Food is not cooked properly both of my dishes were hard to chew and very raw like it is not cooked properly, taste is also bad, there is nothing special here, the same taste with better cooked meals are available on street shops.

I went to this place with lots of hope, but it turned out to be a disaster. I lived in Chennai for 6years, so I am fond of few tamil restaurants. Firstly the restaurant was fine, but not hygenic. So I am disappointed there, then coming to food I have ordered for 4 dishes (2 starters and 2 main course) but none of them were good. I have to cancel one of the main course because of its taste. The manager was good enough to accept my cancellation so I need not pay for it. I might not go to this restaurant again.

I hoped that the place would have been good and invited my friends as well... We went there waited for more than half an hour but no one attended to get the order.. Called the waiter multiple times.. But no one even cared, the worst service.. There are many other good places in a walkable distance.. So we got up and walked out.. ! Worst service ever I had in a restaurant!

Overall I liked it but somehow the taste that I had in Chennai (OMR) was missing somehow. But nevertheless good taste.

See, I like Anjappar food I order from swiggy very often. What happened on Saturday was that, i wanted to go to the hotel and enjoy the dining. Unfortunately the captain didnt take my order even after 15-20 minutes, I called them 4 times. None bother to ask me want I need. I was hungry and didnt trust they will serve me food ontime. I had to leave after 20 minutes to another restaurant.

Used to be a regular customer here. But never going to order anymore. Ordered chicken Biryani from here with the hope that I was missing Chennai. Alas its just tomato rice with chicken pieces in it. The raita is smelling burnt. This is not Anjappar quality.

Amazing food and service! It was a pleasant experience. And different varieties of chennai food are available even for eggetarians. Staff is very helpful and gives attention to all the requirements of customer and suggests accordingly.

I really dont know what happened to Anjappar these days. Food use to be good and authentic Chettinad food. Now the case is totally different. Me and my friend ordered kola and rabbit biryani, fish finger and prawn pepper fry. Nothing was good. We felt that we have got food which was prepared a day back(especially the biriyani). Fish finger was fried too much and prawn was too hard. I use to be the fan of anjappar. I had been to restaurant multiple times in chennai and I never had this experience. I am giving 2 star only since the service was good. We are looking for authenticity in both food and service.

We are going to restaurent to have food by our own money. So the service in restuarent was not good as guys there were always coming in between without wearing mask and disturbing our peaceful dining and privacy. We didnt give tip at last and the waiter there was saying something rude to us for not keeping any tip.So we wont be visiting the restaurent again.

Only they have brand name. Rest are worst. Anjappar, Indira nagar maintain good taste and quality food. Here its opposite, I never recommend to dine or order in this outlet.

Oppositie to Innovative multiplex at Marthahalli. Even this is located at service road, parking is available. Good ambiance and hospitality. We had mutton biriyani. Which is really good and recommended. Food is served in banana leaf which gives you good feel. They serve a drink which is made out of some squash. I personally didn’t like. Rest everything is good.

Guys brought my grannys cooking aroma & flavours. Customer service was great. Biriyani was authentic Chettinad flavours. Love you chef! Ultimate & unique taste of tender coconut payasam must try in Anjappar.

Pretty classic ambience and standard service. . The Biriyani had good flavour however cant call it of chettinad style . . Maybe this is the modern version Biriyani.. we also ordered for chettinad roast which was also did not qualify to be chettinad style .. definitely good food and standards but the chettinad feel is definitely missing .

I went to the place to experience the chettinad style cooking and being a famous chain of restaurant in Chennai. The ambience was really good, with a set of seats facing the ORR. Food is served in plantain leaves(yep !!). The menu includes variety of dishes to try including regular veg/non-veg meals. I tried the Chicken biroyani , Mutton Biriyani and Anjappar Fried Chicken. Mutton was ordered with seeraga samba rice and chicken biriyani in Basmati. The chicken Biriyani wasnt that good, the aroma/masala was not good. But my friends told that the cooking was in normal Tamil Nadu style. Mutton Biriyani was awesome, the rice added a special taste to it. The fried chicken was good - Deep fried chicken marinated in Cashew, Ginger garlic, chilly paste. The quantity was good.Only downside being-The floor boys were a lot confused with the orders that we had to remind them 3-4 times our order. Even though there wasnt much crowd, the serving was delayed unnecessarily.

Authentic chettinadu style. Sura puttu, Crab lolly pop, keema balls and mutton sukka are must try. Typical tamilnadu style mouth watering briyani. If youre game try Rabbit fry, Mutton brain/lever fry or feast your taste buds with tender coconut payasam. Place is small expect delay during weekends. Cozy and average cost for two is Rs. 700-800.

Ambience is good, good hospitality and worth every penny. I had the ghee rice which is full of pure ghee overwhelmed by the ghee

Nice ambience, food too overpriced, mushroom gravy was tasty, while the non-veg we ordered(fish fingers and Ginger chicken gravy) were disappointing. I liked the way food was served and staff were courteous too.If quality of food is concerned, I wont recommend.

I had a bad experience recently. To escape from my PG roti I went there and found that its no better than my PG food. Kadai vegetable was just a bluff with lots of big big onions and capsicum but nothing else. Even gravy wasnt there. Its all water!But their hospitality and ambience was very good. Probably I went on their rough day. Expect a better experience next time...

I should definitely say this that it is the best ever restaurant in hospitality. I loved the way they served food. Food was good and most importantly I loved the hospitality. Though we were very late they never told the restaurant will be closed. Instead they politely served food.

We ordered pan ice cream, veg spring roll and chicken 65 biryani. They took about an hour to deliver. They charged 164rs for pan ice cream but hardly even a scoop, utter waste of money. Veg spring roll was oily and spicy to the core while the biryani was just ok. Will surely never order from this place hereafter.

Very nice place. They serve food well. If you love spicy foods, then you will love this. We tried crab masala, butter Naan, Phulka. It was really nice.

This one in Marathahalli used to be good initially, but now the quality and taste has gone down drastically. I tried fish fry and it was damn old refrigerated, couldnt stop writing this review. Very unfortunate experience at one of the top restaurants..

Poor quality dishes served.. papad was served for tandoor rotti.. when asked they gave an answer that cook is new guy... Oh! My god... What an answer.Menu has one price... Bill will come with another pricing.. that us decided by computer... On of the best place to have non-veg. Authentic taste and price is reasonableThey have taken all precautions during these COVID-19 pandemic. I would highly recommend this place for any Non-veg lover.

Aweful! They will serve you half the things if you order a non veg meal & on your complaint they say you should have asked for it & then we serve what we are charging you. Also during weekends they dont focus on service but focus is on billing. They will charge you for things they did not serve

Great Place, Ambient, SpaceyFoods are Tasty upto the standard.Garlic Naan was superb as compare to Butter Naan which are of same price and you can request them to put butter in the Garlic Naan.Panner Butter Masala was Testy, you wont feel spice but nicely and slowly the test will build up and then you will feel a bit spicy which is great.Stuffed Chicken Legs were ok, too much masala and a little bit uncooked.I forgot which Mutton Cury we ordered, but was good.Staffs are Nice and well mannered.Overall its a nice place to enjoy your dinner with friends.And most interestingly they serve food on Banana Leaf.

It was horrible experience. I used to go for chettinad non veg meals , it was poor taste and served saltless food. If I ask for curry they are coming with sambhar, they are not at all listening properly what customer is asking . Though there is less crowd , they are failing to serve timely. Highly irresponsible suppliers and supervisors too. Not even deserved for one star rating.

We checked in for lunch, Quality of the food was very poor..we were served biryani with hair in it, we asked them to change it, and we found hair again in the replaced food. On raising this concern manager is offering us with a plate of naan and gravy for no cost.. as if we re longing for freebies.. Very worst behavior from the server and manager. When u enter the restaurant which is in the first floor of the building, u will be receiving a warm welcome at the entrance. Its the best place to celebrate birthday as they play music accordingly which many restaurants dont do usually. Waiters are polite and they bear a smile with them which gives us a good feel. Quality and quantity of the food is good. Moderate pricing is an added advantage to celebrate party here. Both veg and non veg served here

Very costly.. Not worth.. Quantity is very less.. We hardly get 4 pieces for every dish we order. And pieces are way smaller... Also the cost for each dish is over 250.. Price is fine. Atleast they should give more quantity... Totally disappointed to have spent more thank 2k for 4.. Stomach was not full... Overall very disappointing.. Taste wise its good.. But not worth.. Spending 250+ for side items with 4pieces is not worth.. I repeat very small pieces.. :(

The food is awesome. Great place for non veg lovers. I had full non veg meal for lunch and everything that served was awesome. The only reason I am giving three star is for the cleanliness. It could have maintained a little more clean.

It was nice to be in Anjappar Chettinad today. It was a good time pass for us. The food was not good hot enough. But the staff were with good attitude and provided right hospitality. It was my first check in and I plan to give more in the future. Keep it up 👍
