Restaurant like Bhojo Hori Manna, in Bengaluru its heaven for Bengalis to get the Authentic food experience. Its been a year i didnt had bengali food and finally planned to Go give a try to this restaurant as this restaurant is famous in Kolkata and it has many branches all over.So I ordered for starters Chicken kobiraji cutlet and itbwas so yum!!.Aloo Post,Bhaja Katla Maach,Katla Maacher Jhol, Bhaat(rice), Daal and Dhokar Dalna. All was awsome taste just like a bengali wants, but the dhokar dalna was little sweetish but anyway was good. Staffs were also good and polite and they know their work very well..I liked it.One star is less because at last my friend found an egg shell on the rice bowl and a hair in the Aloo posto..So next time be little careful while serving. But seriously you guyz rock for the Bengaliana food u serve.

As a Bengali none better can judge Bengali food. And since I cook a little I know about the quality of the food once I taste. Hence I suggest to stay away from this place. They have a combo which you cant have on weekends, but not mentioned in the menu. Days specials are what I ordered. So my plates were Puri (luchi), Porol Dahi, Jumbo Prawn Malaikari, and Bengali Friend Rice (polao). While I was excited with the Puri and Porol, and they tasted nice. Then prawns went horribly wrong. That was ice cold. So o sent it back saying heat it up. Once it was back, outer a little hot and inner was hot. So the microwave Ed it? After that the prawn was hard as rock. The polao was way overcooked. So no wonder I had a stomach upset in the night. Well youve advised. Choose at your discretion. They earned points for location and starting food.

Very popular Bengali style food restaurant in bangalore. Lots of choices available. I personally feel they are not 100% authentic but good. Enjoy food with your friends/family here. Decent set up with authentic Bengali cuisine. Vegetarian Mini Thala which I ordered was well laid out with many items. Better to attempt with a hungry stomach. Could be more for one person. Most items are a bit more pricey when compared to restaurants in the same class. Attitude of stewards is friendly. Sober ambiance. Parking is limited outside the restaurant and avoid four wheelers. A treat for Bengalis and those who love Bengali cuisine.

Most dishes, typically Bengali, was good as usual. However, mochar ghonto (banana flower preparation) was quite badly cooked. Told the servers, but their reaction was as if its expected. Had taken few colleagues from Karnataka for a taste of Bengali cuisine, being their first exposure they didnt find anything wrong - but I felt little disappointed as was expecting all dishes to be uniformly well cooked.

Here is my reason behind the single star. Its a great bengali restaurant and we get to eat semi delicious dishes. But pricing and quantity? A single katla jhoul plate contains one friggin fish piece which costs 150 with very little gravy which is probably not enough for a kid, let alone an adult. This is just one example. The daal is the worst, how much does it cost to prepare daal? A plate of daal is about 100 bucks and delivered in an amount of a medium cup of tea. I know you are bringing a cultural bengali food to people like us who misses the home food, but we are not responsible to pay your rent along with your food costs. If you are charging more, its okay too as long as you are giving enough quantity.

Well, Im a vegetarian and let me start off by saying that this place isnt the right one. But Im still giving the review from the point of view of the meat eaters in the group as well. So, we ordered a hell lot of stuff considering we were 3 odd people, refer to the pictures, and apart from the yummy ice cream with jaggery (a must order), nothing was even above average from a vegetarians perspective. For the others, the mutton was great and the fish was good. The portion size is really small but then even the price is not very exorbitant.Final verdict : vegetarians stay away and bengali manus can drop in for some fish n mutton.

The place is utterly expensive for the service and Bengali food, we are 2 people had one starter, one side dish, one rice, misti doi, aloo bhaja, it cost approx 1700 inr, if u order thaali they will make u wait for half an hour then inform thaali is not available, so now u have to order what ever limited items they have to offer. Than they will mix up the bill they have given me initially a highly inflated bill of 4k, when I raised objection we havent ate all this stuff.than shard original items. So bad experience. My friends had doi katla it was just the size of our 3 fingers, with lots of waste to be thrown, if u have eaten there Kolkata outlet its total disappointment, when compared.

The visit to Bhojohari Manna last week was was my first encounter with a Bengali food joint. It was also the first time I got to know that Puris (in Punjabi) are also known as Luchi (in Bengali). The place has a very simple look and feel, offers a quick and hospitable service and has probably the largest collection of Bengali food in the town. Bengali food instantaneously reminds of Mochli, Roshogulas, Rice, which I am sure must be great at the place, but we for some reasons stuck to Veg food for the day and ordered Aajker Bhajibhuji, Luchi-Alor Dum and Lochar-Chholar Dal. Basis one of our friends recommendation, we also ordered Date Chutney, which was indeed very different and nice. The best from what we ordered was Luchi-Alor Dum (famously known as Puri Aaloo), Luchi-Chollar Dal (Puri with Channa Dal) was a little sweet and didnt entice my taste buds, but I am sure that is the way it is supposed to be. I dont have a sweet tooth and hence, sweet gravys in particular turn me off. Aaker Bhajibhuji was OK, was more like Lacha Aaloo mixture, freshly prepared and served. We also ordered Roshgulas, which seemed a little over-cooked.If you like Bengali food, Bhojohori Manna is the place to be !!P.S. - Bhojohori Manna has very few options for Vegetarians, but has an exploratory menu for non-vegetarians.

Mouth watering Bengali food at high price. Could have been more competitive in terms of pricing dishes. Borishali Ilish and Dabh Chingri are worth trying irrespective of being Bangal or Ghoti. Kankra (tiger crab) also tastes good. Other delicacies include Pabda Machher Jhal, Pomfret with Shorshe, Jhinge Alu Posto, Inchorer (baby breadfruit) Torkari, Mochar Ghonto and so on. Nolen gurer ice-cream is a patented dessert of Bhojohori. This is basically frozen condensed milk with an extra Nolen Gurer topping.
