination between the servers. There was a waiting for the table. On asking for a glass of water we were told to wait a moment. The moment came when we had to ask again another person after waiting for 15 mins! The food is no doubt tasty but is it worth the price they charge? No, definitely no.The galouti kebab comes in a very chewy paratha base. The kebab is delicious though. The onions soaked in vinegar is a complete disappointment. It has no pickled taste whatsoever. Felt it was covered in beetroot water to get the colour. The garlic naan was on the thinner side but made well. The kulcha was stuffed well. Coming to the most disappointing part: Butter chicken. 4 small boneless chicken lost in thick gravy. Charging Rs 549 for this dish is no way justified! We had to eat the breads with the gravy mostly. From the picture you can see that the chicken pieces are not visible. That is because the small pieces drowned on the weight of the gravy.Again reiterating that food was good. But then either the prices should be reworked or the quantity.Complimentary onion rings were given.Paying Rs 1462 for this meal was a huge disappointment.P.S:- Attaching the bill and not editing the pictures with any filters.

This place turned out quite a delight. I rarely east north Indian food in Bangalore restaurants because they never get the taste right and it just spoils the experience. So best avoided. But a friend recommended the saag and makki ki roti here coz I was craving for it. We went for lunch and ordered just that along with some lassi and Gajar Halwa. The saag and makki roti was phenomenol. My friend n I finished the saag despite the portion being huge. The Lassi was sweeter than we would like and the Gajar Halwa not quite there. But the primary reason we went there was the Saag and roti which was excellent. The decor is nice too, very Dhaba like with quirky quotes everywhere. We came out satisfied. I would recommend going here for sure.

Two parts to the review : one good and one bad !They make you feel welcome. Extarordinary service and hospitality. The guy with moustache, dont know his name promised paneer in a starter which did not have it as a regular serving. When the starters came there was no paneer! My cousin remarked and the staff was attentive to us and our body language. Lo behold they got the paneer cubes. Food is delicious. I had booked through Dineout and therefore got two complimentary mocktails , we opted for Lassi. The mocktails and Lassi is overpriced. The manager and the serving staff did an act of dancing which appeared impromtu! Dancing was not great but the attitude and entertainment was great. Good Bollywood music too. Go and have a good time with your family or friends3 December: Visited the place after almost a year. The standards have seen a dip. The service, cleanliness and attention to detail is very poor. On one of the walls the paint is peeling off. We had to return a spoon and plate for not being clean. Wrong food was kept on the table , luckily not served as it was non-vegetarian and we had ordered vegetarian. Butter milk ordered was not brought in time in spite of two reminders.
